My bad guys! I had some technical issues with the other video... I'll have some more MPC software video this week too!!! Thanks again for the support!!
Hey Ave. Can you check out Cakewalk By Bandlab? It is also best free software available since it used to be a $500 DAW and the sick Pro-channel it has.
Thanks for doing a video for this. My boy just called me from NYC two days ago telling me about it. It looks like MPC Essentials rebooted, but the kicker is...it's free to EVERYONE now and not only Akai customers who have bought a piece of Akai hardware. (Essentials came free w/my Akai midi keyboard.) WINNING! Anyone who doesn't download this software package, is really trippin'. lol
I bought the software years ago when 2.0 was released, just because I'd always wanted an MPC and wanted to see what all the hype was about. Today, I rarely use the MPC software. I don't really regret buying it, but I wouldn't have if I could have gotten this for free. 😆🤷🏻♂️
*It's a VST plugin too! That blew me away. You could not spend money for a better drum VSTI.* We're in an area of free apps with DAW's where the ones charging us really have to work for our money. I've been doing this for over 20 years and had MPCB previously, but only just on the same workstation at once and saw the innovation. *Unbelievable!*
Ave; you are a life saver.. I was getting frustrated to understand how to make my MPK MK3 works. Watched several tutorials before yours. I just getting as a hobby to distract y self and I just created my first BEAT with you video. Thanks A Lot man!!! NOT even AKAI videos guides you the proper way,,
Ajkai really wants people to try their stuff out. Great selling aspect as well as far as promotion. And the fact that people can use any controller and still be able to make music off of this and not spend a dime on a DAW for the time being. And then pull up your vets, samples, and expansions...1UP.
Its main purpose is to provide a DAW for anyone buying there midi Hardware keyboards and potentially be a gateway to buying there more expensive devices such as MPC X because the work flow is the same.
It’s for free, people complaining too much. Get creative with the limitations 👊🏽 Aki out did them selves with this. I wonder why they did this, lol the hardware is where it’s at for them.
They did it to rope in new customers its the oldest trick in the book but a very well played trick even if you don’t but the hardware you will definitely buy expansions lol
I remember seeing the news and initially I didn’t think it was real bcuz I couldn’t find any proof, then I went on Amazon to order a drum pad and it was like “comes with MPC Beats”
Akai has a lot of making up to do with 1. akai force left on the shelf promises & false advertisement for working with a Ableton sw led to a lot owners who payed full retail value just a year ago still don’t know what to do with waisted hardware? Now it’s already 1/2 price
Oh yeah I also used this inside of fl studio and studio one 5 artist this morning lol I still think I will be using mpc beats standalone to become more Intuitive with learning mpc beats one last thing i bought the akai VIP software a while back so i kinda have supported akai a while back so I am very thankful my money went to a company that gave everyone something for free that would be easily paid for so yes next videos i uploaded of beats will be inside of MPC beats to show my appreciation and continued support of akai 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I've been obsessively sampling things and passing them through MPC beats and throwing them in Kontakt. And also making impulse responses of the reverbs. Shits fun.
I just bought my akai 2 weeks ago, been watching every tutorial on Earf and havent learned shit...I just learned so much more from this video. Thank you man!
Ave, for some reason I can't, preview my samples despite turning on the speaker icon....great video. Now, the old heads can get back into the beats in our retirement. Yes, technology has come a long way since making beats in the classroom with the butt of the hand and tip of the finger on a wooden desk with a portable reel-to-reel. Man, did we drive our English teacher crazy with the Afro Beat ha ha.
Awesome .... I'm a classical musician and wanted to start with some easy MIDI rhythms and sequences. I got a mini MPK and started AKAY tutorials ... it was a terible disaster ... until I found your channel. You are really teaching me how to make beautiful music, and I will certanly enjoy it in my work, so ... I sincerely wanted to thank you for the good quality of your videos.
Super duper dope explanation and review.. I downloaded it yesterday and have loved it so far. For any Novation users out there, my MPK Mini mk3 works great right out of the box. I highly suggest it because of the ribbon and pitch slides are stupid fun to assign modulation to. Thank you Akai again.
