Been using the 3rd Generation for a while, and I'm happy with them - I'm not going to rush out & replace all my colours, but I'll get them as I exhaust old bottles!. One thing to be aware of is it can have a bad reaction with IPA! I always mix my paints in a plastic shot glass before putting into my airbrush, which is just as well - the paint curdled & coagulated with IPA as thinner, would have been a real mess in the a/b cup! Water seemed to work as well as the AK thinner!

Been using for figures. And they work as you indicate. Plus in airbrush for base coating

8:40 - tense, dramatic music begins, and... nothing happens ;-) This does look like a nice range of paints, and I'll no doubt give some a shot if/when they ever become available in my country.

I am by no means an expert when it comes to brush painting but I do like the way this product lays down with a brush. I like Vallejo model paints for brush painting, but I did find that a few of the third generation AK paints seemed to go down a little better. I also recommend using a wet palette. I didn't believe the hype at first but after using it it makes a huge difference.

They level out very well with airbrushing , for that a good thinner is needed as they can get 'snotty' at the edges , low psi settings , no tip dry ,easy to clean out the airbrush quick between changeing paints ,overall it's good paint

Good coverage for handbrushing too, best thinned with ipa but they are very prone to scratching that is their weak point

I usually use 0,2 nozzle and 15 psi pressure with AK real colors, Tamiya or Gunze colors. Dilution rate 50/50 or 60/40

Great review again.I think they are still the same paints as MIG and Vallejo, they were all in one company and then they divided.:-) the only advantage they have is , that they arent toxic /if you domnt think them with Lacquer Thinner/

If I recall correctly, only Ammo by Mig and AK used to be one company, but split after a falling out between the two individuals who started AK, Mig Jimenez being one of the individuals. Vallejo was and is a totally seperate company.

Bobby, as an official partner/ product demo guy for AK are you continuing to push their products after there latest stunt? Can not believe that new book has a step by step of building a gas chamber along with AK Real Color paint recommendations. Interested to hear your thoughts.

It is something we are watching closely but we are not an official partner of any manufacture out there, also almost all our product reviews are paid for by genessis models and some are sent free by manufactures which we stat in our videos. If Ak does not resolve the situation and do the right thing, Genessis models will need to review any future relationship with AK Interactive

I bought this stuff it was terrible. Started 60/40 also what size needle and pressure you used in this video? Watching you spraying and looks good but I am getting poor resultsgetting

Good review. I saw these at my hobby shop on the weekend but knew nothing about them. Wish I had seen this first! My question, were you painting the Spit on the bare plastic or does the paint need a primer coat first? Thanks

Its all ways best to prime all the time but, you can get away with it if you wish but could case problems mate

I need help! I have a Tamiya model (Republic P-47M Thunderbolt) and noticed there are two different cockpit varieties. Can you advise which one is for which aircraft? The instructions do not say and I can’t find anything online. One looks like there is more detail than the other which I like. Sorry it’s not about your review but I need an expert help. Thanks a million!

Hi, I airbrush those colors with around 20 PSI and they go very well.

I watched a previous video on the AK washes. Now the washes did y apply then to the tank and keep on top of a varnish coat ?

Without a primer these scratch of plastic way too easy. Go on well be treat the model with kid gloves

why because they made a book of things that happened in history? Have you ever drank Fanta? im sure you've tried it, did you know they were created by Nazi Germany. vw, porsche, mercedes all these companies contributed to the german war effort during ww2. you probably can't afford the latter two brands, i can, but did you ever tell yourself you're not going to purchase a vw for yourself?

Vallejo and Army Painter have had a paint sample dimple in their lids from day one, so it's nothing revolutionary at all. Plus the fact you're wearing an AK shirt kind of smacks of a paid for promotion
