AJ Jadran was born in Afghanistan where he grew up seeing people killed from an early age.
He didn’t understand the impact this would have on his mental health years later.
After retiring from being in the national team of Australia for Taekwondo, he got ‘bored’ and started to dabble into party life, which eventually took him to the other side of the tracks, leading him to doing 8 years in prison with 4 years on parole.
AJ is part of the Hells Angels Motorcycle club, but is currently not an active member due to his parole.
After 8 years in prison, he has changed his life around, and is currently employed by DAMEC (Drug and Alcohol Multicultural Education Centre). He has learnt from his mistakes, and is an advocate for mental health. He believes that fitness is one of the key aspects to keeping mentally healthy.
