AJ is one of the most resented fighters in the modern day era of the sport. The haters refuse to give him his flowers despite him being one of the most devastating punchers in the heavyweight division. Notice how quiet AJ has been in the build up to this fight. He’s got something for Dubois come fight night, watch and see.
I agree with all of what you’ve said there. You’re bang on. You can hear it in the way he’s talking too. I think he’s got the love of the sport back and the bit between his teeth. I think he’ll win in spectacular fashion but people will still say he was gun shy and scared, rather than patient and smart
@@Thomas_Gamble: They’ll always find an excuse to downplay his performances. Remember when peoples were hyping up Ngannou to beat him? When AJ dealt with his case, it was ‘ah it was only against an MMA fighter’, totally forgettable that Ngannou nearly knocked out Tyson Fury. Straight haters!
It’s a clash of heads, but it’s definitely gamesmanship. The amount he does it, with the way he goes in with his head after throwing the overhand, it’s definitely purposeful. Not illegal, but gamesmanship for sure
Miller was slow and unfit Hrgovic was overconfident and fought the wrong fight. Usyk schooled him as you said. Joyce as slow as he is out jabbed Dubois. Dubois has a good engine but that wont be enough against AJ. AJ win by knockout or stoppage.
@@Thomas_Gamble Its very difficult to say with these heavyweights. If AJ lands a clean shot it could be over early. If Dubois improves his defence it may take AJ longer. AJ is also much more patient and clever defensively these days . He doesn't rush things, even in the Ngannou fight after he knocked him down he waited patiently for openings. If I had to I would go for 7or 8 round stoppage by AJ .
I’m in the same camp as you, round 6-8 for me but more likely that 7 stage. I think you make a very good point about him being patient and clever too. Everyone says he’s ’gun shy’ and I don’t think he is, I just think he’s patient with his work. He’s aware he’s a very high level boxer and he doesn’t need to get you out of there. There’s very few heavyweights who have the skills to beat him on a decision, and I think he knows that so he doesn’t force anything and it comes when it comes. People call it gun shy, but I agree with you - patient
There goes a honest person ! Every time AJ is facing someone they say it’s dangerous when he stops them they say he fought nobody . And exact comparison with Ngannou and what’s now said about Dubois . Reminds me of mayweather. It was the same song always
I think you’re spot on. I think it’ll be the same this time, when AJ wins it’ll be people saying how his defence is poor and he doesn’t move his head. It’s crazy to me!
@@okasefa563 exactly..... This Dani€L you all are saying is better than before and has got more grit with Don Charles, you all forget that Anthony Joshua has been in more dog fights and came out victorious. Let me ask this critical question. Do you think DDD can do better than Dillian Whyte (that was a grudge 2 bouts) AJ knocked Whyte's spark out. Against Povetkin, that was some rag dolling of a fight. He fucked Povetkin up. DDD is not currently on the level Klitschko was when he fought a young rather less experienced AJ. Yet AJ fucked the veteran UP. U guys are gonna witness outclassing and battering from Anthony Joshua to Daniel Dubious. It's gonna be epic. You all will respecT AJ afterwards, even little boy Daniel
@@shaneellison3562 yes Boss.... I won't be biased because I am Nigerian and an AJ fan. Daniel isn't at AJs levels if AJ wants to put on a massive destruction.
Sensible video. It's almost like people who don't like AJ are under a spell. They just don't give him any credit. Dubois beat Hrgovich that hasn't proven anything and Miller that hasn't done much neither. Walling made Fury look Ordinary and almost won. Ngannou knocked fury down and deserved atleast a draw in their fight. AJ beat them both under 8 rounds. But they still rate Dubois who quiet 3 fights ago over AJ. Some really sick people in this boxing world
You’re absolutely bang on there. It’s a shame. I think the narrative around AJ is crazy and I think Dubois has been the best promoted fighter of this generation. It absolutely blows my mind. I think it comes from the top down, some of the ‘top pundits’ either don’t know what they’re talking about are too scared to say what they think to protect their relationship with the fighters and trainers, then the fans hear them say that and repeat it
In terms of protecting reputation and keeping relationships, you would think AJ is the biggest star in UK boxing and arguably the most well-known current boxer around the world. I think it's just fashionable to hate on AJ in the boxing world. I really hope he beats Dubois, and then the usual pundits will come out and say, "It was too early for Dubois," and that AJ beat a Novice. Lol. It's a shame. Someone who has and still is representing boxing very well.
AJ is better at everything DDD is good at.i wouldn't be surprised if AJ stops him in the first round. I believe this will be the mix of Francis and Otto ,the first real touch from AJ and DDD is gonna back away just like otto did but if he comes forward he'd get ko just like Francis.great break down brother
I believe that is entirely possible. I have Joshua stopping Dubois inside three rounds. I really like Dubois, and was so happy to see him beat Miller and Hrgovic, but Dubois is too easy to hit and Joshua can seriously bang.
