Akatsuki Blitzkampf Ausf Achse: Akatsuki 1cc Playthrough 

You're in the ballpark in terms of story. The game takes place in a alternate version of history with Nazis and members of the Imperial Japanese Army. Akatsuki is a member of the latter group and was protecting what's known as a Blitz Engine when the plane he was in crashed in the Arctic. He returns 50 years later with super powers (Possibly from the same Blitz Engine he was guarding) and just around to do his mission: Protect (and maybe destroy) the Blitz Engine. As for each of the characters... Marilyn Sue: An assassin for Black Hand, a well known Mafia-styled organization. With the Blitz Engine that she stole from Akatsuki, she plans to rise in the ranks Wei: One of the higher-ups in the Black Hand, this assassin is cold blooded... to a degree. After his boss is killed, he searches for the murderer. Kanae: An intelligence officer who is tasked to recover the lost Blitz Engine. Fritz: A former military surgeon who may be an old friend of Akatsuki. Sai: An agent for a computer company that aims to gather all the information in the world by hook or crook. His sunglasses are needed since he could kill you with a stare. Anonym: A member of a church based organtization that targets heretic groups, she's what would happen if you took Noel Vermillion's gun based style and gave it a religious undertone. Elektrosoldat: The mooks of the organization Gessellschaft. They have Blitz Engines in them. Adler: A former officer in an organization that did research of German heritage, he found an ancient city and now uses SCIENCE! to power his ambitions. Mycale: A witch who has played a major role for much of history. Also the winner of the 'Shortest Skirt' award... seriously, how does nothing show? Perfecti: Alternate reality version of Mycale Blitztank: Uh.. it's a tank with a Blitz Engine in it. It may have been a man at one time... Murakumo: The final boss... AKA Akatsuki-Zero. A former military officer who got in touch with Perfecti Kyoudan, which was the basis of Gessellschaft. He's also implied to be the one to nearly kill Akatsuki and place clones of himself in the Japanese Army and the Triads so he can control them.
