remind me again why chelsea died faster than my faith in humanity....oh yeah, the writers decided that getting stabbed in a vital area doesn't kill Kurome, except for the time where she got stabbed in a vital area and died, without showing any signs of magic death curse. Writing is just so hard guys.
Correction, he didn't decide to join Night Raid, he was forced against his own will by big lion mommy milkers, but it would have been a win either way 🤣
I’m glad you put Bols pretty high up. Most people don’t seem to like him, even tho he is the kindest person in the show. He has killed innocent people but he did it for his family sake and to be with them. I liked him too, he didn’t deserve to die and especially his family in the manga, that shit made me hella mad
I haven't read the manga, but I was also kinda disappointed with how the anime ended and spoiled myself just to see Mine and Tatsumi get their good ending :) Also, from what I've researched, Akame Ga Kill experienced the same thing that Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 did: the anime studio making their own ending because the manga wasn't finished at the time. Because of this, I'm hoping we get a reboot of Akame that follows the manga more, similar to FMA: Brotherhood. Then again, I'm also still -coping- hoping for No Game No Life Season 2 ;-;
I wished this anime continued even though it was depressing as shit but the character development and how it makes you feel for them when they die horrendously, was TOO good.
Night Raid was a solid crew but good gawd….they all Ga Kill”Ed. I was still holding it together until they killed off Tatsumi after he did all the character development and it almost made me hate the whole show off that ending lol….but I had to get out my feelings lol
5:15 aside from her viewpoint she is very beautiful it’s a shame she’s lived at a place we’re respect the strong and tortured the weak it that reason why Tatsumi didn’t like her back if would of been more sympathetic and been more kind he might look her way
this one is one of my favourite animes because when i first watch it there was suspence, because there was a chance to be killed for everybody, and also there wasn't the power of FrIeNdShIp
Akame ga kill is great show, great to put on casually- uhh yeah if you've seen it before that is! All of the main cast are likable and play off of Takumi nicely. As anime-only watcher of Akame ga kill, choosing the kill-all route really makes the show stand out, but I can't say I like it as some character deaths really do feel rushed, like purple haired girl dying to essentially a raid mob, or... list goes on, (I haven't watched it in years haha) many characters that die only in the anime don't feel "deserving." Don't get me started on Leona's death. Funnily enough, the only character I couldn't care much for is Akame herself, she's like a dark brooding batman who talks to Takumi 2 or 3 times, and at the end of the show she's like, "I'm the last one standing, *Chicken Dinner bitches!* "
Kurome and Wave is the only interesting and well done ship of the entire series. Esdeath and Tatsumi was just forced and toxic love. Not even Tatsumi and Mine was that good of a couple either.
@@janisir4529 I don't see nothing "interesting" about a generic shonen mc dude always rejecting a cartoonish sadist walking simp (And cuck). It might be that the relationship of Kurome and Wave is not something unique but at least those two had a more interesting way to end up like they're now.
This anime could've used more episodes for us to know the characters and their backstories more and when they killed off most of the main cast we would know more of their backstory before they died...still liked the series though
Just got done rewatching and I agree that's its biggest flaw. If it had twice the amount of episodes to expand on the characters and their relationships it'd be one of the goats.
weII tbf the anime ending is onIy scuffed because the anime ended on december 15th 2014 whiIe the manga ended December 22 2016, so the anime ending was most IikeIy going to be the canon ending (even tho it technicaIIy is the canon ending) but it either wasnt weII recieved or the author didnt Iike it
@Festive Astolfo they should’ve just created a new ending tbh. Why kill half of your main cast when you could’ve spent the time trying to develop the characters you’ve introduced but decide to say “fuck it, we don’t need you anymore.” I literally wept for the characters deaths because of this. The good thing is that author has improved with his writing for the prequel and sequel mangas so let’s hope he gives them the happy endings that they deserved
This anime is pretty shitted on by the shounen fans and anime fans in general, but i dont give a damn. Akame ga Kill has a very special place in my heart as its one of the first animes ive sit through and watched. The plot is good and some thing are repetitive but the characters are just too good for me to hate it. I wish we got more content from it.
You know, for all that the manga has a happier ending for the main characters... it's way darker and gets seriously messed up, so it's an even more depressing story... The first manga I bought all volumes for though. The art's just crazy good. Also, there is an even more messed up sequel, though it got sadly discontinued just as the story began to really going.
Man, Seryu is best girl after Esdeath. I'm a sucker for Kira Vincent-Davis' voice, but the justice stuff was fine in my books. Really dumb anime; definitely gotta shut your brain off for it cos there isn't much substance. As Lunar points out- there's no real ideological battle here, just characters being crazy and corrupt. Visually, White Fox (or whatever studio it is) did a good job.
8:13 if you prefer happy endings where none of the main characters die or become vegetative state you should try to watch Zeta Gundam. They always day about the "Tomino save" where he finds a way to save everyone in the end!
as someone who watched this anime is bad i enjoy it , i feel like there should make akame ga kill zero anime is a beginning of akame ga kill, for akame ga kill give it 5/10.
