I'm not a Georgia fan, but I couldn't agree more. I watched the whole game (as an Oregon fan I wanted Texas to lose). I was utterly shocked by some of the ref calls against Georgia.
I've been saying all season, Texas is a fraud. They have not played anyone prior to Georgia; and when they finally play someone with a pulse, they folded like a cheap suit. Devoer is overrated: Alabama has the #1 ranking for composite team talent; and is ranked #2 for blue chip roster; and they are in complete disarray. SEC is wide open!
The Georgia defense won that game Where has its it been all year Texas O-line could not hold back Georgia D-line that’s elite Game over Georgia needs that Defense to show up every game
Bad calls on both sides of the ball. SEC needs to let the teams play football. Good win by Georgia but Texas looked absolutely atrocious with Ewers starting. He is not the one
@@joemagarac405The flag was thrown at the time of the pass, not after the play. However, the call WAS incorrect. It should have been defensive holding, not DPI. Also, the officials broke the rules with that reversal. Once the penalty has been marked off and the ball placed for the next play, the penalty cannot be reviewed or reversed. Kirby will get fined, but he was correct about the bad officiating.
The SEC refs have now shown that fans can alter the game by throwing bottles onto the field to get a call reversed. Absolutely SHAMEFUL, cowardly decision by the referees!!
@@edisntavailableWhether it was the right call or not is not the point. It's not supposed to be reversed. Refs have made bad calls before and stuck with them. These refs were the worst I've ever seen. You can't let unruly fans affect your decision.
@@TrillQGming Officials can gather and discuss picking up a flag at anytime. They do it all the time. You just don't see it because most of those flags they pick up are not so consequential.
@@TrillQGming Because its unreviewable. How many thousands of times have the refs made a HORRIBLE PI or holding call and we have been told its not a reviewable play, move on? Its one of the few infuriating but consistent officiating rules for the longest time. Its a gray area but we all know what really happened which is what makes it so bad to most. Did they "officially" review it? No. Did they take the time while the field was cleared to watch the jump tron and review it together on the field....absolutely. Its a benefit that no other team has ever gotten. Meanwhile no flag or even an announced warning for delay of game due to the trash? The original call was horrid. The handling afterwards, someone shouldn't be allowed to ref anymore.
They do it all the time. They gather and discuss picking up some flags in almost every game. You just don't see it because they usually don't involve such consequential plays. They made the right decision didn't they? There wasn't any PI foul.
@@tylenoljackson9378 They do NOT call and announce the penalty, spot the ball, get ready for the play THEN decide that it was a bad call. If you think that happens all the time you are a casual. They either looked up at the replay or got a phone call. All not permitted under the rules. Even worse when you couple it w/ the fact they obviously only overturned it because of the delay of the fans throwing trash on the field, which should have been flagged. Let's not pretend that was normal.
@@TheMCJ2011 I said that in a previous RU-vid video. Or unsportsman like conduct on the fans? But it did look a little bit like pass interference, but then could've gone either way too. Buckeyes lost on a pass interference taking them out of field goal range last week. It happens. We won a national championship against Miami on an iffy pass interference. If Alabama wins out and they can, they'll still make the playoffs.
So instead of talking about the actual game yall talk about Kirby’s comments!?!? I haven’t seen this much gaslighting from you guys ever yall didn’t give Georgia a chance to beat Texas!! Also the refs did try to steal it they have Texas 15 points with bad PI calls against Georgia which gave them the first 6 then the one that should’ve gone against Texas they changed the call because fans threw cans of beer all over the field and they didn’t even flag them for that which gave them another 7 points then Georgia runs it in and it is plain as day on the replay and the refs didn’t change the call!! Etienne got in on 4th down but if he didn’t it’s a 1 score game and everything could’ve played out differently!!! There’s no way anyone who watched the game doesn’t know what Kirby is talking about!!!!
