The japnese version is always more expressive because of the words and the pronounciations of these words. Most asian languages tend to put more impact in certain places of the words, tend to streach the vowels like I am indian and speak hindi and the pronounciations are close. While english or Western language the "D" or "T" are powerful but the vowels are quick and words are small. So overall it's less impactful
The French voice actor for Akko is also Twilight Sparkle voice, I think she suits her really well, here's a little bit of nostalgia for my fellow French fans
0:18 Japenese: 授業 "jugyou" 1:57 Spanish: clases 2:46 French: cours 3:36 German: Unterricht 4:25 Italian: lezione 5:14 Portugese: aulas 6:03 Polish: zajęcia 6:53 Turkish: derse (girmek?) All these mean "classes" or take part in class. Sorry if I butchered some of these. 1:08 English: Let's go O_o
I'm currently watching the Spanish dub and I actually really like Akko's voice. It has this slightly lower/raspy quality to it but when she laughs or screams it goes 0-100 in pitch and just SQUEAKS. I think it's adorable.
Diferente acento, uso de palabras,etc... El Español Latino es mas facil de entender ya que raramente usa modismos, mientras que los doblajes de España lo usan bastante
I'm Italian, but I think her Italian VA is reaaaaally basic. It's a really common voice, without any particolaur emotion in it. That's just my opinion, peace
@@TheLifeLaVita is true, i am Italian and the dub are very good. If you want search Maurizio merluzzo I dubbed a lot of anime like demon slayer and some other vary famous
When French dub makes you listen to the same voice actors in every goddamn anime since 10 years because there are only like 20 VA's. (French VA also does Lucy in Fairy Tail and a bunch of other female leading characters)
In 90's and early 00's polish dubbing was great. Then something happened and it was terrible. Now I think they put more effort in it again. That's why it's good
Almost every language (except Turkey) other than English can accurately portray Akko's enthusiasm (going beyond 1 short giggle and actually sounding happy). But, the problem is that most of them sound like a 40 year old woman. So, English has the youth, but not the spunk. Interestingly, German was the only one who had Akko cry out when she impacted the ground in the broom race.
german dub masterrace, which is because of the Nazis, i do not make that up right now. It is indeed a fact that the hatred for the english language lead to a high quality of dubbing. (When there is a war in your country, the people need a distraction and what would be the best way to deliver that? Perfectly dubbed movies!) Short History lession about german Nazi-dub. I love this fact.
The "Yay" and little giggle Akko does in the Japanese version makes it the best dub. The VA genuinely sounds like they're enjoying their job which is surprisingly rare.
German has very good voices! :-) Klaus-Dieter Klebsch for example is the german voice of Thanos, Lord Garmadon and Yami Marik for example. Then we have Paulina Rümmelein with her angel-like voice. She is the german voice of One Piece Carrot! :-) But it seems that the One Piece Dub (we are at Zou) have many haters in my country! :-3
I don't know about german dubs, but the spanish Akko was voiced by an anime fan that has her own youtube channel and goes to anime conventions to recreate scenes from L.W.A. with her voice. She is very friendly and beautiful (for a girl in her 30's).
Bigtoenails Actually in the part where she usually speaks about her uniform she speaks about her nails in german, which in my opinion is even better since she looks at them. Otherwise the german dub isnt bad in quality terms, but the german she speaks is this standard series german which no human would use like that, which gets kind of annoying if you ask me.
Bigtoenails latin american dubs will always be the second best bud, obviously next to the original Japanese dubs. Ok seriously, almost every Dub here is as good as the original.
@Atsuko it is used but not with so much passion on the words... that goes for all languages, but if you think about it we are comparing super happy girl or man with boring people like me or people who conquering the worlds on anime with people like me who wake up now and can't even speak for example
Yeah, I get that. But anime characters tend to talk a lot more direct, and less polite then would be expected of normal Japanese. And Japanese is huge on how you say the words, you can change an entire word just by how you pronounce it.
>Portuguese written as Portugese in the video >Portugal's flag >It's actully Brazilian portuguese Annnnnnnnd I must be the 56th annoying person pointing this out. I'll leave, sorry
You are the first one in the comment section saying that "Portuguese" was spelled incorrectly in the video. But yes, you were like the 56th person to point out the flag.
In most shows when i hear a non english voice for a character I always think "That does not sound like what that character would sound." but for Akko everyone sounds like what Akko would sound like. Also, why is it that we all agree on what a duck sounds like but none of us can agree on what sound a frog makes?
My opinion 1.- Latin spanish: It has good nuances but sounds a little hoarse even with that their squeak are adorable. 2.- Italian: A magnificent and very energetic actuation puts the heart the actress. 3.- French: The actress had the mojo high that day. It's funny :^D The worst: English/Turkish
She litery yell "hooray" it not as much used in English but Its common saluting shout in most slavic languages which can be also used to express happiness, Russians are famous to yell it every year on there march :p
You know I wasn't too big on how German akko was all that cracked up to be in the comment section until she started doing her frog impression that was very cute
I know right? Everyone gets offended by everything nowadays (no, not saying R4dioS1lence was offended, just saying in general). I was going to point out that it's brasillian myself until I saw this comment xD They should just call it brasillian by now since they use many many words differently than the portuguese, giving completely different meanings to sentences. It's a pain to look for actual portuguese subtitles so my parents can watch a show (they only speak portuguese) because brasillian pops-up everyone instead >_>
portugal only has a handful of VAs and as a portuguese, it pisses me off also, the portuguese dub of the video is from brazil. hence the better quality
Y'know, I know the Polish voice actor from somewhere. I did a little research and found out it was Zuzanna Galia who voices her so I decided to find out who else she voiced. She voiced Ginny Weasley but I know this is not where I heard her first. SO... Maybe Alex & Co? But then I looked deeper... AND I FOUND OUT SHE VOICES STELLA FROM WINX CLUB. THAT'S WHERE I KNOW HER FROM.
Japanese is the version that I first saw when I came into contact with this animation, which impressed me most, but now it seems that other language versions of Akko are also great.
Obviously Japanese is the best but I think it's really interesting to see the German version since it's my own language, but she sounds way too mature, still adorable af. The English one is the second best in my opinion, I just noticed but the English Dub seems to be mostly awesome for Anime.
Coffee Pot the voice actors are annoying, most american voice actors act as if anime is made for little children. Its just a kind of different that i dont like
Young Wikid i really liked the english dub. That's how I watched it originally so I guess I'm biased, but yea I thought they did a gokd job. Diana and Andrew's VAs were the best
I grew up in a Turkish speaking household and couldn't tell that anything was wrong with Yakko's voice until I scrolled down to the comments. Then I remembered that I grew up with my Grandparents.
