@@adredTony First of all westerners do not make fun of Indian films - it is pathtic Indians who make fun of Indian films because Indians do not understand Cinema. Cinema is a fiction and is make believe. In fact Westerns enjoy Indian action if executed properly - what they actually make fun of is random songs with no context that pop in between the film. Indian cinema has a style that it sticks to - it doesn’t have to change to appeal to some section of audience. Crouching tiger hidden dragon is an iconic film because of its over the top action - Chinese films did the mistake of changing their style to realistic to appeal to western audiences - from then onwards their downfall began. Jackie chan was so popular across the Globe because his films were unique with different type of action - then they changed it to realistic action then his films became normal films and lost popularity. Larger than life action is India's style - but it has to be executed properly. Also not all Hollywood movies are great - there are so many ridiculous movies but its their staple
