Thanks for sharing! Which silent switch do you like the most in regarding „mushiness“? U4 are the most silent I know so far. But they are mushy (and too heavy due its tactility and spring weight combined).

The best was definitely the Akko Fairy (though it's linear). Also Feker has a patented solution where tey eliminated the silicon dampener completely (like the Aphonia switches) - some manufacturers now feature this solution as well. So absolutely no mushiness (just some scratchiness :)) From tactiles this and the Outemu Yellow Jades are great!

Why do switches come in such weird pack amounts? These are in 45-pack, but still requires me to buy 2 packs to even fill out a TKL.

Also in the US with shipping, the cost of the Akko Penguins come to $0.43 each, being more than 15% more expensive than the Gamakay Pegasus being $0.37 each.

Yeah, it's always a struggle. 2x45 is way more for a 65%, but still not enough for a full-size. 2x35 is just enough for a 65%, but just not enough for a TKL. The same goes for 1x70, 1x80, 1x90. - Maybe the best is to offer them in 10pcs packs. :) Also shipping and customs make a huge difference in prices. For me, both are above $0.60 incl. customs+shipping..

yeah lol i had to buy 3 packs for my 96%/1800 keyboard. now i'll have about 35 switches too much. low key feel like they do this to make more money lol

Because they want you to buy extra packs so you end up with the few extra switches you needed, but with loads of unnecessary ones leftover. Money.

Hrmm. Odd that you say the outemus are "a bit pricier". Availability in the US it's quite the opposite, the Outemus start at half the price, and get as low as a third in sales. Makes sense as Akko has their markup and these seem to have better stock lube.

Less poppy, the silicon can be felt a bit here. Regarding tactility they're similar, not tiring even after a long time.

I work as a web developer and in my free time I like to play games, would you recommend these silent switches for my gaming keyboard or for typing? (From Brazil)

they are not really short-travel switches, so if you go for the peek performance they're not for gaming (though the difference is minimal in real life) otherwise they're pleasant for any use case (especially if you work in a quiet office environment, but would like to enjoy tactile switches)

The Fairies were noticeably quieter (than any other switch that I've tried, including these).

silicon dampeners make the switches feel mushy and far less satisfying than normal ones, i thought this method would be dropped but companies still keep pumping these out, interesting.

Usually I feel the same, but the Fairy and the Penguin have much less of this mushy-ness than the previous ones (like the Haze Pink e.g.). And the top-out sound elimination is easiest to be solved this way. But more innovations like the one used in the Feker Aphonia and the Cidoo Silent Blue switches would be really welcomed and appreciated! (I mean the stem-leg dampener style)
