Ruka IS the best girl of the anime and this is exactly why i dropped it Just the way Kazuya treats her is just disgusting to watch. I would honestly be more than happy if he just broke up with her. Not in a dumb dramatic way, but by honestly saying that he doesnt see her as a his girlfriend But no. He keep her around for no fucking reason and constantly being an asshole to her
What??? Ruka is obsessive and has no regard for personal space. Are we forgetting this is the girl who inserted herself into his FAMILY gathering. Are we forgetting this is the girl who got the same job as this guy to stay close to him and even almost got him fired? Kazuya satisfied a want for her and she latched onto it. As you read into the manga, she becomes unbearable, not taking no for an answer when she KNOWS Kazuya likes someone else. If the genders were reversed, everyone would be up in arms about it. Tbh the only best girl in this entire series (speaking as a manga reader) is easily Sumi
@@danielburrell4749 I agree, simply in the fact that *she fucking stalked Kazuya* TO his family gathering! I liked her until that point, even when the more minor red flags started popping up. The clear jump into stalking you to a family get-together sealed the deal that the only women worth rooting for in this series were Sumi and Chizuru. Mami can die in a hole, honestly

Finally someone I can agree with, Kazuya's an idiot and Ruka's best girl. He's already stupid in episode 1, misunderstanding what a "Rental Girlfriend" is, when he ordered one. And his treatment to Ruka is just burning my eyes, Ruka deserves someone better. Ruka's the only one who is willing to be his girlfriend (not rental) without question. Also Chizuru isn't that bad, she is also one of the best girl in the anime. All that aside, great video, a good review of the anime. Hope you continue doing more!
Chizuru is the worst she tells him tell the truth and let's stop this I think about 3 times for sure instead she helps out and have the nerve to get mad at him for was asking for help to look mad.
My thoughts on Rent a GF Positives: I actually like Chizuru, Ruka and Sumi. Also the soundtrack is pretty good. And this anime is at least fun to make fun of. Negatives: pretty much everything else Edit: with the release of season 3. I like Mini Yaemori as well
I had a complex feeling when watching this anime, on the one side I do enjoy watching girls in this anime (Ruka is the best), but then the plot of grandma reminds me of my grandma who passed away 2 yrs ago. I sort of understand Chizuru's feelings. Anyway, would be looking forward to upcoming season next yr.
I don't like Ruka much since she's really annoying to me and would even try to force Kazuya to accept her as her girlfriend, but Kazuya is worse. He just drags her along while being an asshole to everyone around him. In the ned, I view all the characters as either boring or trash

Honestly the anime is good and like you said is intertaning. ^^ but as progression happening in the manga it goes bad to worst for the plot of this story to the point it confused me and shouted through my lungs "YOU CAN'T JUST MILK IT AND RESET THAT PLOT OF THAT ONE ARC" after that I kinda loose hope on this manga. if you want good experience on this manga just stay on Creating movie arc if you want the best experience on this manga.

I'm on Ep 10 and the main character pisses me off. Dude complains about not having a girlfriend and never being able to get a girlfriend and when a girl actually falls for him and he can't stop simping for the girl who doesn't even like him. WTF

I am in puberty, and I watched S1 and S2 of this anime as soon as they came out. I was down bad back then. After what felt like years, S3 releases. Nowadays, I don't feel like a resonate that much with this anime, I didn't really think much of it, I don't really watch anime anymore, and I thought I was just gonna waste my time once again. However, my old weeb friend invited me to his house to watch it. I am happy I went. For some reason, I had such a blast and I am so excited for S4. It's not a great anime, but it's entertaining AF. I am glad everybody roasts it, but in the end, we all have something good to say about it. Whether we like or not.
I first saw the anime and was like “Oh, cool . The MC is a beta but the girls are cute I guess” and then I saw 3 chapters of the manga and it felt like watching paint dry in the ocean. It was agonisingly boring.
And all of this could’ve been avoided if he just said she was his friend when he went to see his grandmother in the hospital. The fact that it stays true to the manga though is hilarious, because it’s also just as terrible if not maybe even worse.

The author only loves Chizuru and hates everyone else. That’s the only reason I can get after the bs he did with Mami and Ruka in the manga, seems like he can’t give any girl a positive trait bc that would make them look better than Chizuru.
This should've been a Pygmalion plot. Kazuya is unattractive to women and he doesn't know why so he rents a girlfriend in order to find out why Chizuru goes into a long list of why they don't until he breaks down into tears. Feeling bad for him, Chizuru decides to be his girl guru and gives him tips and tricks on how to get a girl to like him until she inadvertently starts falling for him herself to her own horror.

ngl i hated this anime at first AND the main character but then season 2 and 3, he literally redeems himself, especially in the 3rd season. and i cant wait for season 4 bro

I don't know what anime you've watched. You can tell that the manga itself is garbage because it only aims at keeping you hanging all the time without ever rewarding you. But in the anime, so far, this is not the issue. the whole point of Kazuya's renting Mizuhara is to improve as a person - Chizuru herself tell him that typically who rents a girlfriend does it with this exact purpose - and he does. yes he is a loser for falling in love with her, but love propels him ahead. Because of it, he quits fapping, works his ass off and produces a movie. how does he not improve ? Even Chizuru starts to have feeling towards him because she notices qualities he didn't show at first. He's hard working, caring, determined and wants her to follow her dream of becoming an actress. He doesn't stay the loser he is at the beginning. Did you expect the anime to break the typical trope of not ever confessing your love in the first 2 seasons, really ? I can see reasons why the show is garbage, but those are not the ones you talk about in the video.

The Angel next door spoils me rotten is WAY better if you want a guy falling in love with the girl next door. This main character is the male version of the female who broke up with him in the first place, they both suck.
If you get dumped or reject by girl 1) change your self 2) do workout 3) go find your hobbies, give your self time 4) after some mental peace try finding other girl again 5) avoid doing same mistake, 6) dont confess directly without a green signal or doing background check of her ( specially not rumours )
