Whenever I see stuff like this it makes so happy. Yes, it makes me feel so old too, but it is nice to see stuff from my generation having a resurgence with today's youth. The 80s and the 90s was a turbulent yet magical time. If I had a time machine I would so go back.
I had the exact same model when I was a kid in the 90's the nostalgia is amazing. I think I'm gonna go try and buy one somewhere for my man cave just for the hell of it.
I have the same model since 1998. And I am still using it everyday. Only the AUX and the Radio are still working, but that's exactly what I need at home.
hi. plz i wanna ask you if the surround outputs work when you put speakers in them and you can hear the speakers working coz i have this exact aiwa model but the surrounds outputs dont work i dont know why
Holy shi!t!!!!!! I had this when I was a kid. Lmfao. My mom used to be livid when she'd come home from work on Saturday and I had this thing maxed out.
I also had an Aiwa midi compo back in the mid 90s. I fell in love with it the first time I saw and heard it in the store where I bought it. I loved everything in it, the bass, the treble, the lights, the candy buttons, the 3 CD changer and the way the CD spun inside as I peeped into its transparent top section. Sadly, it only lasted short of ten years. I'm starting to miss it as I watched this video. Actually I'm quite impress that this unit is still fully functional until now. Nice content.
same here, i was addictive to these..sound quality, looks, colorful- equalizer displays, cd changer i did not have money, used to go to store to check and demo test, i remember all the new models came and gone, i could nt purchase even the one :( but luckily i bought some from used market, sound is still the same so happy :D
I have a 5.1 system in my room and a packard bell rpc-39 stereo console from 1965 and now I kinda want one of these as I used to think they were cool as a kid but most of the ones I used to see got thrown out as soon as the cd player broke
A bit like the hifi I had growing up about 15 my hifi was a Panasonic SA-AK48 but now I use much higher quality amps. I bought a big harman kardon hk980 for just £40 yesterday and resold my other cambridge audio a1 mk3 for the same price but the HK is a much bigger amp. great video.
Had a nice Aiwa very similar for college. Served as my CD-player and computer speakers for all 4 years and beyond until I graduated to a 5.1 computer set for home and MP3s really took over everything.
For a confusing seconds, I thought your component stereo has an optical input. The Aiwa owned by a relative still works 21 plus years later. Not bad for something that was advertised at $300 full retail cost.
Love your videos. Keep it up. I have a old Sony stereo system which I plan to make a video of sometime in the future. On your stereo system does the radio have MW and LW bands ?
Hey, Aimad, get a 2 male RCA to 3.5mm audio cable, plug the RCA cable at the back of the stereo in Video audio in ports and 3.5mm in your phone or l;aptop.. watch this video, this should give you an idea... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K2Bfe-zqdks.html
I miss when Sears, Target, Best Buy, etc had whole shelves of these on display. Nothing like the sound quality of such speakers as well as the most badass Vacuum Fluorescent displays. Boring portable music players and bluetooth speakers today just don't compare
I bought my first AIWA system with the money I saved washing dishes at 15 in 1986. I've had many AIWA products since. They are quite simply the Lexus of electronics
Thanks for playing good music through your system.i wish this bad patch in audio electronics (chynese ics and passive components)ends soon and we get back such 1990s sound systems with high quality ics(philips, wolfson, toshiba, matsushita, sanyo,st microelectronics,jrc-njm,texas instruments) and passive components(elna, nippon chemicon, philips mkt, carbon film resistor from panasonic and philips, lelon, rubycon).
Sadly, what you said is true, nowadays its all about cost cutting, stereos, home theaters and Bluetooth speakers are manufactured using cheap Chinese parts. If you want decent quality stuff then, Bose is the way to go, they are still using Nichicon caps, but they also cost 2-3x more.
A big lmao if you think your 90s Japanese gear are gonna remotely compete objectively with the current crop of cheap Chinese Aiyima/Fosi amps and SMSL/Topping DACs.
@@nomoredamnnamestouse the amps/dacs that you mentioned have non-chynese ICs,that is the reason they sound good, that is what i have written in my above comment.I am against crappy chynese ICs, not against assembling in chyna.
Mine it's not working properly and I'm running those two speaker using an amplifier 😭😭. Aiwa parts are not available. Is there anyways u can help me to repair that?
