Hi, It's really useful information. What torque recommendations would you recommend for paper gasket water pumps? Does paper gasket compromise its durability if it comes into contact with water/coolant during installation?
GMB Water Pump PDF says: "Apply liquid sealant lightly and evenly on both sides of new gasket. Do not apply sealant for O ring or metal gasket." I am confused. Who is right?

Hi Aaron. For the WPT-800 we include a card showing the only location that sealant is required for the installation. Sealant cannot be used with the Gaskets included in this Water Pump.
Hello Aaron. Coating we mention in the video is mostly for the Rubber type Gaskets/Seals. If the Seal is being inserted into a tube or other it protects the Seal from damage and allows easier installation. Greases and other chemicals can compromise the Seals ability to seal correctly.
Hello King Freedom. Thank you for your comment. If you are 100% sure the gasket is the cause of the problem, it should be okay to just replace the gasket. However, we recommend you to replace water pump along with the gasket.
