Not that big of an apple fan but I understand why they don't include the charging brick and accessories in general, for the charging brick it just seems like a waste because what's the likelihood you'd need to charge them and your iPhone at the same time? Also they don't include accessories because they like things to "just work" and be a perfect experience out of the box, or atleast they try to.

you should have gotten the airpods max sure they may be really expensive but trust me i have owned mine for awhile now and its very worth it.

I have XM4’s and I recently (a few weeks ago) got a pair of Max’s and the Max’s are definitely nicer, sound a little better, and are a lot more comfortable, plus the passive mode is kind of insane… plus I hate the touch controls on the XM4’s. I ended up turning that off. The XM4’s have better noise canceling and are obviously cheaper but if you want to splurge a bit then you wouldn’t be going wrong with a set of AirPods Max.

Depends how you define affordable. The launch price of any Sony XM headphones isnt exactly cheap - £200 below Apple's is still expensive. And the XMs are made out of crack prone plastic, and replacements will come out of your own pocket because of how dire Sony support is. Even when XM2's were cracking en masse, Sony blamed it on the customer and looked the other way. And things havent improved with XM3. And then there is Sony's XM firmware updates which ruin the ANC. Customers are resorting to firmware update blocks to prevent their XMs becoming unusable. Personally I can't afford headphones if it'a not a long term investment.

I don't think a similarly-priced pair of audiophile over-ears has sweat resistance either. Nor do most over-ears to be honest. The sweat is largely going to be absorbed by the earcups, and the intent of the product is not for workouts. If I'm wrong, please enlighten me on the plethora of other over-ears that have proper sweat resistance, or even advertise their sweat resistance.

That's just how technology works, you give something a fancy name and people will buy it. "magsafe" is just a magnet, apple's "magic" keyboard isn't special at all, and these headphones aren't worth anything more than 350 dollars. And the replaceable part is overpriced as well, 69 dollars... the production cost is probably like 15 dollars if not less. I'm not hating on apple, but in the past year all i've been is disappointed with the stuff they release.
