We playthrough Akimbot's introductory experience and upcoming Steam Next Fest demo.
In this 3D, action-adventure platformer, play as Exe, an outlaw robot with his unexpected sidekick, Shipset, as you blast your way through armies of robots, control spaceships and forge your own path on a mission to save the universe from impending doom! Set in a sci-fi world where only robots exist, travel the galaxy and experience non-stop robot mayhem and explosive action!

The combat and platforming looks decent but the characters and attempts of comedy make it less appealing. I miss how the first 3 R&C games kind of reflected the sense of humour of the cartoons I'd see on TV at the time. A bit edgy, sarcastic, satirical, but not tryhard. It didn't feel like the creators were trying to appeal directly to what they thought kids wanted to see. They felt like passion-projects of the creators. Oozing personality instead of copy and pasting the same "quirky" line deliveries.

I get the criticism on the dialogue, but it's a bit more tolerable than I was expecting and pretty much everything else seems good

Sorry this just doesn't work for me .. Neither character or indeed any robot in it has any facial expression at all and even the different genders look identical to each other.. Shipsets (horrible name) voice is just irritating and annoying and a whole game with just artificial intelligent robots completely removes any feelings we might have for anybody in it.. humans need lifeforms to connect to... Sorry but this game feels just Soulless.. Would be a Great game if you were a Toaster.