Actually the only one can survive holds up. It didn't say they had to die right away but by the end at least one person from each combat encounter had died
great review, for some reason people think we love this show because we think its deep or something, but i dont think most people who like it think that, its just a great cast of characters and very cool action.
Most people don't like this show because it's garbage. You are in the minority here. Also saying this show has a great cast of characters and very cool action shows that you haven't watched a lot of anime in your life.
It’s not deep at all lol but yea it’s good for a show with one season some characters are liked a lot in it. The weapons are very cool and my favorite part.
@@cloudman5788 You're really so desperate to jump on someone that personally likes something about AGK, like literally in every video or comment related to it I see you everywhere lol, did the series actually made you a complete paranoid?
thank you for this video! I have been on the fence whether or not to read the manga, because I was not ready to deal with the feels the anime game me. But thanks to this video, I have to read the manga now! WOOT
i actually like that everyone dies, it makes it more unique. a happy ending would be kinda lame because that's what you would expect, so my rating for the anime would drop by at least 2 points and it wouldn't be my favorite anime, while the way it is now, i always hoped for the character to somehow get out of the situation every single time and was devestated they didn't make it. Also, both the anime but even more the manga including the prequel and sequel do an insanely good job showing that you can't just say night raid are the good guys and yeagers are bad guys, it's far more complicated and everyone could have easily ended up on the other side. What i appreciate most about the manga compared to the anime is the fight between leone and minister honest, since he's just some fat weakling in the anime while he picks up a really good fight in the manga bare-handed versus transformed leone and even forces her to fuse with lionel to finally overpower him, while they really did both of them dirty in the anime
I feel like both Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen handled the dark story matter a lot better than Akame Ga Kill because even though both series are a part of Shonen Jump, the writing feels a lot mature as the character deaths are much more tragic because we got to know them better. And I feel that both Spy x Family and Zom 100 Bucket List of the Dead handled the light hearted humor a lot better than Akame Ga Kill. At least both of those series weren’t meant to be taken seriously and both don’t suffer from tonal whiplash like Akame ga Kill. Plus, there are other anime couples that are way better than Tatsumi x Mine 1. Kaneki x Touka from Tokyo Ghoul 2. Shizuo x Varona from Durarara 3. Loid x Yorfrom Spy x Family 4. Denji x Reze/Asa from Chainsaw Man 5. Akira x Shizuka from Zom 100 6. Inuyasha x Kagome 7. Trevor x Sypha from Castlevania 8. Richter x Annette from Castlevania 9. Howl x Sophie from Howl’s Moving Castle 10. Armin x Annie from Attack on Titan 11. Miroku x Sango from Inuyasha 12. Shikamaru x Temari from Naruto 13. Aki x Himeno from Chainsaw Man 14. Sokka x Suki from Avatar The Last Airbender 15. Akira x Amon from Tokyo Ghoul 16. Nishiki x Kimi from Tokyo Ghoul 17. Kanata x Ciel from Synduality
From my perspective I've seen a lot of anume and it was a good one but the held back his potential a lot for starters his weapon it didn't suit him at all why give him a weapon he's not proficient with a dn spear they should've gave him a bad ass sword and his experience he trained for we barely seen it tbh look closely then you'll see what I mean
100th like/new subscriber here! this is one of my favorite animes and i was a little hesitant to watch the video but i quickly shoulder shrugged it off and your video was absolutely amazing! funny content! i loved the tier list cracked me up seeing your titles “who?” list😂i respected everything that was said
The real reason the anime had that terrible ending. Akame ga kill at the time was a monthly shonen manga with one issue every month and it had only been going on for 2 years combine 2 together and the manga wasn't finished by the time the anime came out. The author exclaimed his hatred for the anime adaptation on twitter, and due to manga fan backlash they decided to end the anime by the first season in a purposeful different direction than the author. In turn making this dogshit ending where they killed off everyone. Also something that's interesting to me after rewatching it it felt like Akame and Tatsumi were a romance like its weird why mine was made tsundere and shoehorned in unlike her manga counterpart. Like she only showed signs of love 1 episode before she died so its weird and you could tell was not planned. I genuinly likled this show until the last 6 episodes and then I was like why even make it. This ending is about as bad as the AOT ending.
Here's a question for you. Do you honestly think that it's only the ending of this show that is bad? Because I noticed issues with this show from the first episode itself.
mine actually didnt die confessing in the manga and instead of tears, brought a big fucking smile to my face Hey atleast onee of the love interests didnt die instead of the anime deciding tatsumi needs to be single
But still, how did they manage to have a kid when Tatsumi never reverted back to his original human form and Mine was in a coma for several months? Even the manga gave no proper explanation to this question.
@@cloudman5788 There's a scene when they started kissing, and then we go straight to another scene occuring somewhere else. This heavily implies that Tatsumi and Mine slept together back then. And this happened shortly before the arc when Tatsumi starts fusing with Incursio and Mine falls into a coma.
