What are the differences among Airstep vs Airstep lite vs Airstep Kat? Thanks. Can they be used on Android smartphone? HP Laptops? Boss Katana 50 MK2Ex & 100 MK2? Thanks
The Airstep KAT is specifically for the Katana amps, designed to be plug & play. Comes with its own firmware so that it works this way. I don’t know if it will work with the MK2E models, but my guess is that it will. Definitely works with MK2. Some people combine their GA-FC with the Airstep Kat for extra flexibility. It’s genius IMO. The Airstep & Airstep lite are more universal and work like a standard Bluetooth pedal for more products, & is programmable etc. I’ve not used one, but that’s my understanding. The lite is the more affordable, has less features version of the Airstep.
nice video, thanks. My unit doesn't want to pair via Bluetooth, it doesn't show up on the list from any of my devices: iMac, Macbook, iPhone or iPad....Any ideas? cheers!
Glad you got the phone connected! Are you using Google chrome? Because it only works with chrome, not Safari. Oh! And it will by default connect to your phone now, so you have to then connect your computer. If I’m on the right track, I do all this about half way in the video. Make sure you check it out. If I’m wrong, then I’m really not sure. Never hurts to ask the support team, they all seem very helpful.
@@DaveWebbMusic Indeed: Chrome. I managed to get it working with my iMac now. (although that is an Intel based Mac). I can now also connect to my Macbook (the app says 'connected') but nothing happens when I press buttons. So up to now it works with: iPhone, iPad, iMac (Intel) but not with Macbook (also Intel). When it works it's great! :)
Insisting on Eb tuning for lessons on SRV and Jimi Hendrix tunes for example is just stupid. It's literally meaningless. I have one guitar, one ukulele, next guitar I buy will be an acoustic. I'm not down-tuning a half step every time I'm going to learn, much less play an SRV tune--which is pretty much every day. This solves that problem. And like everyone else, I do a lot of scrolling by hand and such. The older generations, not that I'm young but at least I'm contemporary, think this is blasphemy, that Eb tuning is sacred. I'm pretty sure when Jimi Hendrix did it the older folks called that blasphemy too.