The majority of the mainstream talking heads are all signed with the same talent agencies as the athletes and coaches. This gas lighting is all by design. It's also why they're pretending the nepotistic Bronny stuff isnt cringe, and why Colorado gets more love than the majority of top 10 teams.
you think kalen deboer is the right choice moving forward? dan lanning gets SEC football. steve sarkisian gets SEC football. they have been assistants of a high profile high pressure college. they know what it takes. they declined the job because they have the resources to win. kalen deboer still thinks he’s in Seattle. he will not last and will hear it from the callers Monday. they lost to a team that should’ve lost to Florida and Florida took Tennessee to OT
Don't worry - they will flag the %$#@ out of any other team for that display. This is what drove the members of the B12 bonkers - Texas literally gets whatever they want, the conference is on board. This won't be the last handie given to the Horns in front of a national audience.
Saban saw the team was on the decline and jumped off at the perfect time. He didn't want to coach Milroe another season. Bama barely beat USF last year, they needed a miracle hail mary against Auburn to get into the playoff.
@@buster4451 Are you honestly saying that this season's roster is anywhere as good as last season's? They lost a lot of talent and experience, they have a lot of true freshmen playing. I had Bama losing two games at this point, but I did not have them beating Georgia and losing to Vandy. Obviously Vandy is half decent this year, I did not expect them to be better than half of the SEC, I am pretty certain they would beat Missouri right now, and possibly Ole Miss. Saban knew his time was up, why do you think he (and Dabo) was so vocal against NIL and the portal? He lost his advantage, the SEC lost their advantage too, it is not coincidence that once those two new factors arrived, suddenly the SEC was the third best conference last season behind the PAC-12 and Big 10.
Milroe more worried about looking cool with one white leg, than studying beyond page one of the playbook. Bill O’Brien is laughing along with the rest of us RTR 😂
Kudos to Georgia! Most Texas fans drank the koolaid mid season but had this game as a loss to start the year. UGA circled this game in the spring and came out with a game plan they didn’t put on tape. They risked losing to bama with a vanilla game plan to make a statement against Texas crazy
That's the funny thing, UGA did not have this game circled in the offseason, couldn't afford to. This isn't the Big 12 where you play 1 or 2 good teams (OU got exposed...). If anything the Alabama game was the one circled for a lot of reasons. Let's not pretend UGA prepped all offseason for Texas. This isn't the Big 12...
I Love Seeing Alabama & Texas Fans Cry On The Same Day , This Is The Best Weekend I've Had In A Long Time , Tennessee & Georgia Thank You Very Much For A Pleasant Weekend 😂👍✌️
Since the second half of the Georgia win Bama has played like garbagio. No discipline on D. Milroe can't hit wide open receivers. O-line cant stop a 3 man pass rush.
Adding Texas and OU to the SEC has made the conference way more interesting. We may not see an undefeated SEC school in years to come. The closest team would be Georgia.
ESPN made it clear all week… Georgia had no chance to win this game and we probably shouldn’t bother to even make the trip. Because Texas beat Michigan and Oklahoma and those teams are clearly awesome!
You soft Georgia fans. Was ESPN supposed to talk all week about how 'next level, unbeatable' Georgia is? ESPN was simply trying to build excitement for this game, outside of Georgia and Texas. It worked, I watched and I couldn't care less about ether of these teams.
Matt, lay off of Kirby. They were being so disrespectful on GameDay. You just said you didn't see it, so how can you judge Kirbys reaction to what was said on game day. He had every right to say what he said. Go Dawgs!!!!
Alabama would've been better served if they would have ignored Saban's recommendation and hired Lane Kiffin. He was proven in the SEC.Saban's dislike of Kiffin cost him a natty, now it's costing the entire fan base.
Tennessee fans are crazy. They had a Reddit thread condemning Daniels for not saying anything nice about Tennessee in a game Bama won by 30 pts. Tennessee lost to Ark. They’re not good. Bama lost to Vandy and Tenn. They’re not good. Did Tenn outplay Bama? Yep. Is a bama team with 2 losses before November super rare and below their standards?
