I met this gentleman many years ago at Amaravati (Hertfordshire) where I stayed for 6 months. He is very wise, a good communicator but above all, he has real compassion and an understanding of the human condition. This talk is so full of insight, it inspires me to re-access my life situation. Thank you for posting this.
“ I have nothing more to live for. I no longer want to live. I want to die now.” These are some of the thoughts that arise daily for me. Ajahn tells me they’re not mine and they don’t belong to me! Although Fear is my constant companion ... I take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha.
Wow, that was intense. It is comforting to know there is someone else in the world who just might understand.Outstanding! Buddhism appears to draw in a lot of us old, sometime lost, hippies.Have you noticed that? It's a good thing!Thank you.
