I almost glued to tv when this programme was aired.I can say programme was far ahead from his time. I still remember the freshness of presentation.Although I neverwritten letter at that time. Now i take oppertunity to thank all team member for a wonderful programme.

Yes, this serial was a favourite of a whole generation...I keep getting messages like yours. That was a different time....India has lost a lot in these past years...we have become more materialistic and e have lost humanism. I loved this programme when I was just 7-8 year old, especially the host. I still do the card magic explained by the host decades back and taught it to my daughter. It is taking all thirteen cards from Ace to King, and then make a story. 784 mein 1 rani thi 64 years ki, jiske 2 bete the, jack and king, jack tha 10 saal ka aur King tha 9 saal ja, unhone 5 saal raaj kiya. Now take the top card to bottom as per alphabet , like O-N-E (three cards go to bottom of deck and then you show fourth card, it is ACE, then T-W-O and fourth card is 2 , keep on saying the letters of number and putting them at bottom of deck.it is an amazing trick. This video reverts us back to the year 1988 when we used to watch this serial over Doordarshan and revives old golden memories. All episodes were nice. Anchor managed all shows with excellence. I remembered those days as a kid when I used to watch this series. I guess it used to be Sunday’s. I remember once an episode was shown in which a person could burn coins by viewing it intensely for a long time. Was there any such episode or just something else. Would like to know if I could see that again.

Dear Wilson Samuel, My pleasure dear. I am glad that you are living your childhood days once again..it is fun..some memories do not fade for life....they get imprinted somewhere in the mind. I really don't remember now...if it was in 1988 or 87...but it was telecast in March and April. We have uploaded only few episodes...we still have tapes of more episodes...we could upload all but it costs money and I don't have enough to do that task. Find some people who can fund the digitisation.

Shows like Surabhi, Bramhand / The Universe, The Discovery of India, Aisa Bhi Hota Hai, Turning Point with Girish Kannad should be made available on Demand on new platforms like Netflix, Amazon. Add subtitles for accessibility. Currently there is not even have a purchase a good quality DVD etc for these shows.
Dear Marwah Iincorporated, Thank you for your comment on our programme Aisa Bhi Hota Hai. You are right, all those programmes "should be made available on demand on new platforms"...however, there are some small problems. Firstly, all these programmes were produced by different producers...so each one of us should be doing it on our own...secondly, the technology has drastically changed from analogue to digital....so, all the episodes have to be digitised from tapes...that would cost a lot of money. To my mind, the exercise won't be commercially viable. We had thirteen episodes and at that time we could upload only three episodes due to busy schedules. Now we can't afford to do it unless we are supported. We are ready to do it if some of you can find us little funding... Warmly Pramod Mathur

Dear Vaseemym, Good question. Over the past two or three decades the profession of Television programming has been taken over by the corporate world that is managing the media houses. Corporate world only wants to make money and not spend on production of good programmes. They do not want to block their money for long periods....new programming is done in studios within a short time and can be telecast instantly. The advertising that is riding on the back of current programmes... provide instant returns to business houses. Our programme required long period of research, travel and post-production work and was comparatively a bit expensive in terms of time. Doordarshan has lost out because they began competing with the commercial world...failed in providing good programmes...at the same time they failed to even compete with commercial channels.

Respected Ashok Ji I wanted to avoid it at this channel of a nice DD Programme but couldn't resist from expressing my views over your sarcastic comment for RSS. First of all I would like to make it clear I am not a RSS or BJP supporter but would like to highlight certain facts for clearing your misgivings regarding RSS and its ideologies. There have been several instances where RSS had rendered its services for the cause of humanity raising above caste and religion. 1.Looking to the dedication and appreciable service rendered by RSS organization Erstwhile PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had allowed RSS volunteers to be part of Republic Day Parade at Rajpath, New Delhi after 1962 Indo-China War while Nehru Ji himself was a great champion for Secularism in the country. 2. In earlier 90s after an aircrash involving Gulf bound Flight at Charkhi Dadri in Haryana, RSS volunteers tirelessly assisted in rescue operation for the passengers mostly Muslims which earned the Saffron organization lot of praise from various quarters. Even Shri C.M.Ibrahim, Civil Aviation Minister in the then Devegowda Government had appreciated such gesture on the part of RSS. 3. For years RSS has been organizing RAKHEE festival in Jaipur with involvement of both Hindu and Muslim communities in the event. Beside there have been several instances when RSS volunteers had dedicatedly been part of the rescue operations be it for natural calamities or for other occasions. The facts are not fake you can verify them from any source you consider genuine and reliable. Sir Is it an offence or communal to follow the principles of Nationality, Patriotism and promote Indian Culture and heritage rather than being involved in Violant and anti National activities. I am helplesss if you consider such things 'Bhagwakaran' You may differ from their ideologies but can't express in such a manner for this organization. Please think it over before expressing your views in prejudiced way regarding their activities. 👃👃👃👃