Man I was just about to buy the mpc software but unemployment on steroids ended . And then one day later this come out I’m hyped to get off work and download I had just cop native instruments finally downloaded all and need some great fill ins on tracks and now I can thanks
Ed M same komplete 12 the shit I’m trying to get them all to talk now been a min but covid got me back in the game since my first mpc back in 2002 mpc 1k
Wow I am so used to trackers that I searched everywhere in the interface for the tracks selection/settings and it took you the first 10 seconds in this tutorial (after download and install bien sur) to show me it was right in my face I feel really dumb lol ! I am trying to make an hybrid switch from the 1000 to MPC beats to one of my best buddy so he will be able to load his 1000 patterns and programs in Beats to do some mastering, compressing and wav export, etc. in a good, easy and powerful way (he still using audacity and integrated soundcard which is a shame because his beats are good as ffff) or do it the other way so he can do chops and programs fast and easy to save em on his 1000 too ! ...but the thing is, he is a total computer/modern technology noob and I am pretty sure he will totally be able to understands your tutorials because you are easy to follow, you keep it simple and always straight to the point ! Big thanks for your videos dude !
You took me back when you mentioned Acid lol. Acid was like one of the industry standard DAW along with Protools back in the late 90’s, early 2000’s...Gotta appreciate the creators that’s been making music softwares, VSTs, and plug-ins lately cause things have got’n way better ever since.
Free to MPC One, Live, Live II and X owners. I think also stuff like Rennosannace, Studio 2, MPC's that can be used as USB controllers. You get the serial in your account when you register your hardware.
I linked my pads to both of my midi controllers pads to be able to play the pads in pads view the progression so I think any midi controller with pads can be link using the midi learn global functions you basically touch what you want linked inside of mpc beats and move or touch the corresponding controls on your midi controller well that's how I linked everything up together
The only guy who made a video for the people who know absolutely nothing about beat making. Thank you🙏🏾!!! If you could make a video on step by step how to take a beat out of your head and make it a real beat, that would really be appreciated. That’s really my issue. I can make beats all day in my head buh when it comes to creating it frfr I’m stuck. So if you can please make a video on that, It would really help so much!!! If not does ANYONE in the comments know, if so lmk just @ me I’ll respond back. Give you my gram or sum so we can work it out.
This Give Away From Akai, will get those new beat makers hooked, then the trail will lead to buying the MPC One, Or the MPC Live II. A good Marketing Strategy.
I learned more from this video than I did the MPC Academy videos! You Rock! Get the Akai MPK Mini and you’ll see how the pads are mapped in MPC beats. Great video!
Always wanted to learn the mpc. I'm a MV8000 and roland Sp user so this is pretty new to me. Will be coming back to this vid again and again. Thanks Ave
I'm used to making a song a certain way but in different ways. But I have a certain structure. I like to see the entire song... like having all 80bars and then I have several different breakdowns within. So I got a lot to figure out lol. And me too. I've been doing music for years and this new wave is crazy
im glad i came across this video ive had my mpk mini for years and never really got around to setting it up with anything i just got it going now good video
I already have MPC 2.8 so I just downloaded the F9 and MPC Beats Producer kits samples. It has 160 Programs in MPC Beats alone. They gave out like $300 in Expansion Sounds and $100 worth of software 😳😳
Thanks for this post. I got the software and even with the beginners tutorials, I felt like I was missing something. Your explanation for the startup and adding sounds was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the video.
I compared your videos compared to the ones that the developers came up with and I must say, you are much more refined with your explanations and demonstrations. You've earned a new subscriber cheers!
I was literary just thinking "what can I buy that is like the MPC studio that I can use as a VST to get that workflow for sample chopping"... then came across an ad in google for this!!!! Cool, sorted... and it's free... but it's not one of these cheap things that aren't quite what I need... it's exactly what I need... and it's free... wow!
Because I just need something for the chopping to use in Ableton... then the fact it's only 8 Tracks doesn't matter... Plus I'm wondering if you have Ableton lite you can put one on each channel and turn 8 tracks in to 8 times 8 tracks (thinking emoji)
Bro!!!!! Thanks a 1000 for doing this video I have a akia mpk mini and the software that came with is so limited I only can use one track for my sequence. This is the best thing that mpc has done for my career.
