This is exactly how it's done! Good stuff my man. While I'm more of a creator of music from scratch and play multiple instruments, the artform of sampling has been more appealing to me than ever now that I've purchased my own mpc one! I'm looking forward to more of your videos. Excellent quality content my man. I subbed, liked, and shared your video. ✊
Hey brotha this means a lot and thank you so much for your support!!!! And yes I wish I could play an instrument myself but I never got to it, I always was behind the mpc sampling lol. Thank you again for this message
Hello, I'm super new to this machine. I play guitar and bass, I've been a musician for many years. But, this is new to me. Something I've been interested in for years though..so.... My phone, the pixel 6.... No headphone jack. I got a Bluetooth adapter to plug into the MPC but the quality is total garbage, all garbled and just like weird sounding. Any thoughts on how I can fix this? Thanks!
This really means a lot thank you so much for taking the time and sharing your feedback. Much love and blessings to you also congratulations on your new MPC.
Hey, well I personally feel lock in with this MPC ONE, I really don’t feel like I’m handicapped with anything when it comes to sampling and beat production. It’s really a nice peace to have in the studio. Hope to keep pumping out some more videos very soon and thank you for the support. Blessings 🙏🏽
@@malobeats Sería genial! Estoy pensando en comprar una MPC One pero también me gusta la Macshine+. No sé qué elegir, me gusta más el diseño de la MPC pero los sonidos de Native son muy buenos. ¿Has probado Maschine+? Te dejo tranquilo. 😊
I play and record punkrock, d.i.y with a tascam model 24...I just stumbled across your vid, this is not my element, but this little unit looks bloody awesome!!! Rad vid.
Hey Ryan, thank you so much for taking your time in checking out the video and commenting it really means a lot. I’m glad you were still able to find value from this video. Blessings 🤘🏽
Thank you for the feedback Nikko, oh man brotha I’m exited for you when you get it. I’m sure you gonna love it. Let me know if you do end up getting it. Blessings
@@nikkothareaper3733 bro that so bad ass, yes I usually use a Ableton But it’s been so much fun or being able to work straight out of my MPC without having to turn on my computer.
Big Brother Malo! Another great video my Brother. I looked at just how you easily RECONSTRUCTED your sample with the pads! That machine is WICKED Malo! And of course, your creativity was superb! To really appreciate the Akai, people have to love music. Keep pushing your videos out Brother Malo.
subscribed and amazed! 🔥 fire beat!! and thank you for sharing such great tips and knowledge. can't wait to get my mpc one😎 you're an true inspiration my friend. sending love from Japan!!
This message really hit me🙏🏽🙏🏽 thank you so much for taking the time out of your day and watching this video, it really means a lot and I don’t take your words lightly. Thank you for your support and Blessings to you. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks for the vid ,mate! I write a lot of music and its always good to find easy to follow videos as I don't have time to learn complex things as I do things on the go...
Hey Raul, thank you for taking the time and checking out some of my videos it really means a lot and I’m glad it was helpful and saved you some time. Blessings
Thanks man great video. I’m waiting for my One to arrive any day now and I was hoping I could use it this way. I’ve got a room full of records I’ve been collecting for 25 years. Can’t wait to chop em up like crazy and add drums (ok and make drum kits from them too). It’s a life goal lol and I’m finally there
Great video, I like the brass! I haven't used this function yet because I like working with a sample bank that I have already edited but I will definitely use it when I want to sample and produce at the same time! Thanks ✌️
Hey Chris, Yes I don’t always use this method but most of the time when the song is on beat and I’m able to do slices I like working with this method but if the sample is a little more complex then I’ll just stick with the regular sampling and chop it later.
I tell all Mpc users this get a flash drive or SSD instead of a SD card. I lost all my beats using the SD card and called Akai. They told me sometimes the vibration of hitting the pads can mess up the SD card. I bought a Samsung 1TB external SSD off of Amazon and it's great.
Hey brotha, thank you so much for sharing this input with us. So far I have not had any bad luck with my SD card but again I’m glad you mention this because you’re not the first person that has said it. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for this.
I'm about to grab an mpc one - an external ssd will hook up to this? I'm guessing by usb, but also wonder if it'd have to be powered separately or could be usb powered
@@MidiFister USB powered. My Samsung USB came with the cord. The Mpc One only has 1 USB port. So u should also grab a USB port that has more outputs I have 1 that has 4 outputs on it.
Hey brother, thank you so much for these words I highly appreciate you taking your time and writing this. I will definitely keep pushing content. Blessings to you
Hey!! What's going on new to your channel when I first heard that sample It just fealt like a reggaeton jungle with a splash of jazz I can hear other instruments that will sound good thanks for this video ✌🏾🎧
Hey Jermaine, bro thank you for stopping by and sharing your input I really appreciate it. I hope this video was helpful in someway. Blessings to you brother
Nice tutorial. Sick beat already. Do you have videos on how to chop and match it to your BPM of your choice. I’m using the daw since it’s free lol. Thanks and much respect to the work you do.
I loved this video you made me want to buy one too! Also, can you tell me if yours is a special version of the mpc, or is it a skin? I couldnt find this colourway anywhere but it looks so dope😍
This is so good dude! Great mix; I’m just learning on my MPC and nobody else in the comments seems to have asked yet but what’s the name of the original track you sampled here? thanks for sharing your tutorials 😁
Hey Christian, thank you so much for dropping by and taking the time to watch the video. Yes I actually do remember the original sample I’ll look it up as soon as I get home later on. I’ll get back to you on this later on tonight.
