Ive personally not been able to get the chains parking brake to work properly even after adjusting the mid point of the chain and make sure both chains bring up both of the locking thingies on top of the cylinders. It does work on one side typically though so im curious to see how the hydraulic parking brake works opposed to the aa1as chains

I checked mine every year or so and in all my chained brake parking systems, never had a problem. Did not use it often, but still.

At about 6:17 you show a collection reservoir. How do you join the bleed behind the brake pedal to the collection system (or into a bucket for that matter)?

We use a 1/8 NPT threaded nipple (from NAPA) to go into the brake cylinder and then attach the clear tube that goes to the peanut butter plastic jar.

At 6:31 you can see the white plug in the other tube laying on the floor to the right of the jar.

Do you know the size of the thread if I were to remove the top of the cylinder eg 1/4 down to 1/8 or 3/8 down to 1/4?

is there a special brake fluid, is there an automotive equivalent?

Aircraft hydraulic fluid 5606.

DO not use automotive fluid. Aircraft spruce sells this: Hydraulic Fluid MIL-H-5606A
