lol it's called difference of opinion, also especially with comedy it's very subjective. Iliked this movie when it came out but it hasn't aged that well tbh, it's alright!

I disagree big time. This same year, Rocket Singh was released as well. And rocket singh's collection were not NEARLY as good as this movie and wake up Sid. I don't think the movie worked because everybody were loving Ranbir. Otherwise rocket Singh would've also been a hit considering it released the same year. This movie primerily worked because this movie catered alot to the people who just wanna watch a logicless slapstick comedy (alot of slapsticks have worked back in the day in India) So it just goes to show, the audience at the time did like such slapstick comedies. Otherwise it wouldn't make the numbers it did simply on Ranbir or Katrina's name. He had only spent a few years by the time in the industry. He obviously didn't have the commercial viability he has today. So whether we call it cringe or whatever. The audience did love it. The audience may not today, but they sure did love the movie itself back in the day.

@@anamikakhan593 i meant it worked bcz Ranbir as a romantic and silly and a lil dreamy guy character was liked a lot, which this movie delivered it too, unlike how he was in Rocket Singh.

Instead of Tees Maar Khan , Sing is King is better
