This video is 7 different tutorials with time stamps. I forgot about one thing. You can send multiple outs to FL Studios mixer. Meaning you can do whatever you want in the MPC beats software, use Fruity Loops piano roll for whatever, and still track out your beats in the FL mixer.
btw shout out to Doswell beat! He said to warp all the pads at the same time go to the drop down tab that have the pad label and select all and then hit warp. And then make sure you hit the drop down again and go back to current
Its a little weird but you can also use midi out on fl to control each program in mpc beats software too. You can assign each program to a midi channel and port. That way you can still use the FL piano roll.
Hey Ave First thanks for all of your videos very helpful and motivating for me, already learn a lot from here. I bought your fl file for mpk mini mk3. It works flawlessly with FL but when I'm trying to use it mpc beats as plugin in FL the pads are not working, it tries to trigger fl channel rack in the background. Any tips on this please? Thanks
I am trying to figure out how to send separate kicks, hats, snares from MPB directly to the FL Studio Mixer. Is that what you mean? If so, could you please elaborate? It is literally the only question I have left.
I just want to thank you for putting these videos together, I started producing on an MPC in 1998, my father got me an MPC 2000 as a graduation gift and I made so many good songs on it, I upgraded to a 2500 and gradually moved on to producing in DAWs, and did some really great music in them and will continue to use them, but this software is amazing, my father just turned me on to it, the quantitization feels just like the old school MPCs and the work flows very similar, and integrates well with DAWs. I really hope Akai keeps this software up-to-date and continues to add features, and doesn't abandon us.
To warp all the pads at the same time go to the drop down tab that have the pad label and select all and then hit warp. And then make sure you hit the drop down again and go back to current 👍🏾🙏🏾the video is dope bro good stuff 🔥🔥
That’s why I love this brother! He keeps it real!!!! This is wat metro been doing! He was making his beats in mpc then put them in fl studio. Next I want you to bust murda beats as well!
Ave, It's been a long time since anyone has commented on your Tuts. Let me say that I enjoy your commitment to teaching folks about MC BEATS. Thanks man..
You can actually just click the little export audio button in the UI and then just drag it as a wave right onto the playlist. No exporting to folder required.
Keep up the good work Ave. I'm probably one of the only cats on here that's even more old school than you, been at it since about 1984. My first drum machine type device was the Korg KPR-77, and DAWs didn't exist back then. It was either two reel to reel machines, or eventually a four or eight track machine and a mess of synths (I did also have an Ensoniq Mirage sample which made me the ultimate guy to talk to round town.) Just want to say thanks and let you know that there are some of us old geezers out here watching too. Every few years, there is a new way of doing things and a completely new work flow (um gettin to old or this.) You know I'm right. I have a real appreciation for this one that you posted since I have no experience with the newer MPC software. Now just a quick geezer note, an OG call. Back in 1986 I think, but don't quote me, Roger Linn was still pushing Linn Drums, and at that time, they were the Bomb! Couldn't afford that though. My drum machine had bell sounds for cymbals. They don't know how lucky they are to have things the way they are today. Accessible, and relatively cheap. In this case free! Thanks again man. Just subscribed to your channel and will be back again to check in on what you'e doing. Keep up the good work!
Man I was just watching a hit boy interview and he uses mpc with fl studio it’s super fun . And that vintage presents like mpc 3000 sounds 🔥🔥. The drums sound and hit better. MPC with fl is unmatched
Mannnnnnnnnnn you make my day with these videos,And you are right about the all MPC heads with grey hair!!!I'm one of em..I use pretty much everything you use but MPC just keeps me coming back and they have just improved Software wise. Thanks for all the tutorials and videos King...Nuff Respect 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I watch learn and make music I leave the tutorials to those that are grate at doing what they do basically I stay in my own lane which is making my music still thanks much appreciated keep doing a grate job 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
This video is point on PERFECTLY demonstrated and explained the way that this mpc software works with FL studio is amazing SHOUT out many blessings to you for sharing your experience and knowledge with the World thank God for people like you
I’m old school 🏫 myself. AKAI 💯 I graduated from high school in 1987. I remember my 1st drum 🥁 machine, Roland MC 505 and then the 626, the 707, etc. MPC 2000 and the XL.
so glad i found this video. i spent hours trying to find out how to map my akai mpk mini 3 drum pads to the channel rack, but to no avail. this is such a better way to go about my workflow. hella thanks. ✨🚀
One thing I never see mentioned, if you click on the cogwheel on the top of the MPC vst plugin, goto 2nd tab "VST WRAPPER SETTINGS" then Processing tab then click automap outputs or select each stereo out listed to a track on your FL Mixer... then you can route per Pad or Programme to the separate outputs and use FL's mixer and plugins directly and well from there you can do all sorts resample track out etc straight into FL from your MPC Device.
