Toriyama is the Micheal Jackson of the manga & anime world. Definitely made a tremendous impact in this generation and previous generations. Without him many other great manga’s & anime’s like Naruto, Bleach, YuYu, etc wouldn’t be here. He definitely made act impact on my childhood.
Can't count bleach it came out not to long after dbz but Akira will never be forgotten. He is known around the whole world. He is a huge reason we love anime and manga. I learned some things myself from dbz by never giving up and fight when I must. Help those who cannot help themselves. Rip 🙏
@@garyfunderburk7233 you can count bleach it came out in 2001 it’s apart of the big 3 dragonball came out in 1984 and laid the blueprint for modern shounen (time skips, transformations, tournament arcs etc) dragonball started a lot of the tropes
@@devantewinston4865true tho the other two mangas came out during the 90s an that's the decade DBZ ended , which is why he said that , plus yuyu better than bleach.
@@lrobertsjr1982 I mean they can cook without agenda it’s just if they choose to or not I mean infinity war no way home even the Deadpool movie is about to be good or guardians 3 just depends on if they want to make money or not because they can always get a tax cut for failures
Akira will be missed dragonball is what got me into boxing and working out at 9 years old seeing all these characters and masculine father figures made me wish i had my dad in my life that's why I love when vegeta said strength is the only thing that matters in this world everything else is just a delusion for the weak💫🐉
Toriyama might be gone but he will continue to be a part of us he won't be forgotten, loved dbz as a kid love dbz now as an adult. Long live the legend... rest in the otherworld with king Yema watching over us. Until we meet again R.I.P.
The man was a legend in his own right. He gave us some of the most iconic characters and, moments in history. In our community some looked at piccolo as a father figure he will be missed and loved by the masses.
Hearing Akira Toriyama passed away shocked me to the core. I enjoyed Dragon Ball for than any anime. He'll be forever missed. I took reference from the series too.
It’s amazing how even people who usually don’t talk about dragon ball on their channel are making videos honoring Toriyama. Really shows the impact he had on all of us.
Thanks for sharing AM. I’ll never forget the first time experiencing the story of Dragon Ball through Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. Good times playing as a kid.😞
As a hispanic man. I love DBZ. It wasn't until I heard from a few black DBZ fans on why they love the character of Goku primarily and 2nd vegeta. The phrase was "Goku always being the underdog and standing tall on business and protecting his friends and family. That is the black man struggle. Over coming obstacles, trying to achieve and unlock our hidden potential....when everyone sees you down we can understand the saiyan struggle of their pride" It just made my respect of DBZ way more and saw the plight of our Black Brothers of when the chips are down you unlock the next level. Truly a sad day for all fans.
Let’s talk about it Mr Akira definitely a goat definitely a Legend definitely a Icon my Allah grant him Jennah (heaven) Ameen soo many awesome childhood memories mane I remember running frm the school bus to catch DBz mane ain’t gone lie this one hit different prayers out to him and his Family Ameen
Toriyama is the reason the world watches anime he paved the way for so many other that followed in his footsteps without him.and his series and the countless series he worked on or inspired the world today would be a much different place for so many of us. He unknowingly helped so many form lifelong bonds, overcome shortcomings and inspired so many to achieve greatness so many generations and many more to come were raised by this man through his series rest in peace 🙏
I'm 46 and this hit home with me and you eloquently spoke well about it. I'll watch anime over anything because of the stories.Way better plots. Thank you for talking about it
That man saved a whole generation of black males from giving in to gangs and drug violence. If you run into any Gen X black man who is making it in this world, is a good and involved father, or has kept their passion from childhood. We all have something in common. Our admiration for Goku
*We thank our Lord Jesus for receiving our brother Akira Toriyama. May he find eternal joy and peace.Forever in our Hearts and Minds.* *In Jesus name Amen.*
this hurt pretty much almost everyone across the world. That alone is telling everyone that anime brings people together. I legit broke down twice at work because i deep down i know i cannot meet him in this world to thank him for all of the work he has done and inspired me to write and draw my own manga. Everyone, remember what he told us at the end of the cell saga. "Live your life to the fullest, I will see you when you are done." Rest well with king kai, we will be with you when our time comes
It's crazy how one man can make so many others so happy rest in peace! Dragon Ball Z was the only thing I had to look forward to whether that be talking with friends drawings or catching it on cartoon Network at a friend's house even when I didn't have lights
Always remember these words: Work hard Study well And eat n sleep plenty You must master the art of peace, in addition to the art of war. THAT IS THE TURTLE HERMIT WAY-GOD FATHER😢😢😢
Definitely more than a cartoon, DBZ symbolized the greatest good vs. evil battle; iconic moments and character development and watching the characters grow up was a huge thing for me. Your example with Goku/Chichi is what was Gohan/Videl for me, I was a kid when I first saw Gohan as a child headbutt Raditz and seeing him grow up alongside in my high school. Truly a great explanation as to the impact the story had.