Michael Penix Jr’s season last year as a player and a player coach of a 14-0 team who won IN SPITE of the coaching staff, keeps aging like a fine wine.
It wasn't you barrie, it was GameDay, so he felt disrespected, what he and UGA has accomplished and they rave over a newcomer to the sec in Texas, i as a UGA fan felt the bias that gameday was showing. So Kirby let it all out

Everyone forgets that Milroe got benched for the USF game last year and only came back the following week because Saban decided the other two QB's on the depth chart were even worse. Alabama only beat Auburn last year because God himself came down from heaven to intervene.
I am still confused, not that they accepted the invitation so much, but why they were invited in the first place. Adding Missouri was silly enough. What was the thinking there?

Kirby was talking about College Gameday, not the whole channel although it came out like that. He clarified it in post game. Matt Berie seems like the biggest corporate rat 😆
He was the kid growing up that would run and tell on you if he saw you doing something you weren't suppose to be doing lol. He probably does the same thing in the corporate setting.
I'm getting tired of this narrative against Bama and Deboer. It's his first year as HC of this team. We never ring out coaches like this in their first year under a system. We're not even ringing out Riley at USC. Had you told me some new HC in the SEC would be 5-2 with a win over Georgia. Anyone would be extactic. But bc its Bama everyone is losing their lid. He'll be fine. Yall just set your expectations too high. Saban over achieved last year, Deboer is working with a new team, in a new conference. Give the guy a couple of years. 5-2 is an amazing start.
The root cause of all these programs who underperform their ability is NIL and the transfer portal. You give a kid money now, he’s already made it so he doesn’t have to stay hungry. You call him out in practice or give some snaps to a player that still has some hunger, he redshirts and transfers. There are an extremely small number of coaches who can keep these kids hungry. Teams that started hungry and then got complacent: Bama, USC, Tenn, Ole Miss. Teams that have been underperforming all year: Florida, FSU. Manning got Oregon ready for OSU but he struggled to get them up for a lot of earlier games. Smart is the OG Saban disciple and is the only one I see for sure keeping his kids ready to go.
What other teams have is not what’s beating Alabama. Penalties, DB’s getting smoked, lack of coaching/filmwork, no pressure, coaches are clueless on how to fix anything, QB is lost, hurt o😊r both. Yes other schools can buy players but Bama is not winning at the basics at this point.
Exactly. And that us why Saban retired. He never was a great coach, he just had the best players. With NIL that went away and Saban could see the writing on the wall.
Good win for Georgia. I am a Texas fan. Your front seven dominated our offensive line and Quin did a bad job stepping up in the pocket. Hopeffly we learn and Improve . I have faith. Its a long season .
Tried to warn you that Kalen DeBoer wasn't any good If you watched Washington's games last season, he got outcoached by Jonathan Smith (then at his alma mater Oregon St), Troy Taylor (Stanford), Jake Dickert (Wazzu), and, of course, Jim Harbaugh in the national championship game, and Harbaugh showed mercy because that game could have turned into another TCU-Georgia. The truth of the matter is that the Pac-12 wasn't very good, but ESPN tried to sell it as the best football conference last year so as not to isolate all of its viewers on the West Coast. DeBoer had a team that had much more talent than the rest of the Pac-12, and he only beat Oregon twice because Bo Nix is incompetent in real games, just like he was at Auburn. It's no surprise that he's one of the worst QBs in the NFL. Notice how different Oregon is now that they have one of the better QBs in college football. Just because a coach has a good record, doesn't mean he's a good coach. Larry Coker and Jimbo Fisher inherited loaded teams, which led to inflated records, but when they had to get their own players and lead programs on their own, they both failed miserably. That's what's happening to this guy who doesn't even have ties to the South because he's from the boondocks in South Dakota.