Did Dubious win any round against Usyk? You have to be kind to him to give him any round. Hrgovic was pathetic. Was beating DDD hands down then suddenly DDD starts the rough stuff and the wimp fell apart.
Dubois is way better offensively than ngannou, BUT has the exact same weaknesses as ngannou 🥱 He's the same height 6ft4, not as tanky as ngannou, hes about 40 pounds lighter. He has a very wide guard with wide elbows, he stands fairly square on, DDD habitilually puts his left arm out to slow the momentum of the right hand, and so consistently gets hit by big right hands from tall long fighters. Hrgovic was not setting things up, he barely used his jab in that way, he was throwing right hands from his hip and landing at will. More than 30 times in 2 rounds. Joshua is much faster, sharper and more powerful than hrgovic and will set the shots up and make dubois walk into them. Ddd is too heavily muscled to move his head, because his back/neck are so stiff, and hes coming in over confident and thinks joshua wont be able to take his power. He'll fight aggressively behind the jab overconfident and get flattened by a right hand or uppercut within a couple rounds. Ngannou is underrated, probably about top 15. That win over ngannou will age well if ngannou comes back to boxing.
I think you’re pretty spot on. The breakdown of DDD is absolutely bang on and I think you’re right, AJ will clip him with an uppercut/back hand and it’ll wipe Dubois out! 1 week to go!
Miller is only known cuz he failed a drug test against aj then got banned returned and tested positive again hes fought nobody his last fight was against a 1 handed ruiz and still got a draw 🤦♂️🤣 hrgovic, well just look at his resume full of whos who 🤣 and people think dubois been fighting better opponents 🤦♂️🤣 dubois himself has recently said that he has more experience than aj 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the guy that hasn't won a belt in the ring has more experience than a 2x unified champion 🤦♂️🙄🤣
Perfectly said. It’s because ‘top pundits’ either don’t know what they’re talking about or are too scared to say what they think because they don’t want to damage their relationship with the fighters or trainers. That then feeds down and the fans hear them say it so they say it too. But you’re spot on it’s absolute nonsense!
@@MrGreenelight he wasn't picked miller was Mando for the ibf or the wba I can't remember which one, he was a nobody which gained fame by failing a drugs test to fight aj 🤦♂️🤣 a few might have known miller in America but I doubt it people in America didn't even know who wilder was when he was the champ 🤣🤣🤣
Nice analysis Thomas it’s unbelievable how most people re picking Dubois to beat Aj. Can’t wait to hear the excuse they gonna give after Dubois has been knocked out in round number 7
One thing few people noticed with the Franklin fight, AJ went into the ring with blood all over his shirt, which clearly turned out that he had broken/ badly injured his nose prior to the fight.
Dubois is at his ceiling and Joshua is far better at all aspects of the sport. Wallin vs Miller and Hergy = 50/50. I would give Wallin a solid chance vs Dubois. Joshua is going to counter right Triple Knee into another dimension. Subbed youre talking pure sense.
Yeah I think that’s a very good way of looking at it. Dubois has tough “coming of age” fights against people that AJ walks through. Thank you for the sub I appreciate the support so much!
Don't disagree that Joshua is a firm favourite to beat Dubois but I cannot see the likes of Wallin getting anywhere Dubois.Dubois has earned the right to be considered a top 5/6 fighter but Wallin is nowhere near that level.
Dubois is a top 5 fighter I agree, and he beats Wallin for sure, I don’t think he’s the same level as him, but I think Hrgovic is a similar level to Wallin is my point (at least at the time of their respective fights). And people are playing up the Hrgovic win but playing down the Wallin win
@@Thomas_Gamble Yeah, that sounds about right to me, Hergovic was way overrated, he got lucky against Zhang and has not fought better since that. I thought Dubois had a good chance of beating him. I dont think Dubois has anything more than a punchers chance against Joshua. If he had an effective defence I wouldnt be so sure, but he's made for that counter right. If it goes more than 4 rounds I'll be shocked.
Yeah I agree. Nothing but a punchers chance, and whilst that punchers chance is pretty big because of his power and good ability, I don’t think it’s enough at all
nice concise video mate, and i 100% agree with everything you said, especially regarding Hrgovic, ive never understood the hype about him, he throws that same one-two over and over, very limited heavyweight.
Thank you I appreciate that! Exactly that. I think Otto Wallin was on a similar level when AJ beat him to what Hrgovic was when Dubois beat him. Of course they’re very different fighters, but at the time of their fights I think they were both in and around the bottom of the top 10 heavyweights. But for some reason everyone dresses up the Hrgovic win and dresses down the Otto Wallin win
Finally someone who addresses the Miller fight the right way. Dubois did not look good in this fight. As you say, he fought a fat Miller using the wrong strategy, which led him to fight a way to physical fight. Not impressive at all but everybody says it was a great performance.
Yeah I don’t understand why it’s played up so highly. Same for the Hrgovic fight. He got clipped over and over by the same punch and couldn’t adapt his game plan again. Eventually he did work down Hrgovic and beat him but Hrgovic is no AJ!
