I love these two boxes together, adding Force sample chops and synth pads to Syntakt beats is so much fun. The Syntakt sounds generally fantastic, particularly like the digital kicks and analogue hats...
Wow....what a combo! Sounds great! As a Force owner i have been saving for a Syntakt and almost ready to pull the trigger. Would love to see how you have got these two singing. Awesome as always
Thank you! Yeah it’s a fantastic combination, Syntakt is basically what you want Force’s Drum Synth to be. Its drum sounds are great, but it can also do really nice analogue bass and leads too. It’s the best Elektron box in my opinion. To be honest, I’ve just got clock going from Force to Syntakt, and the Syntakt’s output going to an audio track on Force. They play together very nicely! 🙂
Another underrated machine that is my favorite force combo is the acess Virus TI. 16 independent channels with multiple IOs and it has some of the best onboard reverb, distortions, and delays i have ever heard. You can used a channel as an effect send loop. This sounded great though! This is my highest coveted electron box at the moment for exactly what you are doing
I’ve never played with one of those but would love to give it a go, heard nothing but good things about them. Loving the Syntakt though, I’ve had the DT and DN as well, neither clicked with the Force like the ST. The drums are great, but the analogue mono synth is fantastic too!
You can find the desktop versions for under a thousand now. I bought mine some 10 plus years ago, the “total integration” aspect of it running as an interface and a vst was the big selling point. But eventually that stopped working when apple updated and access stopped development. Now its a midi over USB behemoth and you can record automations in real tike with force. It weirdly works better on force than with an actual DAW.
Did you know, that you can set Auto-Channel to a desired midi channel-> notes from 0-11 (1-12) represent the indiviual tracks on the syntakt. long story short: you can play several tracks on the syntakt via one midi channel. (disable desired midi-input on the tracks that you want to trigger via autochannel, so you have these channels free for other hardware synths)
Hello, because I don't know anyone else who handles Force so well (I've seen all your videos) and I'm just asking.....how can I syncronize Akai Force with the Roland DJ 808 controller? Serato DJ wants to mix with Akai Force....Roland has a MIDI out....