He will be greatly missed, I first watched Dragon when I was stationed in Okinawa Japan in the late 70's and was blown away and was hooked ever since. And when it final got stateside I've followed it all the way through athe return of Brolly, I've watch Gohan grow up, I've seen when Trunks made his debut, it is just heartbreaking not knowing what the series is going to be from this point forward.
7:03 I feel you with that AM gohan is my favorite character in the series being a timid kid to a teen to an adult, especially with the development gohan has made now dbz really helped me with standing up for myself
R.i.p to the best thing to animation period your art is not only inspirational its means alot to everyone your dream and passion will live on to next generation and to those who inspire by your great works

I understand what you’re saying completely there were moments in Dragonball & Dragonball Z that made you feel the moment. When Goku showed up on Namek and the look in Gohan’s eyes you had to feel that!
Dragon ball z was the first animes I ever seen. On a early morning sitting with my two older brothers. This anime was a event in my household, inspired us to draw, inspired my brothers to push themselves , The character I grew up this was Gohan I related so much to him, Rest in power Akira Toriyama-san
Hi, It was heart breaking to hear and see the news on IG that he had died. I actually cried. I know that doesn't sound manly but, he had an impact on my life when I was a young teenager and young adult. I even watched Super once it was on Crunchy roll. I loved it the animation was amazing!!!. Thank you Akira Toriyama; Thank you Angry man for taking about it also, peace!
First Steve Irwin, then Kobe, and now Toriyama... It's official, all my childhood heros are dead and all were taken too soon 🙏🏽🕊 It's crazy how 3 people I never even had the chance to speak with could cause this much feeling of loss 💯 🙁😞😥
I'm with you, my brother. From dragon ball dragon ball z dragon ball GT dragon ball. Super dragon ball super heroes and all the filler movies in between one of the best anime's, in my opinion, as well as yours.
I watched Dragonball/ Dragonball z my whole life. Goku was one of the greatest heroes ever written. Goku was the one who inspired me to grind in the gym. Akira toriyama him being gone things won't be the same anymore. All of the legends are starting to die out now.
I was hoping you were gonna speak on his passing since you talk about amine sometimes. DBZ was a major part of my teen years in the 90's Got me into watching anime
He made my childhood great. I was watching dragon Ball when it was just dragon Ball. That was really in the early '90s late '80s. And I was watching that English dub. Rest in peace a legend
One of the greatest shows of all time. Dragon Ball was not only good but inspirational and even united people no matter their background. Rip Akira Toriyama
Anime especially the GOOD one's have you so invested in the characters. When Goku first went Super Sayion, I lost my damn mind as a teenager. When Gohan surpassed Goku verus Cell and Gohan snapped, I lost my damn mind. I was reading the Manga since i was 14 and I am 51 years feeling like a loss someone close to me.
Toriyama share with all of us the best time of our life and to understand the soul that want to fly together so we can open up heaven door for the Dragon Ball Z Kingdom that Real bless from Chaosdream energy throughout the universe
It's a Sad Day. Akira Sensi Actually Did a Lot for a Lot of communities with Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball Z was a Part of a Lot of Kids lives. It helped Us Grow and Develop from Boys to Men. The Motivation. THE Hard Times. Dragon Ball was more than just a Anime Cartoon. It was an anime about Life.
"DRAGONBALL Z" was never My thing. Though I was a fan of Anime since The late 60s, it was always considered one of those very Geeky/Nerdy Niche things outside of Comics, "STAR TREK", "STAR WARS", etc. But "DRAGONBALL" hit this country like a tidal wave during the early 90s (if not a few years before). I didn't pay attention until a lot of My Oregon Peeps hipped Me to it when I worked in Comics (Darkhorse and its Stores) for a stretch. And when I started hitting Comic Book Conventions again in PDX, then back in NYC. And to see over the decades the many Black Fans "DRAGONBALL" gained, was a site in itself. Haven't seen this much Black emotional outpouring for an Asian Cultural Icon since Bruce Lee. And a lot of US cried over the latter's death (I being one of them). Goes to show you that no matter what Culture it originates from, Art, in its various forms will always extend past (practically) ALL Boundaries.