Wow I didn’t realise it was that many! That’s insane but proves my point exactly. But now Ngannou was an easy choice all of a sudden I meant actual boxing pundits though
When AJ lost to Ruiz i never doubted he would come back stronger , i always had confidence in his ability , and now he has more strings to his bow , especially taking skills from the trainer's he has been with, and eventually finding a trainer in Davidson who has done wonder's with him getting to believe in himself and making the most of his attributes.
Ruiz nearly killed aj in the first fight and ran for 12 rounds in the rematch.he well overrated. Also 40 y o wlad dropped him and buzzed him several times. A j good but not as good as casuals think he is
He didn’t run away he outboxed him. Did Mayweather run away as well? A very young AJ went through hell against an old WK, I’ll give you that, but AJ was very young and has changed his style a fair bit since. I don’t think AJ is underrated, I think he actually doesn’t get the credit he deserves
Not heavyweights. “Total nonsense” yet Usyk the undisputed is 37, fury and AJ the other 2 in the top 3 are 36 and 34 respectively. Clearly 26/27 isn’t the prime is it 😂
He’s definitely getting better, I thought he’d beat Miller and Hrgovic, he’s definitely improving and a good fighter, I personally think AJ is a step too far though and he’ll lose
Yeah I don’t think Dubois will be at the top for long. He has AJ older than him and above him, then Moses Itauma is younger than him and hot on his tail
Personally Fury. I think AJ wins this with relative ease against Dubois, and whilst I do pick AJ to beat Fury, by no means do I think it would be easy. I think it’s the 2 best British heavyweights of this generation fighting in the biggest heavyweight fight ever, I think it would a good and close fight that I slightly favour AJ in and the build up for that fight would be HUGE! What about you?
AJ beats Fury very easily. If Fury is still on his playful Vibe, then AJ is gonna blast him out of planet earth. I love the way AJ is always Professional and ready to batter any opponent. AJ is CLASS!
I think Fury’s defence is hugely overrated personally. I think he looks like he’s doing a good job defending but in reality he’s not avoiding much, just be in playful as you said. And if he tried to be a pressure fighter like he has been recently, AJ will land on him for fun
I think there was more to that though, I don’t think it’s quite as clear cut as just Ruiz beating him. That said I too can absolutely see an upset, Dubois is very powerful so I can see it
But this is it. Prepared for very different fighters, both the intended fighter AND the replacement tested positive for PEDs, too. But still the narrative is AJ should do better. I don’t understand
@@Thomas_Gamble facts my bro Altho, I don’t think Helenius intentionally cheated, I also don’t know the full contents of the drug test but I don’t fully know so I could be wrong However, point still stands
LIke when you said you don't think it's true they are only as good as there last fight. It could depend on who is training them the work out. And if they was sleeping well
Hopefully AJ gets beat down. This will give him "4" loss. If this happens, the media need to stop the hype about him. AJ has not been relevant in boxing for a long time now.
I think that’s true for a lot of heavyweights AJ has fought though. Maybe more so for Dubois as he is a very heavy puncher, and that’s why I said barring a lucky punch I pick AJ
@@Thomas_Gamble agreed 👍 but dubios is defo improving and 8 years younger I think the longer it goes the more chance of AJ getting clipped be interesting to see what happens if Daniel lands flush 😳
I disagree with you again on this one. Dubois will win by knockout in round 3. I have never rated A J but I’ve always rated Dubois & truly believed that if this fight did take place then Dubois will win in spectacular fashion. I’ve always had that conviction & it has never changed.
I could well be wrong! It’s an intriguing fight, I really think Dubois attitude and power pose a huge threat. I just personally can’t see how Dubois gets the win barring a lucky punch. I’ve watched back both of their recent fights and I really think all Dubois’ weaknesses play into AJ’s hands. I also think his strengths do too though, I think the way he brings the pressure will cause AJ to up his output and that will spell disaster for Dubois. That said, I could well be wrong! What do I know. All I do is sit back and watch. I can’t wait for this fight though - only 3 weeks to go!
@@Thomas_Gamble I don’t always get it right when it comes to predictions either. I’ve got many wrong & spectacularly wrong at that but much more often than not I have been right.
Your not rating AJ is at your own detriment. You lose your bets against him. DDD will get TKO'd . AJ is not on his level. AJ is 2 levels above Dubious. Dubious can improve and become the best HW. But he currently isn't & Anthony Joshua will prove that
Dubois. How he got that Usyk fight after his performances is crazy, and how he’s now IBF champion so soon after losing to the champion who beat him, crazy to me
Since losing to Usyk DDD has fought a fat Miller and Hrgovic who was a top 10 but not a top 5. AJ has fought an Otto Wallin who at the time was a top 10 but not a 5 (so when AJ fought Wallin he was the same level of opponent as Hrgovic was when Dubois fought him) and then the other 3 combined are more than Miller who’s beaten… nobody. AJ has more credible wins than DDD. AJ will stop Dubois, but we’ll see soon!
