Yeah can’t go wrong with old school stuff but this is a nice piece of equipment and affordable

Nice simple review. As a relative beginner who is not happy just clicking in notes on daw but likes to start by playing stuff, this seems ideal and nicely separate from my main keyboard controller (ARTURIA)

I just ordered one today from Amazon & I also have a MacBook Pro I am a beginner & I have a M-Audio Midi controller that has a 5 Pin MIDI out & I had just ordered a Roland JV-1080 Midi Sound module that has the MIDI IN & MIDI out & I want to start off using Ableton because according to the reviews it is better then Garage Band & MPC Beats

Thank you for the video. I am a total newbie. I am think about FL Studio. Will this controller work with FL? Also, I noticed that there isn't a 16 level feature on this controller. Not being a keyboard player, is there any work around, where you can have a single bass note across all 16 pads to play basslines? I appreciate any help. Thank you

It works best with GarageBand in my testing it’s plug and play. With FL studio it seems like you have to adjust the pads around to much. But there’s probably adjustments to make it work in FL better

I know you said it is plug and play. Will I need to buy a separate port in order for the cable to fit on a Mac? Max doesn’t have USB-C. Will in my case it doesn’t

Yes you need a computer and music program like GarageBand or fl studio for example

I have a question. I am using garage band as well. The sounds are the one you export from garage band or the machine has sounds itself? I ask because i would like yo have more drum sounds since there s not many differnt in garage band.

Sounds only come from the music program you are using no built in sounds. Try updating garage band you might have an older version

What's the sensitivity of the pads like? Is it ir easy to trigger or or do you have to hit it hard?

its quite sensitive, it responds to your touch very quickly and its very responsive.

They can set based on touch or just a full volume every time you hit a pad

We ordered this drum machine from Amazon and downloaded 3 programs tonight trying to get it to work.. we are amateurs but thought it would be alot easier. After about 4 hours and only getting it to make a keyboard noise on the laptop despite pressing on drums weve given up for tonight. Apart from being amateurs what are we doing wrong? ... definitely 'plug and play' isn't happening for us..any advice appreciated.. xxx

Will it work with a android Tablet? cause I have a fully loaded MacBook Pro Mid 2012 but I want to be able to Travel lite with my Samsung A7 Tablet & the MPD218 besides I heard that Ableton Live lite is better then the MPC Beats software & it’s easier to use. But I still plan to buy the MPC One Gold soon as my main toy

I use garage band. It plugs into a standard usb port. It works perfectly with GarageBand all the sounds Match with pads. I’ve tried it with FL studio and it wasn’t as easy as it is with GarageBand. Not sure how it would work with android. For $100 it’s small and portable and awesome tool for making beats.
