Al Wilson is my favorite VOL of all time!! If he wasn't on the team in 98 they would not have won the national championship!! He was that important to the team!! If he didn't get a career ending neck injury in the nfl I think he would have made the pro football hall of fame! I think he may still have a small chance to make it one day anyways but that's just my opinion.

My best friend lived right above Tee during the 98-99 year. We went to a few parties at his condo (behind pilot on the strip) and hung with Al, Jamal, Shawn Johnson and some other dudes. Al was imposing as hell but very cool. Nice to my girlfriend whom they had never met. We weren’t super close but Tee and Al would always say hi when we saw them around school. My fellow RA was Jamal’s tutor and they had us up at Gibbs a bunch and got us into the weight room at the complex. UT football was life or death. They didn’t lose a game at neyland until FL during my jr year(which was a bullshit TD call)… Big Al and Jamal

@@zackamania6534 that's gotta be some great memories & what a team!! The Bama win this year was great & all of college football went crazy over the goalpost being thrown in the river but that wasn't the first the first time that was done. I know you remember it too! I mentioned that being done in 98 after the Florida win on a RU-vid channel that was talking about the goalpost after the Bama win & they didn't like me mentioning that at all, which wasn't what I was expecting! I love that things are getting much better in Knoxville but I don't ever see anything topping the 98 team for me, personally!!

you knew i couldnt miss this one! haha stopped everything to check this out, wasnt disappointed, never am with your videos. My favorite part of these highlights was seeing him in man coverage on Faulk and Alexander - and making a damn play too. Al Wilson DJ Williams and Ian Gold are one of my alltime favorite LB cores.

But yea, for a downhill thumper, dude was pretty damn good in coverage too. Yea, being a Broncos fan, I really liked that combo too. Too bad they had their problems that prevented that from being a more prominent corps.. but they were definitely a talented bunch.

@@StrangeVoodooTV Yea man I still remember that Indy Playoff game I believe was the #1 offense vs the #1 Defense that year and it ended up being pretty ugly lol. Those teams were very good though and a ton of fun to watch. I see you snuck Romo in there quick too! 👀👀👀👀

Just to let ya know I read the comments b 4 I watched the video and I made the assumption that your videos were about vols that played in the nfl after watching I realized that mite not be the case so I just wanted to let ya know all those players I listed are all tennessee vols from the 80's but anyway I'm digging your work, thanks and keep it up!! @@bryanelam7431 Haha! No problem, bud. Yea, I figured after I read some of those names (and your other comment about Al) that they were all Vols, which is all good. But nah, I do all retired players.. NFL players mostly, but if I can find college (or even High School) footage of them, I try to include it. But I'll definitely look into doing some of those you mentioned for sure! I'll let you know how it goes. And thanks man, really glad to hear you're enjoying my stuff! Hope to see ya around again.