@@malobeats thanks so much man I love your videos, I just picked up an mpc one to get back into making beats after many years out and I’m learning so much from all your content
Awesome video, really appreciate the time you're taking to teach beginners like me! It looks like your "Cable to Connect Phone to MPC for sampling" link is dead though. Would you please repost?
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hPV7eCxOU9I.html i’m not sure if you’ve seen this video but it’s a short video I did going through my process when I make a beat. I hope you enjoy brother blessings.
Hey Anthony, thank you so much for your support brother you have no Idea how much it means, I’m not familiar with discord but it is something I want to look into a bit more. Again I highly appreciate your support.
Thanks for the vid! Is there a way to automatically set the MPC where it would find the spot on each chop so there’s no pops and clicks that we have to correct later?
Absolutely Joe, if you are in your sample edit page while you’re chopping up your sample if you hold down shift you will see an option that says (zero snap) make sure you engage that and that will get rid of any click or pops
how should I start, selet the drum program from my main browser and then I can record a sample to add it or should I start first with the sample, dang my fsecond time using the MPC one
Brother I'm looking to buy this machine. I work with Reason and yrs ago I bought a Roland MV 8000. I loved it only reason I got it was it was an easier workflow to understand and now after 20 yrs of working with Reason I wanted something that use with Reason so if I buy it you will be my Kung Fu master.....lol Any words of wisdom you or anyone else have on this machine feel free to fill me in. Peace & Blessings Ghullah Geechie Forever Warrior Priest Forever 🦁
Hey brother, thank you for dropping by. If you have some experience with a hardware sampler or drum machine in the past I’m sure you will be able to gravitate towards this one fairly easy, it could seem a little daunting at first since this machine is packed full of features but as soon as you understand it’s terminologies and language everything clicks and makes sense very fast, I also come from a background of an older drum machine so when I upgraded to this one everything clicked very fast and I was so glad I made the upgrade because the newer technology is just so much more convenient versus what we used to use with the older machines.
can you do more smaple beats because my beats sound like two different beats how do i mix everything sound good n thank you a lot ppl doing show thing like this
Hey Charles, this means a lot and I’m so glad you took the time to leave this comment is definitely helpful for some of my upcoming videos. I’m definitely going to do a lot of sample lien videos since there is so much to digest in the topic alone.
Hey Alex, thank you for asking that question it is actually cream kind of like the 2000 XL but it’s definitely in the lighter side compared to the 2000 XL.
@@malobeats cool. Thanks. Man but it's expensive to get in Romania. Shipping + tax... Can you do a detailed video about it? Or send me some pics on alex.buga@gmail.com
@@alecsbuga that’s funny you mention that because I’m actually going to be working on a video in regards to this retro skin since so many people have been asking. I’m not sure if you have Instagram but here is a pic with my 2kxl right next to it on my IG instagram.com/p/CKstyOkA_Ib/
Nice tutorial! As a beginner in MPC world wanna ask a question. After you chopped the sample you just lay this slices over the beat. And question is what's that beat? You just making the beat first of all and then you put the slices over it? Some stupid question but I don't get the process. Thank you.
Hey brother, I think that’s an amazing question and it’s a topic to talk about in a further video. Honestly it depends, there are times when I start with the samples first and just play diferente Melodys and then add the drums after or like in this case I started with a simple drum loop and then I started improvising with the samples, there really is not a right or wrong way to do it. Thank you for this question I hope this was helpful and I would love to do a video on this topic latter.
Hey shayla, thank you so much for ir your support and honestly I haven’t used the mpc 1k I’ve only used the 2000xl 2500 and the mpc one, so far my favorite is the MPC ONE I just love that it has everything I need to sample and make beats straight out of the box without needing anything else so I’ve been extremely happy with this Mpc one
@@malobeats Thankyou so much for your insight please keep the content coming . Last question do you have a video on sequencing ? If not can you make one I’m pretty new to mpc and I struggle with programming drums . Thanks 🙏🏾
@@sheaholiday3019 of course I can do a video on sequencing thank you so much for this request I’m definitely gonna gonna work on that as soon as I can.
Can you Quickly Duplicate a Sample to Multiple pads .. Example copy Source/Sample on Pad 1. Copy to Pads 2-16 in Bank A, Then edit each start and end points .. on each pad?
Hey Sizakele, thank you for your support and welcome to the channel 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. Thank you so much for this question, I was actually thinking of doing a video on this topic so I will work on it. I usually get my samples from RU-vid and also a few other websites. I will be working on this video very soon. Blessing to you brother 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I'm sure there's already a video for this, but I prefer more of recording a whole loop then chopping it up to different pads, especially since I love weird start and stop points in each chop - I go for that wacky electro off time sound
Hey brother, I’m not sure if you have Instagram but if you do send me a message there so I can send you a video that I think might be happening from your end.
It’s definitely an mpc perk and that’s the beautiful thing about this mpc, it makes it so simple to sample in to. You can also do it on your computer but you will need to have an external interface connected to it so it could make it a bit more complicated if you do not have an external interface.
It will change the BPM when I pitch down within the program, editor, if you want the BPM to stay the same, but still mess with the pitch I would look into WARPING, I don’t talk about warping as much since I’m just not a big fan of it in standalone but if you’re using the doll with your MPC, it actually sounds really good
