@@pyscho86 "everyone".... The characters that have a lower play rate don't have any great win rate btw. It would be more apparent if Tekken ever went harder on E-sports and did leagues and plenty of matches every weekend. It's ok if you only watch tournaments and play the game briefly but you're missing a lot of elements here.
Also, it's hilarious that Why switched to the "cheaters" skin on Akuma. There was a reasonable rant pointed out by Aris. Akuma's tassels flip around and flutter. (edit: It was seen feinting out Knee)
That hellsweep of lars is NOT AT ALL easy to step. If you do it from stance then it is easily walkable but not the f,f version. That one tracks even SWR quite nicely (you gotta step quite early to avoid it).
One of the weakest (if not the weakest) characters, beats one of the most broken (if not the most broken) characters in the game. Now as a lars main I dont really care if lars is weak. Its just the connection that I have with him inspires me to play him. The frames, or the risky lows, or low defesive options, or the nerf from T6, or even the tier list doesnt matter to me. Im suprised he even won though seriously🤯
@@atlante4368 He was significantly nerfed from Tekken 6 and tag 2 when Tekken 7 came out. He's just been at the bottom of the tier list. But after season 4 came out he went up the tier list more than any other season. I just wish he would get his much needed buffs #bufflars
Homie really switched to the skin that's literally viewed as a cheat skin in the final match lol. but he is playing Akuma so....in for a penny, in for a pound.
@@zenymolly it disorients some of Akuma's movesets (like his Demon flip) and makes it that even some High level players like Knee can't react or see what's going on.
Tier-list dictates choice, 'weak' characters are not picked and played against, matchup becomes less known. And then the dedication to play well as a 'weak' character becomes the decisive factor for showing strong play.
No it doesn't. Tier list just shows which characters have the best tools in the entire game compared to others. People are gonna play whoever they want regardless of tier list. For example.. Jeondings lucky Chloe. Or Rangchus panda... Both characters are weak compared the top 10. In this case, the akuma player wasn't one of the best while the lars was playing almost perfectly. Lars could never beat akuma if both players were of the same skill. He has TOO many launch punishable lows, while akuma has too many safe 50/50 options with a low combo starter that can be made safe. There's no comparison really
he isn't top tier...this match just proves, Mob was a better player, that's it, nothing to do with Lars specifically, Akuma is still a better character, nobody can dispute it, as much as I hate Akuma.
@@TheMrDarkol same! Lars is a HUGE PROBLEM for me too! I dont know why but for me, those "low tiers" is way harder to handle than those mid and top tiers.
As someone who has gigas as their 2nd main, he is definitely a hidden gem. Even K-Wiss said that he is actually a solid mid tier now but still has the stigma of being low tier.
True, any character can win a match, but there is some truth to tier lists. When it comes to Lars there is a lot of truth that he is a very weak character.
Yes but with a game like Tekken we have very detailed information about characters to the point where we can say "Character A has much better tools than Character B" objectively.
IMO character design does a whole lot to determine strength. My Hwoarang does way better than Jin/Devil Jin even though they are said to be better, but Hwoa just has easier tools for casuals. Although don't count out tier lists, it's good to have at least a little bit of salt intake rather than none.
LMG_Mob is from my home city of Chelyabinsk, a beautiful industrial shithole in the middle of nowhere. It's mindblowing to know that my city will be represented on the main stage of EVO in fucking Las Vegas. Very cool.
Good. Lars could be a centre stage character. If he wasn't nerfed so much, he would be competitive. As he stands, its a big uphill battle in most games.
14:24 I really don't like this Akuma, because Akuma in SF4 is not invincible after do the FADC. The only time Akuma is invincible is when he do raw focus attack, although he can only absorb one attack, and some moves in original game can break focus attack. So yeah, Akuma is OP in Tekken
MOB was just a better play that day, nothing to do with tiers, Akuma is STILL a better character than Lars by a mile, but on this specific day, Mob just played better.
You don't have to believe in tier list when it comes to Tekken chars, Akuma ain't Tekken.. His downjab is faster than your fastest mid poke, safe, high crushes, gives full combo.. It's about common sense he's broken
Incorrect.. you can't defend against akuma cause his down jab gives a full combo and is faster than your df1, he also has combo off his jab.. The Lars player won cause he's way better as a player, that's it.. Super serious akuma would stomp him into the dirt
14:19 In Ultra Street Fighter 4 there's this thing called FADC(Focus Attack Dash Cancel), a focus atack have armor properties in USF4, however, if you do an FADC but hold the Focus instead of dashing, you lose your armor properties(it only has armor when done raw). So Akuma keeping his armor in Tekken seems EXTREMELY broken to me. Other than that, I'm not that big of a Tekken play to say if he is OP or not.
The reason Eu players bitch soo much about tier lists is the reason they are behind korean, American and Pakistani players. But this large is a slap on all their faces. Truely a God♥️❤️
Explain why knee complains about akuma? Arguably the greatest player in tekken's history.. If he says that akuma is broken then bad players like yourself should be quiet
It's only "high execution" if you're not a street fighter player. For veteran SF players, Akumas combos in this game is hilariously easy compared to the insanely faster, much more frame tight animation and commands in street fighters history. Likewise, defending against Akuma is much easier in this game because soooo much slower and his bread and butters are the same as sf4, so it's easy to understand what to look for if you're well versed in sf and how to make him pay.
@@SzyszuPL so just cause he requires execution means that he's allowed to completely break the rules and kill off a down jab and a jab? also none denies he's difficult.. However, you nearly never see that kazuyas punish -13 on block with ewgf in tournaments while you see akumas D3 into combos all the time.. Broken character that breaks the rules:)
May Akuma die and never return in the next Tekken. Ridiculous character. What will be the next? Goku with ultra instinct? Scorpion or Sub zero from MK? 😅 Would be insane with Goku, but would undoubtely end up being the most busted character in Tekken History 😂
Ofc that akuma is OP, if his dikjab is safe, gives a full combo and is faster than your df1 then something is wrong.. Yet you haven't talked about it enough
