(From Season 7, Episode 10 of Airline) In this clip a flight to France has a technical issue causing a long delay. Chaos ensures and the passengers go psycho. Thoughts? #AIRLINE
@@MJPercy Have to agree, my dads an oil and gas engineer and nasa frequently call him for help with technical problems regarding space shuttles..................the phones always going off...........
"I'm an engineer" Yes congrats lady, I'm sure that once you know the fault, you'll be able to fix it faster than any qualified aero engineers working at the airport.
GHOST6472 Absolutely, sometimes there’s a chain of events that the passengers can’t expect to understand. It’s frustrating but that’s the reality. But its key they keep the customer informed. The last time I travelled with Ryan Air two luggage belts stopped working. Not their fault, these things happen but there were no updates at all. The staff were not advised and so nothing was passed onto the passengers. But, as we were later to find out, the flight was still planned to go on time despite us not being able to check in our luggage. How does that work????? When the first one broke I was at the front of the queue about to hand my luggage in. We were then told to go to another desk to check in. That was the only time they updated us. At no point was there any acknowledgement that the passengers were being shunted around. I had a four month old, a three year old, a trolley full of luggage, a rucksack and was by myself. By the time I got to the new desk ( I couldn’t sprint like the other people without kids) I was at the end of the queue. This happened again pretty much straight after. But this time the other desk was at the far end of the airport. Eventually I got checked in but by then they were calling final boarding. I ran with the buggy and my toddler on my hip to the gate. I passed a disabled lady in a wheelchair who was being pushed by her elderly husband. There were lots of other people I passed as I ran to the gate. When I got to the gate I told the Ryan Air staff that they had to wait that we had all been delayed and that there was a disabled lady who was struggling. The young man just said ‘what’ so I repeated it again that they had to wait and that there was a disabled lady that was struggling. He just said ‘what do you want me to do about it’ and became irritated that I had said that there had been delays downstairs. I wasn’t cross, more on the brink of tears tbh (I may add that that’s not me but it had been a nightmare of a check in). I thought he was going to run down the tunnel to help them with their hand luggage but he didn’t he stood fast to the spot with his colleague. That was the last time I flew with Ryan Air.
Joanne Evans Thank you Joanne, thank you for your kind reply☺️. Ive thought about that trip a few times since then strangely and I remember getting to my destination (Portugal) and being in the taxi going to my parents. My husband called to see how things were going. I could feel my voice crack as I was talking to him. It had been so unforgivably stressful and (I can’t think of any other word other than) unfair. I’ve continued to travel alone all over the place with my children. I’ve enjoyed it ever since I was a teenager and want the children to enjoy traveling too. But that particular incident has stayed with me. I can remember the way the staff spoke to me as clear as day. It wasn’t only an issue of customer service tbh (although that was non existent), for me it was about their lack of kindness. I’ve never been able to understand why they chose not to help those people. Anyway.... take care. ☺️
Joanne Evans have you seen the man on the Ryanair flight from Barcelona to Stansted racially abusing that black woman? Ryanair have been called out for not helping the woman at the time. Same Ryanair staff attitude that I remember 😕. Feel so sorry for that poor woman.
People don’t understand that even the slightest issue with a plane can cause a crash. If these people don’t mind boarding a plane with a fault and crashing down, I wouldn’t mind either
@@Tony-vf9zu Because he doesn't work for/isn't contracted by easyJet? They're not just going to let some rando try to fix their plane because his wife says he's an engineer? For all they know he could fix boilers for a living.
Disgusting to watch the crowd gang up on the employees at the counter when they are just relying on the information they're told. Like Jane said, the employees want them to go as much as they do. They basically became a angry mob
Well these passengers at least are just complaining in a more respectful manner. Some are just straight up extreme karens, way worse than the passengers here.
it never ceases to amaze me just how childish adults are. If all those people would have just said,"ok, we understand that things go wrong" , the whole situation would have been solved quicker and they could have enjoyed themselves in the meantime. yet somehow theyve deduced its better to be idiots.
I miss this show. I remember when waiting for hours in an airport I use to occasionally watch the drama that kicks off with late passengers before going to the terminal. Its as entertaining as watching drunk people kick off outside a nightclub.
@@Jsambo Yeah that’s why I said a decent one, mines big and bulky but kept my phone and iPad going at night and all through the next day when a storm knocked out power here for all that time!
That was a brave move what Jane did - nicking an aircraft - result 😅👍!!!!! I'd have loved to have seen those passengers get irate at their aircraft being stolen. She must said an f word just after. I bet Jane was close to losing her temper!
"My husbands a engineer". Well, my cousin's a dog groomer. Maybe he can have a look at the engine. I'll tell him to bring his clippers and some duct tape.
