At age 54, I still love to see Airwolf whip some ass. This kind of stuff literally compelled me to be a helicopter pilot. RIP, Earnest, Jean Michael, and Alex.
Airwolf, Night Rider, Blue Thunder, A-Team, and MacGyver in the evenings. Thunder cats, transformers, Voltron, silver hawks, and GIjoe in the mornings. It was so awesome being an 80s kid!

It's just so hard to believe this show started 40 YEARS AGO! I remember watching the original airing of the pilot episode on CBS in Jan. '84. Recorded it on beta!
If Airwolf was an actual aircraft in the U.S. Military back in the '80s, I wonder if the Raptor and the F - 35's would be retired today as obsolete technology. Imagine. Our Jets having laser systems instead of machine guns and missiles for offensive and defensive usage. Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, etc. would be constantly wondering what is coming next in terms of military hardware for active military usage against them. Hell Yeah!!!!
@@spock592001I was eleven . Hard to watch it as in a retired vet who was trained in air defense. The apache isn't a chump and can take some big rounds but wouldn't stand a chance against a fish bed . Granted it isn't a gyro chopper

Any remake would be poor . The original 3 seasons was perfectly cast .The 4th season with a different cast was rightly cancelled because it was basically imposters trying to milk off it's earlier success. !
Er...no. The 4th Season was NOT “cancelled”. The show was cancelled after the THIRD season (with the 4th purely a one-off made ‘internally’ by the studio). The same studio that made the so-called “original” seasons.

Everyone knew that the last season would be dreadful but by then it was a business decision made to recoup their losses. It’s also why the Bell 222 was sold off-the studio needed money.
Never realized it until recently but Airwolf will never die. I see people posting and reposting Airwolf material, seeing video games, flight simulators, one with the VR, there’s even talks about a reboot!!! Airwolf will forever live
It’s not allowed due to toxic masculinity. If there was a new Airwolf it would have to be a gay, female or an ambiguous minority pilot according to current industry standards.
I think if Airwolf had been a design where the rotor was in the center and not exposed it could have been more realistic. Just not able to pull it off for the time

@@brianmaki4168 Yeah but when I was growing up watching it I didn't mind the BS factor along with the mach 1+ bit🤣 Still to this day appreciate the flying sequences tho, they were some well flown stunts.
The depiction of how Hawke and the Lady are so in tune is very well done. But some things in the show are just silly, like the glowing missiles. Just looks so funny!
The glowing missiles (optical effects) was basically the only way they could be done at the time that gave them freedom, otherwise they would be stuck using missile mock-ups strapped to cameraships which would mean even more reused footage.
@@haroldlipschitz9301 But then again you get the recycled shot scenario, it would be obvious its the same footage. And by season 3 there was too much of that going on already.
The only accident on the show cost the life of a stuntman when a huey clipped the top of a hill. The fact was ratings were getting low, and the show was expensive to produce. It went from being a cold war series to being similar to the a team in a lot of ways.
@@gerv55 they sure reused a lot of footage and sound clips. That moment when you realize that when the enemy fighters blow up they sound exactly like the Cylon's in battlestar glactica blowing up... (boom)

i do hope they will make remake of airwolf.. we saw the remake of legendary series like mcgyver, hawaii five 0, knight rider and I hope airwolf also get the chance of remake.. but truthly is, the original airwolf series really are the masterpiece for me.. the theme, the cast, the opening song and not forget the airwolf itself absolutely masterpiece.
Ugh. No thank you. No more stupid remakes please where storylines are secondary to lame characters who are constantly trying to outwit each other with inappropriate humor, all while telling everything there is to know about their relationships and sex lives. I'll pass.
Dom has to have 100 % confidence in String as the pilot, with incoming missles etc, hit the helicopter they all go down ,with that passenger. He'll be a 🙏praying to God for sure.
I loved airwolf, still do the music and aircraft noise gets me everytime, Its a shame I grew up and understood a little more about helicopters and flying in general as well as military stuff lol :)

Thanks, took a few weeks to put together. There is an air wolf 2 re-edit on here I done some years ago, might look into remaking it as the resolution was never great.
Is it just me, or did it always look like Hawk's helmet was always on crooked🤔🤣 It looked fine when the visor was down, but when he had it up, with his face showing, it just didnt line up right. And the dude who flew Red Wolf, his helmet looked too small for his giant head🤣 But yeah, I agree with other commentors, they just dont make shows this COOL anymore😔 Airwolf, Night Rider, A Team, and Highwayman should all be rebooted!!
The helmets were awkward to wear, they initially had very little padding and would slide around a lot. The helmet you can see in this that hawke is wearing had a load of grey padding added to make it sit steady, but was still a bit off kilter 😄
