Just received one (uk) I work as a heating engineer the van is very good and a joy to drive my previous van was a 65 reg basic transit custom the new van is fitted with air con, cruise control, speed control, lane departure & a optional 240 volt inverter to charge up my tools
Just bought this exact car. Came from a Mk7 ST MP215. Was nervous about it before but am very happy. Feels just as fast as my stage 1 Mk7 but that may be due to the improved sound. I really like the improved sound and don’t care it’s artificial pumped in because it sounds good. The new matrix LEDs are amazing, the way they move around the light on the fly at night is something I have never experienced. I like the new seats but I really liked the mk7 recaros - they held me better. But I don’t mind partly because I know the mk8 recaros weren’t as comfy. Didn’t want a digi dash but now I love it particularly with the performance gauges. Haven’t missed the folding mirrors. Mk8/8.5 mirrors are tiny anyway compared to wider mk7 mirrors. However I’m not looking forward to my sub zero winter starts with no heated mirrors, but let’s see. Talking of winter the heated seats are no longer as hot as the mk7s - they were ridiculously hot but I kind of miss that! In summary very very happy with going mk7 to mk8.5. Also pleased I will own the last ever Fiesta ST. Keeping this one forever 💚. Keep up the vids 👍.
Nice car, I like the color! I have a Mk7.5 also about to add on the stage 1 airtec intercooler. The procedure is quite the same. Good to see how you tackled it without editing stuff out.
Also, the top knob is supposed to be on the other side. Bracket points inwards, top points outwards. If the top is installed pointing inwards, it'll collide with some plastic when closed.
I recently installed the Collins Performance torque mount with mixed poly bushes (purple and yellow). Minimal increase an NVH, but the gear changes are so much better - really crisp and the wheel hop has gone. £s very well spent IMO. Easy installation as demonstrated by Gavin.
Hi all ,I've had my first Renault traffic about 7 months now, I previously had a Nissan primastar which was a great van,I've had my new van back to the garage twice with a problem,,the van is left hand drive and there is a noticeable pulling to the left, ihey tracked it and found no issues,, has anyone else had this problem, thanks
Hey Mine has been in and out of the garage multiple times with an alarm issue, the alarm would go off all the time for no reason. I think it’s sorted now but it’s taken over a year to get it done. No issue with the tracking though.
I've noticed with at one particular shell station in my ST-Line 1.0 Ecoboost (wish I could have an ST), that the V-Power is cheaper than others near but the fuel is awful. I get 10-15mpg less, a lot less power and it feels as if the engine misfires. But when I go to the other station(s) that's 10p/L more expensive it runs like a dream. Might be worth trying different stations, but probably best sticking to Tesco Momentum 99
Wear eye protection every time, I have a mate with a glass eye from when a grinder sent a metal shard through his eyeball. I have the same brake kit and it’s great for track use, I ran it with spacers for a while (with longer nuts so no need to cut the studs) spacers mess up the geometry though so now running different wheels with no spacers needed