I say let them fly on a faulty aircraft - well at least give them the option - see how many take the offer. These are highly technical machines and with every other component of getting a flight in the air - there is on occasion going to be delays and getting irate will NOT resolve the issue.
how can anyone talk to another human being like that “you don’t know what you’re doing” while he’s trying to make a phone call to find out what is going on 😅
When a plane breaks and they bring another plane hours late It doesn’t mean the crew from the previous plane will be the crew for the new plane. The crew are scheduled to be else where.
What don't these people understand about that the people that are sitting at the desk aren't piloting the planes, their not in air traffic control, their not gods and can't change time at a flick of a switch so why are they yelling at them!
I agree. While pilots usually takes credit, it's these check-in and service staff that takes all the sh*t when sh*t happens. Not even respect for them.
@@dallasyap3064 This series aired a long time ago. After watching it and the Australian version of the show, I made up my mind to never scream at or threaten them. It's despicable that they're forced to go through all that. And if you think air rage in the US is bad, you haven't seen jack. The Australian version of the show is a bit shocking. One irate passenger got arrested when he tried to grab a gate agent by the neck!
Her husband's an engineer - What's he going to do, drive on over with his toolkit? Airports are chaotic as most come out of their human-habitrails periodically and turn into "Wild Animals" during the departure arrival phase of their trips. There's also many who feel entitled to better service as it's usually one of the largest single expense in the year. A little THC introduced into the airport air, more seats, and a 50% drop in airport food would do wonders for airports around the globe. Most importantly everyone's sanity.
“My husband’s an engineer can you find out what the fault is?” Right so instead of trying to resolve the problem you want them to tell you what the fault is…which will accomplish absolutely nothing. 🤦♀️
I love how these passages think the gate agent is at fault, is making decisions and have authority over the flights. They kept telling them they didn’t know how to do their job and are incompetent. Get a grub grip people. And then they demand the agents give them all their money back in cash. Seriously???
These people are ridiculous. Would they rather get on an unsafe plane in order to get to their destination on time? On time means nothing if the plane crashes on its way!
i love the woman wanting them all to stop while they are trying to re-book to find out what the technical problem is because he husband is an engineer??? WTF
What ignorant, horrid disrespectful people, like the people on the ground have any say in the plane, I'd have told them all to go somewhere, incredible patience by the staff.
My husbands an engineer - Lmao. Ive heard some madness in my time but that is up there. These people are among us and we dont even realise it - The way theyre acting you would think theyd been stuck there 4 days not 4 hours. Ive taken longer baths than their delay.
If the engineers not happy, the pilots wont be happy , I am totally happy with whatever decision they make . A plane Coming down is not like falling of a bicycle.
. Quick ! call maintenance , help Is on the way , a passenger”s husband is an engineer!! ,maintenance personnel at Easy Jet have been praying for this unexpected saving grace .
You've got the EU to thank for you being entitled to a full refund if the flight is over 4 hours delayed btw. Worth mentioning because I imagine that most Brexiteers use airlines like Easyjet on their annual trip to Mallorca and Marbella. That if they even fancy going abroad and don't want to spend their holiday in Blackpool or Margate.
I just watched a documentary about 9 11. And this make me upset to know people are upset over an unknown delay...you never know its because 1000s of people lives were just killed.
"My husbands a engineer" Excellent, so Easyjet should let your husband have a look at the plane and declare it airworthy. Some people are dumb...............
People actually expect things to run smoothly just like they used to.😂. Well, people, those days are gone! Nothing goes as planned anymore. It’s really a nice surprise if plans come together as planned.
There is a fascinating study where people can actually wait quite patiently if they’re told it will be a long time, but if you tell them it will be soon every half an hour then they just get irate. It’s easy for us keyboard warriors to judge - having said that, I definitely would be mortified if I was filmed reacting like that!
I fly budget airlines almost exclusively here in the US and rarely have issues. The one time I had a flight outright cancelled was Delta, which is not a budget airline.
I'd still book Easyjet, but I'd book a flight 5 or so hours before I needed, take the chance of it getting cancelled and getting a refund without it impacting my holiday greatly :D
"my husbands an engineer" .....oh well then all the problems are solved!! maybe these rude travellers should back off and stop being so rude. things like this happen when you FLY...quit complaining s0 much!!
And a Gail platt in some aspects and the way she talks I feel like saying “Oh sorry do you now tell easyJet what to do and how to do their jobs.” She’s just proud there are television camera there to film I couldn’t imagine her family members nothing comes to mind .
From the beginning of this video... I immediately go into convulsions... free drinks for everyone, blunts... anyone that keeps arguing... gets to walk this way.... down this hallway... and out this door. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... splash. France is that way. Or-A-Voir...
I think these people have no understanding how the mechanism works on planes. Small problem with the plane will create a disaster. The desk attendants have no control on this, and why are they arguing with them. Some people are so ignorant to not understanding the issues.
