The idea is great and I'm going to get one but I hope they continue to work on it and come up with new versions that has infrared for better night time driving bump up the resolution a little bit so you can see the plates on the vehicle in front of you and I wish it had Wi-Fi so I can download the videos straight to my phone instead going to an SD card
Sorry I am not so optimistic with this product or review. With the lens pointing down, the other axis is supposed to be 225 degrees. If moved forward enough to get traffic signals, it cuts off the heads of passengers. The 1920x1920 is before the stretching is done to correct the perspective and by the time it is corrected, the quality is pretty low. Not enough to read a tag. Save yourself some grief by getting a 3 or 4 camera setup with dedicated cameras for each area. This is a good idea that need an 8MP camera for the 360 cam in order to capture the detail needed. The problem with that is 8MP video takes a lot of processing power and space this doesn't have.

Did you REALLY check the GPS coordinates? Or just click on that (-) button from the GPS module in Vego Viewer until you'll see where your car is positioned: most probably somewhere in central Asia... 😵💫😆. Bad night inside view (no IR, cheap sensor). Too much glare in night outside views from the headlamps and any other stronger outside lights. Screen brightness too weak for a sunny day to use it as rear mirror. Bottom line after a couple of months using this, good concept, device and software, but both work fine just in several situations. I also got the last firmware update (20220301) from their support, and still none of these issues were fixed. Bottom of the bottom line: sorry, you are just a reseller like most of the dashcams reviewers.
it has only one side camera. be careful, they have little information about the side camera. which is really annoying when i received the product. i was expecting two sides camera. i asked for a return and refund and they said nop! and now i have to do a dispute.
Your doing some great videos man! Hey it seems like the rear view camera of this kit is not very good at night....but I was wondering, is your rear window tinted? Is that why it seems like it's not very good? I have no back window so trying to find a great exterior setup that I can watch all the time for rear view and backing up, good at night, etc. Wondering your thoughts on that since you've used so many systems.
appreciate it! My rear window is not tinted, if you want slightly better quality at night you should mount it about your license plate. All of these rear cams struggle at night due to the small sensor size
@@TheJabberTech yeah, I wish someone would make a setup that can be pieced together so I could get a good exterior 4k cam for the rear that has good night view and a big display to watch, that's all I want. Pros & Cons this dash cam has in MY opinion. Pros: 1). 360° camera. Cons: 1.) 30fps 2). Only has one side camera🤦♂️ 3). The black side camera looks hideous compared to the silver one.🤮
The black ones are usually placed underneath the side mirrors and can be used on either side of the car, but the silver one is only for the left side. Placing it on the right side the image will be upside down with no way to change the image in the main unit.
@@twospirits411 umm no chet I know how to & where to mount them, i make videos of dashcams myself, but if you would take the time to understand what you've read you would probably get the point....maybe.
@@dominicfrost8627 I don't get your responce. I'm basically agreeing. I prefer the silver one. But if one were to get an additional silver cam for the right side, the image will be upside down. Therefore one is forced getting another black one and yeah they are not the nicest looking, but since the are placed underneath its less noticeable. Sorry if you thought I was questioning your modding capabilities. It's just an observation I notice of the video.
i know and they are not worth 250 buck just for the 1080p 360° camera which is only in cabin. their website has a little information about the side camera (if you dont scroll around you wont find it) i was so disappointed when i ordered it because it has only one side view camera. and when i asked for a return and a refund they refused it. even tho i did not install it.
@@reozeta2500 The rear cameras (both the internal normal one and the weatherproof outside one is using the Sony IMX307 sensor at 1080 x 1080 @25fps, although on their website it says 1920 x 1080. The 360 internal one is using a Sony IMX335 1920 x 1920 @30fps. The side view cameras unfortunately I can't find any info of which sensor they use but they are 1920 x 1080P @25fps
