@@HarveyHirdHarmonics To be fair, David Menkin had years of experience with voice acting while it was Al's first time. When dealing with newbie VA's the director NEEDS to be a bit more handhold-y and guide them through it so it's absolutely not his fault. And even though he only has a few lines, his yelling is much better in Smash Bros so clearly he's capable of doing it, he just needs a good director to bring it out.
I couldn't regionalize Rex's accent right away so I kind of presumed it wasn't his natural accent for some reason. This is kind of cool. It's like Adam Howden supposedly did a younger version of his own accent too for Shulk!
You guys realize he couldn’t give even a shred of a damn right? He’s a show/movie actor first and foremost lmao. Who cares about some stupid video game? And that’s coming from me a huge Xenoblade 2 fan lol.
People say he doesn’t sound anything like Rex however I can just about hear the slightest bit in his voice. Bare in mind this is about 3 or 4 years before he recorded for xeno 2 so something may have changed by then. He had to speak a lot clearer for the voice clips, imagine Rex talking more casually and higher pitched, this is what you’d get most likely. Also you can hear the same accent too.
YourAverageUmbreon ah and here we have another example of a common hater. Obviously he knows not what he says and should play the game instead of whining like a little weeb. Do us a favor and don't come back to the comment section little bitch boy
At least he makes Rex sound younger compared to the JP actor. JP actor may have gotten better direction in delivery, but the voice itself does not fit the 15 year old boy for me.