I remember hearing about this free daw/vst from you and at first I didn't know what I would need it for but then when I figured out that it can be used as a vst I realized that this is literally perfect for me to have structure to my workflow while inside fl studio, fl is very open and I feel like fl studio gives u lots of freedom ease of use but it's necessary to be able to structure your workflow into things like loops and layers of sounds and then make beats from there rather than just mindlessly experimenting in fl studio which I usually do and that can mean I lose focus on my beats overtime 😃 thanks so much Mcree for introducing this and other free vsts to me they are lifesavers for producers
Man thanks so much this is what I was looking for in FL and didnt know it existed. Thanks so much. Used to doing it analog and tryna get my main sampler digital because vintage ones keep breaking haha
I just want to say this was the first time I've seen one of your videos but man I love it like like you got right to the point everything looks like pretty straight forward you know easy to follow them directions and you just doing a good job man for real for real I've subscribed and everything I'm going to be checking out more
Great vid AVE and U are so right about the history and the culture of Hip Hop production bruh! Started out with am Emax keyboard and cakewalk on a 5 1/2 inch floppy 😂
to follow you step by step from beginning to end on this vid. . . .ive enjoyed using this along with FL. so Sir massive thanks for this vid and also ive saved this vid too :D
I got to say it. MACHINE is trippin right now. With this software they gonna have to make a move or get out of town. Lol I just downloaded it and already learning some stuff . Thanks Ave .
Man Ave, I've been watching you for a couple of years. Every since you got MPC One, I've been looking at Akai. Yeah, I have Native Instruments, but I had to bust out and get the MPD226 this week. It's not the MPC One, but the software and those pads....damn!!!!
That last part so true I will probably do some investing into akai buy a product or 2 from them over the next year or 2 I have bought a few products of akia already so basically I understand using akia products to make my music and show case it is me do me still buying there products is me giving support for the company to stay in business 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
FPC is good that more to stop clutter... For free this program is good but FL does everything that MPC program does... So no need for it in that sense. Used to HATE FPC but in the end it was one of the tools that ended up using a lot. FPC/Edison great combo of tools and save so much time with drums. Excellent tool.
The MPC was made the year I was born The significance and importance of such machine My first time ever using a MPC was the 2000 XL One never forgets the feel and touch of the pads the knobs the workflow of it this is why I love Akai because they have stuck with the same formula and have adapted with time A lot of companies have come and gone since akai's inception even some of the major players like Roland cannot compete with Akai I'm sorry Don't get me wrong Roland has some good shit but akai has it another company I would say that's up there with Akai is Korg with there trition series working with both is very lovely
Yo Ave I think I noticed something this morning while I was working. When you warp a slice and see you that lil “120Bpm” light up, I think you’re supposed to input the og bpm of the sample to get it to true time stretch. I may be way wrong though, just something I noticed.
I would defend Serato Sample but I spent $99 dollars on it and can't open it,not even in trial mode.It was working fine now it,Beatformer,Rhythmiq and Regroover Pro won't open.Over 200 dollars worth of plugins I can't use.Smdh.
Aight ave I'll download this...since I dont have serato sample this could be my go to sampler...learned how to make beats on mpc60 so this will be nostalgic for me lol
I still need you guys input on MPC vs Native Instruments Maschine. I'm going to make a purchase in the next coming weeks. Thinking about purchasing MPC One
I'll put it to you this way. I had a Maschine for 3 years and after trying the MPC Beats software with just the mpk mini, I ended up uninstalling maschine.
@@slpwlksounds I bought an Mini MK3 today and two expansions. I can't wait until it comes. I'm definitely not in a hurry to make any beats for now until it comes. It controls MPC Beats perfectly. I'll use that time to watch videos on RU-vid. I'll be getting MPC One within a month brotha.
awesome video thank you for the great information i want to buy the mpc retro will this work with the retro or which mpc do you prefer im a first time buyer
Dang, whenever I see these vids and try to get stuff on my pc working I feel so dumb haha Literally yesterday my PC was fine. Today? EVERYTHING IS ALL SLOW. Not sure why. Tried scanning for malware and stuff, deleted files to make space, etc.
Hello sir, I have this free vst mpc beats software. I am using ableton live 10. If possible could you please show me how to set this software up in ableton live 10?🙏🏻
Ave, please help me. I am a total novice wanting to make boom bap hip hop beat. I am not a musician so I will be 1000% reliant on sampling. I am trying to keep my costs down. I am thinking about the Akai MPC Studio II but there's something else I saw for less called the Akai MPD 218. Will the MPD 218 work seamlessly with FL Studio? In your opinion, what is easier to learn FL or the Akai MPC software. Please help me. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas to you.
Good stuff! Thanks for sharing this. What's the difference between MPC Beats and MPC Software? I see that one is free and these costs $200. hope you can help me out. Thanks! Keep up the good work
I like how it automatically chops for you. Maybe FL Studio does that too, but I'm new to it all. One question though. I seen the sp1200 come up. Did that come free to?
@Ave Mcree great video.. How did you get the Mpc to record directly into Fl?? I use the Mpc X and want to play my drums and chord progressions directly into Fl.. How did you set it up to record directly from your Mpc into Fl? I want to record directly into Fl without drag n drop.. or rendering out to WAV.. Thanks for your help and content..
Peace. Blessings for the knowledge and wisdom! Does the mpc 4000 work with this software? Most important can upload a beat from the mpc 4000 and use this software to make changes to it as well as track out and save it.
yo i installed it but my i dont have mpc live i use ATOM from presonus and my pads do not match my mpc beats pads how do i match it up..can u tell me or make a video how to do so..thankx
Followed the video to a T... for some reason it’s not recording the events in FL studio.. it doesn’t even light up like I’m striking a pad (in fl) how do i fix this? I checked the midi setting in FL and it still doesn’t work
i don,t know nothing however i do have a akai force and the akai MPK MINI also the mpc beats program. right now my mini when i hit a pad it does not have the same sound as the pads on the screen, please help.
