I live in Friendswood, just Southeast of Houston. I have larger tires and ended up getting a tuner that allowed me to change the low pressure alarm, I keep mine at around 32-35 PSI so that the tires wear evenly....anyways to answer your question. Before I had adjusted the pressure alarm it would go off on occasion in cold temperature (used to live in Indiana) and all I did was fill it back up and drive a bit more and it would turn off. If yours are still causing the alarm to go off after correcting the pressure issue maybe try and take it to Discount Tire and see if they can reset your TPMS sensors.

Best way to find on road pressure is to do what's called a chalk test. Basically park the jeep on a long flat surface. Rub some chalk on the front of the tires. Drive about a hundred yards get out and see if the chalk is evenly worn off. If the center is worn more than the edges let about 10 psi out and try again. If the edges are worn more than the center do the opposite. But honestly I'd drop to about 30psi for on road and check from there. It'll soften up the already stiff ride of the jeep

Once again, I'll plug the Bantam Heritage Jeep Festival fly to Toronto, Have MR. B drive down (6 Hrs) to Butler Pa. Birthplace of the Jeep! last year was 2400 registered Jeeps.. They also hold the world record for longest Jeep parade. Take that, Daytona beach! If not and you go to Colorado, The Alpine Loop is the place to be. On my bucket list.

AdventureDex yeah I only run 28-30 psi. Have you heard of the chalk test I recommend doing that it's the best way to get your tires to the perfect psi

Do some research on the “chalk test”. 55 psi is WAY too high, even for 37”s. I’d do something between 28 and 35 at most.

Yeah I agree, 28 to 35 when loaded should be more than enough for a 1 and a half ton vehicle. 55psi is way OTT the ride must be horrible.

Have adjusted the pressure since. I was experimenting with difference pressures for the bad roads I have. I believe around 40psi is ideal. Thanks for watching!

@@adventuredex at 40 PSI only a small portion of your 37's are actually touching the ground vice the whole tire. Bringing it down to around 26 psi will allow for a much more even amount of tread and you wont find yourself replacing your tires as fast. I know you are on an island so roads are likely different then driving hwy but may want to consider 26 for the longevity and comfortableness of your ride. I really enjoy your videos.
