I think the ceiling is very high. I think the floor is also very high. Expanded playoffs have changed things and winning a Natty will be grueling for any team. That said, I think he can make the playoffs year one, and have the talent to win it all year 1.
@@conmaz I'm a longtime fan of Alabama football my family are alumni of the university of Alabama I been watching going to the games spring games since the age of 5 and we will never get another coach who's similar like the goat saban was I had great years of my crimson Tide dominated college football to the point they had to change it to make him leave just to stop him if they didn't change college football he still be coaching so as a fan I wouldn't care if we don't be the same we did something nobody could do that's dominated college football and change college football we the reason they are coming with this 12 team playoffs and this early signing day transfer portal paying player to come to their schools just so he can't get all the 4&5 Stars players even putting assistant coaches in head coaching jobs and they are successful in their program so you name a football coach do did that and have the most drafts picks in college football the most first round draft picks in college football nobody but my goat saban and the Alabama crimson Tide RTR

He will win... he's very intelligent, personable, articulate, and gutsy to boot! He's a good administrator, and excellent with x's and 0's! As a former collegiate player, i can tell you, he has the "it" factor... his on-field adjustments resulted in him being 5-0 vs Sarkisian and Lanning!

Great to watch Coach DeBoer and staff work hard the way they do. Tuscaloosa and all of Alabama are going to be a very pleased. Mr. Klatt knows Bama is hot ticket 2024. Coach Saban is lab partner with new D Coach Kane Wommack in "Theory of Defenseology" class, working on defensive coverages. Once in a while, after lab, Coach Saban goes to the golf course. Coach Saban earned it. He did it the old-fashioned way. Roll Tide.

104 and 12 let that sink in. As head coach he has won everywhere at every level. I feel this guy is going to run that record up very fast. he has a great program and base to win big and win now. Saban left Bama in a great position, there is no building to be done just reload put his mark on program and go get em. As Bear said I have always been a winner, deboer is lso a winner, and at bama he should thrive.
If he wins a national championship... if... will he go to the NFL or somewhere else that's my big concern is alabama his dream job because if it isn't that worries me
That's a first world problem in my opinion. I'll take one NC in 3 to 5 years and DeBoer leaving for the NFL in a minute. It's hard to predict how long any coach wants to stay in college with the chaos we have right now.

My friend was her high school coach and you're right. She wasn't happy about the move. However she's a person of great character, unlike her father and wants to be at UW. Our community has welcomed her and will welcome her with open arms because she is a great athlete and a great person.
history says, year 1 Alabama coaches always struggle. and yes you don’t gotta tell me “well it’s a different type of football now you got the transfer portal and NIL.” it’s just part of the tradition that stands it seems. you gotta get used to the pressure, the fans will be loud. you gotta get your feet wet, having the keys to the Ferrari, don’t crash the car. Deboer has been to many hostile environments like Oregon during the Cascade Clash/Border Wars or the Apple Cup, but hasn’t been to Knoxville or Death Valley. If he doesn’t get his players ready for those two games, the fans will storm the field again in Knoxville and LSU fans will have the last laugh-for a short period of time. Also they have to play Georgia. In which…I honestly don’t know what’s gonna happen in that game, we’ll see if Kirby is allergic to Alabama or allergic to his father. 9-3 is not out the realm of possibilities but not a complete failure.
I see what you’re saying but 9-3 with our roster should not be acceptable in any situation. Our blue chip ratio is better than most programs. I have faith that deboer can restore our run game along with improving Milroe those two factors alone will make us extremely hard to beat.
History also shows that new Bama coaches adopt a mediocre roster. Do you think Saban would have went 7-6 in 2007 had he adopted even a decent roster? Deboer is adopting a roster that's 88% blue chip ratio, #2 in the country.
Not to mention we have 2 blue blood programs he will start seeing every other year with norman, oklahoma and austin, texas. Hugh freeze @ Auburn isn't anything to laugh at neither. They should have got us last season

You learn just as much about a person for what they don’t say as what they do. This isn’t a shock to me based upon some things over the last 6 months, but Joel uncovered it without trying. Joel asked about coaching Petersen recruits. Jimmy Lake was a terrible coach, but also recruited many of the kids on the team and he didn’t get a mention. Joel asked about Grubb leaving and Kalen didn’t mention Huff who also got a job with the Seahawks. Deboer isn’t family like he preaches. He’s me and you as long as you’re helping me.
