You and me both Tom! Ignore those 2 haters. Not everyone was lucky to grow up with parents that cared enough to enforce bedtimes. Or have 2 parents for that matter. Today's kids are in a sorry state. The internet gave them an anonymous voice equal to any wise adult's but with comments like theirs, their diapers are showing
@@lillyanneserrelio2187 exactly, too many teenagers online these days with nothing better to do than make nasty hurtful comments about popular videos people like especially if its favorite shows us genxers grew up with in the 80s....
I was like 6 or 7 years old back when I watched this show on tv. Here I am now at 43 and I still love Airwolf all these years later. I sat here through this entire video just smiling thinking back to better times. What I wouldn't give to go back!
38 and was enjoying myself; and I’d give up every radical leftist right now to go back when life great and the country wasn’t a wanna be communist shit-hole!
La maniobrabilidad y ese don de pocos de atrapar blancos en movimiento, solo para los mejores Adiestrados o francotiradores como una especial tauro 😉mini
Absolutely right. Had the honor of meeting Alex Cord ( Archangel) at a charity event for William Shatner years ago and he was very kind and gracious. And Airwolf starred at the MCAS EL Toro air show and it was off the hook!!! I am a Navy Honorably Discharged Combat Veteran serving as medical support for the Marines there. That was amazing!!!
I was 7 or 8 years old when Airwolf used to play on our national TV in Pakistan. Now I'm 43, but this music takes me back to 80's, those wonderful days when life was so easy and shows on TV were great.

Grew up on this show. Absolute classic. And the stunt pilots they had were insane. That's some ridiculously low flying. Was always cool to know that it was a real helicopter in these shots. Even as a kid I instinctively understood how good looking that helicopter was. Decades later, she's still the sexiest damn heli ever.
Still one of the best fictional aircraft ever, a Black Ops helicopter that was armed, armored, and flew like a fixed-wing fighter aircraft, and still had the manuverability of a rotary-wing. All under the skin of an ordinary looking Bell 222. The literal wolf in sheep's clothing. Combined with one of the best themes in television history and you had quite a setup for a great series.
@@mafiadvd8946 Yes and no. The Apache has had the same sort of attack systems as Airwolf for quite some time and can carry a whole lot more armament. But no helicopter on Earth can break the sound barrier - not even close. The theoretical top speed of any helicopter is about 260 mph (418 kph) because past that a large part of the forward blade will go supersonic, causing a huge loss of lift on the retreating blade. A VTOL aircraft can achieve supersonic speeds, but not a helicopter. (The Airwolf scriptwriters sort of handwave it by saying the rotor disengages and brakes during supersonic speed, but you still need SOMETHING generating the lift to keep it in the air). TL;DR: Airwolf breaks the laws of physics, so sadly it'll always be a Hollywood invention.
I'm 48 & just got a t-shirt with it on the front & Airwolf on the back. The badge is very cool! Everyone that see's it is like wait what is that? Sheep didn't have a chance against the wolf!
I cannot get enough of Airwolf I have the DVD I'll be watching it again and again and again I just love Airwolf nobody can replace Stringfellow Hawke or Dominic Santini no one can replace them to
Can't remember off the top of my head, but in the German overdubbed version of Wolf, Stringfellow was called something else. Hawke but not Stringfellow. Quite comical.
Aaah yes!! Now, this was back when TV was GREAT and this was by far one of my FAVORITE childhood shows. They couldn't have picked two better actors to play these roles other than Mr. Jan Micheal Vincent & Mr. Ernest Borgnine!! 😀👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Much LOVE and RESPECT to them both and RIP, Amen.🙏😌❤
Chris Davis I was lucky enough to see the Lady in person in 1985. They were filming an episode of Airwolf next to where I was working in Long Beach ,CA. When Airwwolf flew in it sadly did not scream like it did on tv, but in my head it sure did.
Airwolf was one of my most favorite show's I remember making sure I was home to see it every week. I remember a few times it got interrupted I was so pissed!
I've always thought the She-beast looked like a shark too. Yes, I called the lady a She-beast. 'Cause anything that pretty has got to be a girl, plus she got a set of bear teeth. She-beast.
There were 2 of these bell helicopters used, one flight worthy and one mock up, the flight worthy one after the show was sold to a company in Germany and used as a air ambulance until it crashed in a storm in 1992. The mock up was dismantled after the shows ended. Glad the helicopter continued saving people after the cameras stopped rolling. Shame it isn’t still around.
It gets better. The mockup was actually the first Bell 222 ever built (S.N. 47001), the prototype of the line. Bell gave it to them because it couldn't produce two helis quickly enough and Universal only needed one flying one. Since the prototype was in non-flying condition, it made sense for both parties: Universal got their mockup on schedule, and Bell didn't have to build a second 222 only for it to never fly. Airwolf itself was 47085 if memory serves.
Imagine being critically injured in Germany, and whilst being flown to the hospital the German Pilot puts the Airwolf theme over the intercoms and starts telling you how lucky you are to be saved by Zee Lady And then you crash in a fn storm
I have both the ringtone and badge insignia on my phone when it's not Xmas time. But its got to be the proper colour version and not some cartoon looking creation.
