I just started my Monstera journey today. A friend gave me a "baby" (2.5ft long, 6 leaves, alla bit bigger than the size of my hand) and i can't wait till she grows to this size! Such a cool jungle plant! Thank you for taking us on this journey!!

Oh! Yaaaahhhhhhhhsssss! I been waiting for this! 👏 Plant pointer:: during re pots sprinkle some endo mychorzial fungi ( like plant success organics brand) in the hole and on top of the soil when done to prevent shock. I did an experiment in a prop box one with one without and I have never seen anything like it. The one with Myco grew faster , bigger, quicker, and the ROOTS were thick and strong! The other roots were thin and long and weak and stringy and broke easily. Use the Myco!

I too have a giant monstera and I up-pot her every other year. The in between years I give her a root chop. It’s not talked about a lot in the plant community but it saves floor space and money on new and bigger pots. Mine is in a big 20-24 inch pot and I chop about 1/4 of her bottom roots and about and inch or 2 off the sides. It gives me a chance to refresh her soil, reset her plank and give her a good hosing and pest treatment.
