The Guin people are waiting for the sacred stone, the Aklima tam-tam sets the tone
In a few days, the Guin people will enter a new year, the 362nd according to their lunar calendar of 13 months and 28 days.
The sacred stone marks the apotheosis of the various preparatory ceremonies for the Guin New Year.
This August 29, 2024 is the 361st edition of the Guin pilgrimage. Early this morning, on the banks of the Lolan royal palace (the Akagban community, LAWSON) the start is given by the Aklima tam-tam to announce the good news to Glidji Kpodji, the place of pilgrimage.
This tam-tam will resonate in Glidji Kpodji to lift the prohibitions that have hung over the Guin people since the Situtu ceremony (purification).
Aklima leaves the house Lawson Gbadjavi takes the blessing of the prince regent of lalan Latévi Adodjégoun LAWSON-BODY.
In the course of Aklima, corn seeds (prepared) are thrown into the lagoon.
The festivities of Epé-EKpé (the meeting of two years, the old and the new) start at the pilgrimage site of Glidji Kpodji.
