@@MarkHossNorthwestrcclub thanks for that. Was considering the airtec system. Do like the mountune carbon fibre intake but is so expensive at like £450. The Airtec seem to be pretty decent . Just need to decide between foam or cotton pleated cone.
Another great video thanks. I do have a few questions. How easy is it to swap the metal clips for the hot side and cold side pipes that push onto the intercooler and the metal clips that hold them on? Also same with the metal clip that holds the turbo outlet elbow? I believe there is a gasket o ring to swap from the original onto the new outlet pipe. All the pipe work etc is next on my list of upgrades.
Mate It’s so easy to change the clips, it’s obvious once you have them in your hand. It’s harder to get them off the OEM parts but they clip onto the Airtec ones easy. Same with the o-ring on the turbo elbow, just roll it out with your finger and it will drop right into place on the new part. The turbo elbow makes a good difference to the sound.
@@G5MAV I was going to ask how does it sound with the turbo outlet changed and the baffle removed. I noticed a big sound change when doing the cross over pipe. I think I’ll do the whole turbo outlet and hoses all at the same time. I nearly bought stock hoses so I could take the clips out of those and not mess with my original ones incase it went wrong.
By taking out the baffle makes a big difference. It should increase the sound more. The turbo whistle from mine is brilliant. In the next vid will be a sound clip right at the end. Be out in 10 days. Don’t worry about the clips, you can change them back to stock easily if you ever wanted to.
