@@TheAlStewartArchives David, his lead guitarist with the Empty Pockets told me that Al has written GREAT new material, some of which is recorded already. Ron Scott, his manager, confirmed that the songs are amazing. It would be a crime if these new masterpieces were never released. Kickstarter?
@TheAlStewartArchives
@TheAlStewartArchives 3 года назад
@@rac7773 I discussed this a while back on the Facebook group and have heard Al talk about it - I think Al's issue is that people have kind of stopped buying albums, and he mentioned that he's never released an album that didn't sell at least 10,000 copies and doesn't want to start now. I agree the fans would happily fund the release of any material from him but I think ultimately it has to be a personal decision from Al. If there is a kickstarter I'd definately contribute!
@rac7773
@rac7773 3 года назад
@@TheAlStewartArchives I would certainly pay a few bills toward it myself. It just seems a tragedy to waste any of the works of the musical and lyrical genius Al Stewart. According to Ron Scott, these songs DESERVE to be on albums for posterity. Thanks for your response, David. Bob

You are most welcome, Carlos. Thank you for listening. I don't actually know what tracks Tori did the backing vocals on - I'd always assumed that's her harmonizing with Al on the song "Call of the Wild". I could ask on the Al Stewart Facebook group for you if you'd like more info? I do know that Tori also sang on some tracks from the "Last Days of the Century" album though I'm not sure which ones - I think "Red Toupe" was one.
