Honestly He Is As Close As It Gets When You Compare A Live Performance From The Actually Edited Track There Isnt Much Of A Difference. He's A Great Singer.
It sucks that we had this image all the way in the 2000's. This is why racism has returned in the 2010's. Hopefully African Americans will want Gospel performances and soul, jazzy music to come back. Clean music as well. No more "Nigga" or "Niggas." No more "bitches" and "hoes." Back to "brothers" or "brothas." "Sista" or "sisters."
I understand what you're saying, I personally know the head sound engineer at one of the biggest sound company's in both America (he's done tours for brad paisley, the rolling stones, Taylor swift, kiss, you name it.) And based off things he's said (and my personal experience being on stage) the person doing sound may not have set it up for him to sound his best. It could also be the monitor engineer having it set so that he couldn't hear himself properly making him sound bad.
