Tuesday, Gov. Kay Ivey was in Mobile today to tout Alabama’s business and economic climate. She weighed in on whether there will be economic fallout from her signing of two bills last week viewed as anti-LGBTQ.
Pretty sure the context is social politics relating to exposing children to sexual topics. No child cares about that and educating them on it is child abuse, end of story

In school, no one taught me who I was supposed to have sex with or be attracted to. They didn’t teach me which religious beliefs were acceptable. School curriculum isn’t “anti LGBTQ” any more than it is “anti church.” In either case, you’re attracted to whom you’re attracted and you believe in higher power based on a spiritual awakening. Neither school curriculum nor church attendance can make that decision for you. Stop politicizing and spinning; it just makes you appear dishonest.

She knows the bill is politically motivated and she knows it harms transgender people. I am an Alabama transplant.I have 3 daughters. Kay Ivey is a role model for young women. She is unapologetic as to the use of Common sense. May the Good Lord Bless and keep Gov. Kay Ivey and the other elders in this country whom serve this nation⁶ with wisdom.

Puberty blockers help save trans lives. And they make it so that surgery down the line (if that's the direction a person wants to go) isn't as intense. This new law could lead to higher rates of anxiety, depression, and suicide. You are actively harming vulnerable children NOT protecting them at all.
They have all this talk about “banned transgender surgery for children” as if ANYBODY under the age of 16 is having surgery. They use their ignorance of trans healthcare to ban it entirely. It’s asinine.

Actually, there are statistics proving more than 80% of trans children grow out of it. They end up regretting their decisions and they are unable to go back. After surgery or hormones, suicide rate among trans people actually increases. The things you're claiming are misinformation and you should do some research.
Yet here you are ignoring science. Right now, there are approximately 650k people in the United States who belong to #3 and #4 of the top biological sexes based on chromosomes (there are at least six, FYI). These cover people who are either XXY or XYY as opposed to XX (female) and XY (male). Those with either XXY or XYY present as female and male, respectively, but are biologically - and scientifically - different. In other words, the whole thing about "if God made you a boy when you're born, you're a boy, etc." is only partially correct because God has made quite a few people who present physically as a boy but may have internal characteristics - whether physical or mental - of a girl. This is how GOD made them, so SHE - and you, it seems - are the ignorant ones. Here's a quick story for you: A few years ago, there was a story about a teenage boy who was, in all regards, perfectly normal. He looked male, he acted male, he had a fully functional male reproductive system. He suddenly became extremely sick. He was growing sicker and could have died when it was discovered that he also had a female reproductive system internally. When he menstruated once a month, the excess blood had nowhere to go since there was no available external exit, causing it to be reabsorbed into his body. This boy was male. However, he was also female. It is a gross simplification to act as if he were just a boy. He was more. You could also do some research into the case of Riley Grant who was born biologically male, but when his brain was mapped, it mapped as a female based on numerous indicators such as taste, scent, emotional reaction, empathy levels, rationality levels, pain tolerance, vocal inflection, and a host of many other factors. The truth is that being male or female has proven in recent years to be much more complex that we've been thinking for centuries (or even decades since modern science began). It is highly possible that our body, your brain, and your reproductive system could all be different biological sexes, or in some cases, biologically one sex but physiologically wired as another sex. It seems crazy but it happens regularly on an ordinary statistical distribution so it is simply part of human reproduction. I do agree with the law because I think minors shouldn't make these decisions, but I also think this woman is quite ignorant... which she is absolutely is.
The issue with what you’re saying is that you’re confusing biological sex (which trans people don’t deny is real) with gender. If someone has a penis, they’re biologically male (usually, except in cases of intersex people). It doesn’t mean their gender expression is going to reflect their biological sex. Anatomy has nothing to do with personality.

The good lord makes you a boy/girl "when you're born" ... it is genetically determined long before birth, lady. The good lord doesn't wave a pixie wand as each individual exits the womb. Neither does the good lord pass predatory legislation against each individual as they exit the womb. The children are not "protected" because we heap legislated expectations on them for their chromosomes. My child, born a definite boy, was not protected from life-threatening congenital disorders. Anti LBGTQ+ legislation didn't protect him, and neither did the good lord. There's ignorance, insanity, and then there's *politics* for which no rationality exists.
