"Where'd yall find this guy" the only reason you haven't heard of him before now is because he raps about the truth. I'm so glad to see almost every rappers react channel have been put onto Akala via their RU-vid followings. There's a reason he gets suggested every time. We have to fight for change. The most surprising thing to me is that when people first hear this freestyle they almost always nod and agree with his words; we KNOW the world is fucked, apathy and lethargy ARE criminal. Bring the change, force the change, be the change. Great video lads. Keep it up, share it with anybody who will listen.

Am a little late but so happy I finally saw this reaction. Akala truly is a storyteller and most definitely is THAT GUY. It's not a song but he has a lecture he did at the Oxford Union called "The lost pages of history" which is truly an eyeopening lecture, can't recommend it enough. Keep up the good work, love the channel.

I am back, and damn was it glorious to see your reaction to the powerhouse that is Akala. You can't stop here. He's got three more fitb that get better than even this one. Do them in two parts each if you want, but please definitely react to them. He has a fifth one in the pipeline too. Other UK artists? Aside from their fitb I can say for definite that Akala and Lowkey songs will not get your vids claimed or blocked. These guys are beyond amazing. Of course there are plenty other UK artists that are good. But for the sake of keeping this comment shorter react to Akala - Maangamizi and Lowkey - Soundtrack to the struggle 2.

Akala is a national treasure as far as I’m concerned. He now has a phd. Has written poems & books. His book Natives race and class in the ruins of an empire is a best seller. Also you lads gets a chance check out his lecture at Oxford university it’s on RU-vid. I love it when our American cousins discover Akala. 🇬🇧🥰🖤✊🏽🙌🏽

you have to do part 4...its like pt 1 but with a million switch ups, cant remember how many beats he goes over but its around 10...and its seamless, In this one he is just spraying facts, in pt 4 hes spraying facts but switching his flow to match and lead beats, playing with flow like its a fucking xbox controller, switching gears like rally driver etc...the beats are all fire as well. Pt 1 is information over load. pt 4 is one of the best displays of Technical MC craft I have seen/heard mixed with , as ever , deep as fuck content, its basically a masterclass, a level/bar that is set, its pure beast mode

fire reaction, you have to understand man has 2 honorary PHDs not only for his contribution to the arts but his socio economic work in the community, he's on the frontlines on interview talk shows taking down snarling racists with facts and a smile on his face, he's inspired rappers and poets to hold people in government personally responsible for perpetuating racism and the contempt they have for the working class, his investments in youth schemes have changed lives. highly recommend anything by him, also his book called natives; talking about race and classism in the UK since the empire crumbled and how it provided this foundation for modern systematic racism in the present

Yo great reaction and breakdown guys. You really need to react to Lowkey, he is friends with Akala and it was when Akala met Lowkey that changed Akala to the rapper you just heard. Lowkey spits woke bars that is digestible, he is the best rapper in the UK fully independent. If you want to understand his lyrical ability and range listen to Alphabet Assassin. As I've said on other reactions to Akala (A-ka-la) school is in session when he spits bars. I highly recommend listening to ALL of his FITB sessions - each one justs gets better and better and you'll learn alot (imo) - Also confirm that he is gives lectures at Oxford University, a couple of them are on YT if i'm not mistaken.
