According to Spotify, this was my most-streamed album for 2020 and I can't say I'm shocked. Sometimes you just need to feel the type of musical toxicity The Weeknd gives you.
@@feloniusdude1698 dude the Grammys are fucking racist, remember in 2018 they snubbed Travis(astroworld), i kept my expectations low from the Grammys but I’ll say this the weeknd deserves the whole fucking world, his album was and is prolly one of the best albums of this decade No 🧢
Escape from la is my favourite, the story telling fucking kills it. That's what I love about this album so much. When you listen to the first few tracks again, you notice the lyrics more and recognise the storytelling in them too.
The Album is definitely an album that requires more than one listen. Every time there’s a certain detail to discover and you get to love it so much more the second time. AOTY
@@LokeshGarg The stats and press don’t seem to agree with you😑💅🏽 THE NEW YORK TIMES “The Weeknd's new album, “After Hours,” debuted at the top of the latest Billboard album chart, with the equivalent of 444,000 sales in the United States, according to Nielsen - the biggest opening of the year so far. “After Hours” had 221 million streams and sold 275,000 copies as a full album.” ROLLING STONE “The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ Ruled The First Half of 2020”.., BILLBOARD “The Weeknd just broke a 2020 Billboard record with his new album After Hours” VARIETY “The Weeknd’s After Hours Shatters Records” HIPHOP VIBE “The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ Album Officially Certified Platinum Two Weeks After Going Gold” THE NEW YORK TIMES ( again..) “The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ Earns the Year’s Biggest Debut Week”
@Gamma Syrup 🧐🤔🤔🤔...could have cut out the muted part and still left the video as she obviously liked it and also shows support to talent and hard working artists that break the mold . And well , asking the Grammies why he is this years chosen scapegoat is a rhetorical question 😒🤨
@Mayank Sharma. i hold her to higher standards , if she had forgotten , I’m sure she checks the vids before putting them up , but there were no after comments , nothing .., 🤷🏻♀️still , mute in the comment section . Even my little brother said it didn’t seem like her to do that , she usually stands up for things she thinks are not ok .
@@fadhiladinugraha probably , we can all spend hours speculating, however , it is very noteworthy that such a record breaking album according to all music publications such as Billboard , Rolling stones magazine and many others , would receive ZERO noms , even if I did not like the music it was objectively a very very successful year and album for The Weeknd and that is why it is notorious that she would not mention that , regardless of her taste . Like when she mentioned to the end how FKA Twigs wasn’t even acknowledged by the academy , that’s all . It’s a rare thing .
What’s the point in reuploading her video here? It’s to try to save her from the mistake of not mentioning his absence in grammys? It’s unbelieveable how she forgot just the main favorite for all the awards next year. And now her fans are trying to use this video as her defense? It didn’t work
So I said a couple days ago Ari’s new album was my favorite, but wow this Is my favorite album of 2020! He’s now become my favorite lyricist. The way he writes is just so real and clever. The vibes he brings are like no other. I got lost in every song. Hardest to love hit me hard. Snow Child is my favorite tho
Escape From LA, Heartless, and Faith are the best run of three songs of all time. Ending it with Blinding Lights to lift you a bit just makes it even better. I fucking love this album. Fuck a Grammy.
