In this video, the New Bike Build Series 2019 Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory gets a new full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system installed and ECU flash. And yes, there are a number of great sounding dyno pulls! The motorcycle sounded excellent before--and made great power--but after this install and generic Openflash Performance ECU flash, the exhaust note is even sweeter and we gained horsepower as well. As soon as a refined Openflash Performance ECU flash is available for this motorcycle we will have it installed and tuned for even greater power gains!

All the modern super bikes are already in a high state of tune, gains from exhausts and fuel mapping are never massive, but a proper fuelling setup will probably gain another couple HP and more importantly smooth out the throttle - which is already bloody good on the Aprilia. Lovely bike !

I know this vid is about the Aprilia today but yesterday i got to ride my buddys V4 and it's AMAZING!!!! Coming from a 2013 R1 and I must say I get why you love that bike. Clutchless shifting up and down, it felt so light and flickable like a 600 but took off like a rocket and I wasn't even goosing it 100% full throttle since it wasn't my bike. You can tell its a fast ass bike.

As he said it's just a basic flash with a basic tune already on it right now because that's all that's available. There's probably gonna be significant gains once they get into fine tuning with an open flash (when it's released).

They still needs to install the filter and do the tune.5 to 10 hp gains is typical without a custom tune.And that's for all bikes.plus it was a 4th gear pull which typically shows lower numbers than 5th gear

Some people are surprised the gains aren't bigger ....ALL 1000cc super bikes are already highly tuned with great gass flow, the days of big gains from just a pipe are long gone, 5 to 10 HP is the most you get, but you do get a weight saving too & the looks & sound. Personally I just go for the end can on modern bikes like the RSV4 as this removes the CAT and gives just as much power increase for 1/3 the money - the bike is also brand new - get 1000 miles on it and it will loosen up & you'll see over 190. PS The Aprilia / Akra race map is generally as good as any OFT flash !

Great video as usual. I must say I thought with the new exhaust it would have a deeper tone. At high rpm it sounds like a Suzuki lol. That 6 hp though is nice. Can’t wait to see how much more you can squeeze out of it.

Agree cost of the pipe plus installation and reflashing the ecu is not worth it for 6 hp. You would hardly feel the difference. I guess it’s lighter and louder if that’s your thing.

The stock Akrapovic sounds so good. Not sure why you'd need to change it. Definitely not for more horsepower. From what people say, the throttle is really smooth from the factory. I can understand why you'd upgrade the BMW, but I think you did this because "650ib doesn't ride on stock exhaust and ECU"

I thought about uppgrading my MT10. New exhaust airfilter and new fuel mapping. Maybe I would get around 10hp more for almost 2k but how fast do you " wear out" the wow feeling for that? Like one week and then you can ask your self what is Worth it? I Went another route. I bought a dualsport who has 48 hp and after a week riding that in the forrest and on the gravel roads the MT10 feels amazing. I feel that was realy a good descision to make a end for the faster faster more more desease wich probably would not end well both finace wise and risk wise.

They have not finetuned it yet as its a waste of time before the airfilter is installed. I guess it will hit 195 whp after fonetuning.

Mods on naturally aspirated engines are always a lot of money for very little gain. At the end of the day most people fit aftermarket exhausts because they look and sound cool more than anything.

@@BigUriel that's exactly it - unless you're actually racing, none of this actually matters. I have a 2019 Tuono Factory, and I'm just going with the slipon option for better looks and sound and putting the rest of the money saved (vs getting a full system) into more trackdays or even forged wheels. Power is pretty irrelevant.
