Interesting kwiss was the dude coaching joker mid set. Kwiss has more or less had super akouma’s number in their icfc matches, i think he probably has some insight into Super Akouma’s playstyle that most people are missing out on
I love these tournament analysing and commentating type of videos, you give great insights into the game and I catch many subtle points to improve my tekken thanks to you, really appreciate it!
For some reason, every time Joka and superakouma fight, they bring out the absolute best in each other, every match is right down to the wire, with crazy plays and high drama coming from both sides Rivalry of the year.
That was just sick. The finals couldn't get any more intense, and the tournament in general was super hype as well. And having 3 EU players in top 3 just shows how good EU has become lately. A few years ago people have been laughing at EU, and now EU is a force to be reckoned with. Grats Joka!
My i was routing for JOKA so bad ( cuz i m heihachi main ), fck he finally proved that hei is also for tournaments unlike many pros are rejecting hei for no reasons
This doesn't really prove that Hei is good for tournaments though 😅 But Hei is decent vs Akuma. Back then when Rangchu won with Panda, it didn't mean Panda was suddenly great for tournaments. Tier lists do matter to some extent, but at the end of the day it depends on the players and how well they perform during that match. Joka was just better that day and that's it.
Joka is no joke! I watched this live and just knew TMM would have to give a reaction of Heihachi winning over Akuma. I really think Joka is going to really keep improving even further from here. I've been so impressed with all of his performances I've seen this year, he is so solid. I like his Feng but love his Heihachi! Maybe this single victory will give the iron grampa a slot on Tekken 8
Bro no way Mid tier Heihachi just beat an arguably top 3 broken Akuma!! I hope this inspires more players to use their OG characters again. What a win. Great content by TMM.
@@disruptor6550 can’t disagree with you man. It’s amazing this game been out all this time and we still get great tournaments like this. I really hope I’m tekken 8 the characters will be more balanced. Characters like Eddie, Yoshi, Kazuya, Hwo etc get more love.
@@disruptor6550 akuma is pretty overrated. without meter hes pretty dogshit and has little moveset. With meter he is a beast if you have perfect execution, but nobody does not even super akuma which is why “on paper” means nothing. Because nobody can execute said paper perfectly and constistently. Even if you are perfect with execution, his meter build up is quite slow. Super akuma never competes with the asians
I know Akuma is broken but I love the audacity of the chat going "Haha get destroyed scrub" when akuma loses and "omg akuma so broken hüüüü" when akuma wins
That utility on f4 to keep him on the ground was insane!!! This Finals are educational, interms of strats I think hei's f4 is also there for akuma jumps, hiden anti air, to me atleast. WP both Congratz to Joka,a very inspiering player. Great comentary
the difference between joka’s heihachi and jdcr’s heihachi is nuts ong while joka shows us the craziest sides on while being bent towards aggressive gamestyle jdcr shows us the best heihachi can get in any situation in other words jdcr plays heihachi till he is at the limit as a character but joka shows us the creative side
Yeah this is the problem, JDCR thinks you can only play Korean style and win and he writes off Hei on this principle. He doesn't embrace the party/risky side of Hei. Hei himself is generally underrated on tier lists because of this same philosophy (unsafe lows = useless). Hei only needs a lifelead and in theory his lows can go out the window, and only one d4 is needed to gain that lead ;)
@@user-wg1gd5gg7s exactly you need to sometimes take high risks for higher rewards uk hei is a character which when played with creativity can dominate anyone legit ANYONE but if you limit him w playing safe (prolly cuz he actually is the hardest character to main in this game) you can still dominate people but the chances of you losing rises atleast 10 folds
I don't dislike Super Akouma, but often it's just hard for me to root for an Akuma player 😅 Especially when the opponent is a Heihachi. I'm not even a Joka fan, but it's hard not to root for the good old iron grandpa.
@@disruptor6550 I couln't agree more dude, i'm a Mishima fan but i've been watching SuperAkouma play for a while now so i'm kind of a fan and honestly, i think Akuma had such hard and easy-to-drop combos (and still does, as we can see in the video) before qcb+3+4 that it kinda made him """""""""""""balanced""""""""""""". Anyways, any side of this match was fair to root for
@@matheusqc5405 Oh yeah absolutely. Akuma is definitely very hard to play, and I appreciate that Super Akouma is a character loyalist, that's rare these days. But when you have Akuma (the #1 strongest character on paper) going up against Heihachi (the arguably hardest tournament character in the game and also mid tier), I just can't help rooting for the underdog.
Hei is far from the worst character in the game, but yeah, he is arguably the hardest tournament character in the entire game. Mad props to Joka for pulling this off, especially vs the #1 character on paper.
I think Arslan plays Zafina because he likes to play with female characters and in Zafina's case, she is also a H-tier character. Look at his kof matches, he plays with girls as his main team on that game as well.
Hey, TheMainManSWE, I recently just started playing Tekken, I started on Tekken 6 PSP, planning to buy Tekken 7 to practice online, I'm still hot garbage at Paul Phoenix but I'm getting there, planning to practice Heihachi in Tekken 7 but I'm just currently training with Paul ATM...
I love seeing 2D vs 3D. It’s like seeing a mash of both worlds. I do hope we get at least 1 2D character, like ryu or ken. I’d consider them more fair.
Pad is not some super difficult tool lol. It is far superior to stick in many ways. Source: 16 years Mishima player on pad. Biggest downside is replacing my rubber contacts on a 3-6 month rolling average lol.
