Thank you for your wonderful work, I use it a lot. I built an interface with a button and it works great for me The problem is, you don't see the button when I'm working with my phone Do you know such a problem?
I haven't heard of this issue before - are you able to view the interface page on your mobile device (some interfaces are not supported for mobile)? If so, double check that there aren't three stacked dots - you may need to select this to make the button visible. Hope this helps!
Love your videos, they have beena a great help and inspiration..........#1 ---> How to create Airtable fields in bulk.... since importing a .csv does not do it
There’s a lot to like about the new interface design, but buttons is one thing that I’m not completely fond of because now we don’t really have any choice about where the buttons live. I keep thinking this is going to change again, I guess because it doesn’t really feel right to me. I really like the new dashboard layout in the way that you can drill into numbers, graphs and pivot tables. I’m finding so many uses for this. I can build a complete app out of the dashboard now.
I agree, the buttons are a bit tough to find and not as customizable as I want - however I really love the functionality and different things that buttons now make possible! With software updates, I try to remind myself to take the bad with the good... 🙂
I have a paid airtable plan but I do not have the update record option. My options are "Go to external url," "Open record creation form," and "Go to interface page". Is this feature for particular airtable plans or am I missing something?
Figured it out. Seems like this feature is for this particular type of interface. I can't see to get update and delete record buttons to work for a list interface.
Get the owner to build a form, paste the form URL as the destination of the "Go To Website". I have used this solution a lot. Saved me $'s as read only users can update a base
Buttons in forms? I think the idea is to minimize the options during a form - the main goal being the submission of the form data. What do you want a button to do?
@@GarethPronovost If you design a form from a data file and you add a button to it, how come you can't simply add a trigger to the button that is in the form? Maybe I am missing something...
@@gabriellehall955 ah! I think maybe you can try to trigger an automation from the submission of the form (new record). This will alleviate the need for the button?