It was every saturday morning for me at about 11am. Would not miss it for the world. The joy I had as a kid back in the early 80s and Airwolf was a big part of it. Nothing today can compare to it. I'm now 51 years old :)
This is true they always took the Lady out to take care of business & they were always in Awe when they went to the cave sometimes they would just look at her because she was magnificent.
The flying skills of these Airwolf pilots were or are truly amazing Congratulations to them and fly safely and land safely thank you so much to the teams and the people who made the amazing series of Airwolf possible on television it was very enjoyable and was sorry to see the end of it thank you so much for sharing the beautiful video Airwolf 89 👍👍😀😀🌹🌹❤️❤️🚁🚁👍👍❤️❤️
I loved the show and have always dreamt of flying this beautiful chopper as a child. 2011 - I was 35 - I built and flew a big 1:7 RC version of the lady so my child's dream came true. Unfortunately, she crashed 2017. The dream died within the debris, but at least I was lucky to enjoy flying the airwolf more than 4 years. What a beautiful heli it was!
I’m sure there are kits out there to get you back into the dream. I saw them a long time ago, so you may be able to scoop one up. I know it isn’t the same as building it yourself, but at least you can fly a version of the LADY again.
Every few months my eye catches a airwolf start up and I have to play it 😂 My childhood comes back. Probably why I love anything that flys and always go low and fast in flight sims.👍
I was sadly disappointed to learn that a rotor craft could never reach those speeds. Damn flight training. Funny thing, there are now solid rotors approaching 400kts.
Lots of things are impossible. Until they aren't. I think that was what was a lot of the fun of the 1980s shows, like Airwolf and Knight Rider, it just pushed only slightly over the boundary of what was impossible.
@@takingbacktoxic7898 I'd argue, but no, tech's just caught up enough to compete. Except Airwolf. Helicopters have a theoretical max airspeed of Mach 0.5, or about 333 knots: far below that of Airwolf's stated speeds and slower than most airliners these days (which fly about 0.6-0.8Ma if memory serves). At least you can slap a Google Home and a WiFi hotspot in a Trans Am and pretend it's KITT, though!
Great TV from a time when Hollywood was fuelled by cocaine and great ideas ...... Loved this show when I was growing up . Cant hear the theme tune , the growl when they turned the wick up for combat without grinning like an idiot . The enigmatic (to a 12yr old) Archangel was cool . Hawke and Santini had great chemistry and the star of the show Airwolf is an awesome bit of kit .... Nuff said
I'm 44 watching this with goosebumps and tears in my eyes - loved Airwolf when I was younger and have now ordered the dvd - can't wait for it to arrive! After travelling back in time with retro gaming from the 80's and 90's it's now time to relive some of the best tv series from the 80's
Yeah this shows gives me goosebumps too it’s the theme tune for me and the fight scenes! It’s great 😌 I got all the series 1-3 didn’t buy the reboot with the new cast it doesn’t compare fake you enjoyed thanks for watching 👌🏼🙌🏼
I always loved when the machine gun turrents came out of the wing tips. And when the rocket launcher bay doors opened. Then neon orange computer generated rockets are launched out. Then sound of the high speed boost rockets fired sending airwolf mach+ speeds from a hovering in place starting point. Best episode I remember was Airwolf org. VS Airwolf 2.0 (Redwolf) with red outer color and bad ass red laser beam on the front.
I watched the series since I was like 6 now I'm in my 40s still gives me chills. Was also the reason why I love planes and chopper combat games. Comanche, apache, all ace combats
Blue Thunder couldnt hold Santini airs jock strap. Funny they have airframes now look wilder than the wolf. This could be remade with a stock Dolphin and look pretty close...Long live Stringfellow and Dom-!
Airwolf Mcgyver, oh my memories r killing me, oh how it's a pity we have to grow sick, old and die, hope well all meet in heaven with our stars when our Lord returns my heart and my eyes r filled, love u guys
Loved the stunts and the helicopter itself was impressive. But I also really loved the repartee between String and Archangel. The intellectual and philosophical conflicts between the two really led to some great drama.
Airwolf was probably the first time in television and movie history that they gave actual insight as to how a helicopter is controlled. Most films and television shows before hand only showed the actors using the yaw stick, no throttle or foot controls.
Still absolutely love this helicopter. Kinda want my own but they're really expensive. What a great show Air Wolf was. It's so sad about what happened to Jan-Michael Vincent, he really was a good actor.
RIP Airwolf, Hawke and Dom, you made my child hood. This video has the exhaust turn yellow when the turbo is selected. That was stupid to try and change the original version. The upper cowling is exhaust and the lower was always the turbo.
Can't remember when.... Airwolf was on british tv in the 80s .... Think it was a saturday night i think! .... Thing is though ...that helicopter back in the day was so futuristic!! 😉 Yet nowadays 2021/2022 u see um everyday. 🤣
I always loved this show and this fantasy helicopter 🚁 that almost does it all. I know now even 35 years later even the fastest helicopter 🚁 in the world does just over 1/2 the speed of Mach 1 and cannot go over 25,000 in altitude has never been a deal breaker for me or changed anything on how much I use to love Airwolf. Of course, when I was a kid I didn’t know any of these limitations, but that’s okay with me. Playing with a drone or playing Farcry 6 and flying the in-game helicopter in tight slots on roads and tight crevices toning my skills for my little drone is an absolute blast 💥. When I do it I have the Airwolf music playing in my head.