Like you said 20 years ago it wasn't available. So in that aspect it's amazing. I was using hardware gear back in the 80's like Ensoniq ASR 10, Roland Juno 106, Akai S1100 . The good old days
This was super helpful and I have to say I love this DAW. The MPC One was already an incredible addition to my process but with the combination of this DAW and my MPC my workflow has improved like night and day. Thanks so much subscribed!
IMO, Waveform Free is THE BEST Daw out there on the market. The things u can do with a paid version of most daws, u can do in Waveform for free. Even the pro version is not expensive at all
this is a great new from akai , i had never had the opportunity to work with an mpc before , i was looking for the mpc one infos and to my surprise i found this free download , i am sharing the link to my friends, thanks for your demo
This all came out at perfect timing, got a controller and was looking into getting fo studio but honestly thinking about trying/ starting off with this new DAW, love how you made this video showing step by step with everything as like just even a start up, I really appreciate that
Only problem that I have with the mpc software is. When you select the vintage mode in the earlier versions you were able to adjust the settings now I don't see that anymore
Thanks for this. Been thinking about getting my first MPC One in the next few weeks. Use to own an 1100 and 3200XL back in the Atari days :-) Id love to see a vid on how to set the Beats up in Live 10 (Preferences - MIDI)
Good day sir. Thank you so much for such a well made and informative video. I have a newly purchased AKAI MPK mini play midi keyboard and I have never created in the MPC Beats program. Thanks to your video I believe I can do it. You are great, thanks again. And good luck stacking and helping us newbies. Thank you Regards Robi
aah, i just got into making soft rn and tNice tutorials is so helpful and your voice is so sootNice tutorialng btw! thanks for tNice tutorials tutorial
I finally got Studio 2.0 for the sliver MPC Studio controller that's been laying around collecting dust. I had a difficult time installing that and The Bank expansion. So much that Akai gave me a refund because they no longer support it. But somehow those finally loaded after several attempts. That controller works but not like those more expensive standalone units. Nevertheless at this point, I can barely turn it on a nd load the software. I bought several expansion packs from this dude online that are loaded on 64 gig SD card. I can't plug the card into the controller, but it should install on my computer (I hope). It's not her friendly for a 1st time user and I'm just talking about the software. I'm still frustrated over those downloads. With that being said, I'm intrigued by all of this. I plan to get lessons/formal training. The cost would be well worth it for me.
that iaminsight had a tutorial last night on this and he didn't show how to do anything , but of course ave you came today and saved the day. good shit ole chap cheers
LORDY YOUR PC DESKTOP IS A CLUSTERED MESS! Love the soundboard image though! I keep my desktop as clean as possible with on 3 icons: Recycle Bin, Windows GodMode, & Mouse Control Shortcut. May look into this, however, I'm starting to get into DAW overload with the ones I have now. But you SURE can't be FREE.99!
Thank you very much for this amazing Tutorial. I have the MPK mini new and its my first try to produce Music by my own. First I had no plan, but after looking your video I feel a bit better. Now I will try and learn :-) Good Luck and much success :-)
Yo man you’re super dope with the reviews hahha man we’re old school. Remember ejay? Mad years ago haha times have advanced. Thanks for getting me through this mpc beats stuff I’m loving it so far.
Appreciated the demo and hot take...see there is a 10 track limit but that's cool... I'll use it as a sketch pad. Would like to see the free version to go to iOS and work like Gadget 😂... dreaming anyway. Great way to pull in new users to the MPC side. I see them doing a higher track count paid version later👹gateway style☮️
Yeah as far as the sliding 808, you can use a sliding bass in the plugins and your vst, but if you use a sample, I don't think there's a slide/portamento function in the program edit window...that would be nice
I'm use to it since I use the MPC in standalone all the time... I hooked it up to the software and it made sense... Now I'm pretty decent with it in other DAWs.
Man thank you so much .i didn't even know about this software to i saw this video. Man i am loving it and it have alot stuff already in the software better then the software i downloaded for my mpd last year from akai.but this one they just put out is where better to me.