Well, if you can try looking for a used system compatible with those speakers, there are plenty of them on online marketplaces. Or get yours repaired from a local shop! They will fix it.
Yeah those were definitely manufactured in Japan back in the day, just like the internal components. I had a similar one to this but a little nicer and came with 5 speakers with more traditional all black square speakers. I still have the bookshelf front speakers hooked to my computer today with a dedicated amp and they're perfect for a small room / desk when complimented with a dedicated subwoofer
Hi aditya, i do have this system in working condition and i liked your idea of connecting with bluetooth. Could you please share the bluethooth device link i would like to connect with my mi tv. Thank you in advance.
@@vallurikrishna3056 vese u don't need of bluetooth device if u want to connect with tv u can buy aux cable where channels cable are seperated from both side and connected to setup box or if u have smart tv in which u can watch netflix and other stuff simply buy HDMI to two channels converter u can experience actual sound in movies like theatre experience. I only connect bluetooth for listing songs only so for this Bluetooth is ok now for mine bluetooth setup i built it manually in a box which is connected to my system for acurate sound quility which support usb, aux, sd card reader radio etc and u purpose is only for bluetooth u can find many device which has aux output which connect in music system but if u want like mine then dm me i give u a link of parts which i buy to make bluetooth device
@@aseventandplanner thanks for the the quick reply i couldn't find DM option. Could you please share links to but both HDMI and bluetooth device as you recommended. HDMI looks perfect for me since no loss quality of sound is advantage.
I had that junk system and it sounded crappie back in the day, I think it was the era of sony buying off aiwa and landing an aiwa badge on any sony junk when sony destroyed aiwa to get it out of their way. 😂 no tweeters or big woofers. The cd changer would fail in a couple of months.
There are times when I felt like selling this because of its size, but glad I've kept it because these days its hard to find a stereo which sounds good, you have to spend a lot of money for good sound.
@@TechGuyCharlie yes man jvc are pretty good, but im struggling to find a jvc mx-gt90 this time, btw im happy with my 2 months old jvc mx-g950v....I hope you can find one man : D
@@everythinggamer4615 omg. I’m from Pinas and I live in California. Can you help me find one in Pinas also??? I like the version there because it has the karaoke function. US version didn’t have it. I’ll pay you.

Hum no suena como el mio yo le pongo volumen y me retumba los intestinos no sabes lo hermoso que es y ese no le funcionan el rok el pop y clasicni el tbass nadie los arregla como el mio no sabrn
I got this stereo semi fixed, for my system, both the CD player and cassette decks needed new belts but the repair shop could not fix the cassette deck because one of the geared pully had broken teeth and he could not find a replacement. CD player works fine though.
You will need to take it to a electronics repair shop, not something you can fix at home bro. mhc rv 6 is a great stereo, if you can get it to work its gonna sound nice!
@@TechGuyCharlie thank you bro. I am confused that they provided surrounds for this rv 6 model and its RATED AT 24 ohms. While the main LR speakers are rated at 6 ohms which is normal. What is ur opinion on this?
We have this home theatre still using but it's cd and cassette player not in working condition. But still we use them with external dvd player because it's sound quality is awesome. I am afraid this is not in the market now, otherwise I would go for it again. I want to ask everyone, how would I use this with new gadgets? If anyone know please comment below
I had an AIWA model that had a built in CD burner where you could take either a CD or a CASSETTE TAPE and burn the music onto a blank CD!! Does anyone remember the model? Been looking for that exact model for YEARS

Hi bro can u help me connecting aiwa cx nma 845 to smart tv please help i bought DAC digital to analog converter n connected optical to dac n then rca to video /aux of my stereo system thru dac...but it didnt work
Hi, I have aiwa nsxk k550, tried to use computer audio as you mentioned (by plugging it to rca ports) and I can see is lots of details are missing for the sound (low quality). I tried with tab and phone as input devices and both had the same issue. Also I tried with video/aux and MD options and both gave the same result for me. Is this normal? Do these systems not designed to input high quality sound? Or something wrong here? Note: I have used normal 3 wire rca cable used for video with RCA to 3.5mm jack
Crazy how decades later the biggest difference is no main unit. Just a mobile phone and Bluetooth speakers. Sound quality to me is still the same. Play a remastered cd in that and it will sound awesome
