I was listening to a radio talk show in New York, and several New Yorkers were saying they won't support her in the future because of her role in forcing Al Franken out of the Senate. Now she has dropped out of the presidential race. What she did is always going to shadow her--and it should.

Regardless of what you might think about his political positions, it is hypocritical to say he doesn't have the right to hold office while there's a man running for the democratic nomination for president who has done worse - not to mention the actual president (to the extreme that his first wife testified in court under oath that he had beaten & raped her)

My support for Senator Franken has never wavered. He’s a decent hard working politician who dedicated his post SNL life to the state of MN. I understand what he did was the best thing to do, but I believe he didn’t do anything that deserved or warranted the treatment he received. If Roy Moore and DJT are still working in Washington and this guy was run outta town, there’s something seriously wrong with this country. Since I don’t have Sirius, I can’t wait to listen to excerpts of his podcast.

I don't know if it's true or not, but I remember hearing a few months ago that some congressional Democrats were talking about wanting Franken back. I was halfway through reading the third of one of his books I have read when he was railroaded. I can't get through the rest, I am still that pissed. Who doesn't miss this man. He' brilliant and was a force to be reckoned with on the hearings. He did the right thing resigning, showing again his principles and commitment to not have double standards, taking responsability for his actions and showing respect for the office. He should definitely run for reelection. We can't destroy a man's work, especially such an important work for everybody based on some bad taste jokes and behaviour he did years ago. It's PC going overboard and feeds into far right talking points not fixing anything but actually doing more damage. It's hypocritical and Insane, even more on these times we live in, where REAL predators and sick monsters get to keep running office and the country.

Thank the Lord, Gillibrand is done and over as a candidate. We've needed Al Franken - he was ALWAYS more effective in Congress -- than Kirsten Gillibrand.

This crowd is so timid. They seem so afraid to laugh or react to anything just because of the hit job that was lead by Roger Stone. Just because someone is accused of something, doesn't mean they're guilty. It's called innocent until proven guilty. Isn't it miraculous how all the allegations against Franken went away, as soon as he resigned. It's almost as if someone got what they wanted and didn't actually care about getting justice for these supposed victims.
