I'm 23 amd also been into them imsince middle school! I don't really love him bashing new albums past knife man (I'm sorry I love 'normalisation blues' okay lol?) But!!!!!!!! I live seeing people this into them! Even if u don't agree with every take- tye while bamd deserves so much more attention!!!

1) People can criticize/have opinions things they like without the criticism being hate or unfounded whining. 2) My opinion on their sound since Knife Man isn't formed because it's different... I like pretty much all their stuff (EPs and random singles included) People to around Knife Man. People, Can't Maintain, Knife Man all sound different and show progression. Knife Man sounds way different than their early stuff, for example (I like a few of their early [pre-People] songs but not as a whole as much as the era I mentioned). But there is something about the songwriting and energy/emotion (even on the slower or not-as-punky tracks [think Love In the Time of HPV, If You Have Love in Your Heart, even People {the song}]) that I personally feel hasn't been quite there since Christmas Island. I've also just not been a fan of the general production aesthetics for a lot of the songs post-Knife Man. I've been a fan of the band for well over a decade, still go see them live when I get the chance, buy their music/merch, and want them to do well since as far as I can tell they're great guys. I'm not saying the music they make now is bad, and clearly there's still a decent audience for it, but I personally feel like there's another level they can reach that they haven't the past few albums. If that makes me a whiny asshole then so be it lol.

@@M00SE414 I kind of understand Good Luck Everybody, but Christmas Island, Bible 2 and Disposable Everything are totally top tier, their is no another level. i don’t think pre knife man is just inherently better, its the same band just progressing their sound in a really good way in my opinion!! you do have the more popular opinion though so i can’t say you’re too whiny on second thought

Honestly as a huge ajj fan. I can say that I do tend to find enjoyment in there less favorable albums even tho recognizing it’s not as good as their first couple albums Basically you kinda right lol

tbh Bible 2 is one of the weaker albums still but it makes up for it with the absolutely incredible Small Red Boy. i love that song so so so so so goddamn much

@@Mae-eg9gm thing is, Small Red Boy doesn't work as a song without all of the buildup from the tracks leading up to it. The Bible 2, to me, is an outstanding work for that reason alone. The emotional weight of that song is filled by the preceding tracks.