Yeah, he won all those games you fool, and coaches don't show mercy in National Championships. UW made adjustments and got within a score in the 4th. A few Penix overthrows prevented a full comeback. Saban saw the roster he built was not that good, his QB is not good. Saban retires once NIL and the transfer portal took away the advantage of certain SEC teams had in paying athletes under the table while other programs played by the rules.
Washington had way less talent than Oregon and USC and they beat both of them. They also had less talent than every team in the playoff that year. Deboer did more with less. 🤡
And please don’t act like getting blown out in the championship means anything about coaching. Remember when Nick Saban and the “greatest Alabama team” got completely embarrassed by Trevor Lawrence and Clemson?
Paul you need to stop making big pronouncement about one game. When Alabama beat Georgia, you labeled them a dynasty. Now, they have 2 loses. The Georgia game vs Texas their program was on the line with one game. You picked Texas. Georgia won 30-15. Paul, you are losing credibility by making grandiose comments about just one game.
@@alexmangrum90As someone from outside the SEC, anyone objectively understands UGA and Kirby rule. Texas or LSU could be SEC contenders. UAT is mediocre. JUST A FACT!
That lost to Alabama. Now think about what you said. Elite is no losses, even then your always one game away from not being elite. Rethink your thinking!
Bama basically gave Tennessee the game. So you can’t credit them for that win. Yes they won, that’s the fact of the matter. But if bama played just a little bit better they would’ve won
@@Hamp72 that's a great take if your IQ is 2 😂😂😂😂 Tennessee defense completely shut Bama out and had mildew on his back and running for his life 😂😂😂 you mfers would die before you would say Tennessee is good and I can't wait till that defense goes to Athens will Georgia be garbage then or what
I’ve been saying this since the rose bowl. I said it the day after his amazing first half against UGA. He is overrated. He is stoppable. He will not trick me with a few great performances.
Just another guy in a long list of athletes that try to play QB. At the next level when the playing field is equal and the game speeds up he will struggle to go through progressions. He will struggle to make throws in tight windows on critical plays. After his rookie contract is up he'll be shipped to another team where he'll eventually flake out of the league.
Why is it that every time Tennessee beats a team all of these people move the goal posts. They’ll be hyping up Bama one week, and then Tennessee beats them and they’re always like: “Oh they’re just a train wreck.”
Because we all watched the gawd awful Bama team blow a game with one bone-headed play after another, against a Tennessee team which could barely get out of its own way.
Bama overlooked the myriad coaching snafus DeBoer performed at U-Dub, so they shouldn't be surprised when they occur in Tuscaloosa. Literally EVERY game he's had one or more head-scratching decisions. Might not have mattered yesterday, since Milroe was NOT good to large swathes of the game.
I don't understand why analysts get on TV and say now the players are getting paid now we can criticize them. They've always criticized them. What does them being paid have anything to do with it?
As a Texas fan id say we shouldn’t see Ewers again this season. He play horrible. Looks slow sluggish and had no sense of pocket presence. It was bad to watch. If Texas has a chance at a Title this season they need to go ahead and start Arch Manning. Ewers just doesn’t look good
Kalen Deboer is an amazing coach and Alabama should be happy to have him. Saban left a pretty depleted team and the game is much more like the nfl now with talent being spread out now. Saban had an unfair advantage when Saban was there because nobody can legally get paid.
This is t like it was 2 years ago yeah people did believe Georgia could win it it all but the last 2 weeks all Georgia players and fans have heard is that Georgia isn’t Georgia this season and all yall did was doubt the Dawgs and no one gave us a chance against Texas!!!!!! All week long yall talked down about us and they took that motivation and made it happen!!!!! Yall don’t act like you thought Georgia would dominate Texas like they did!!!!
Paul is so full of himself. We knew this could be a transition year for Bama. I remember Bama lost to Georgia in Saban's first year because he didn't have the DBs he needed to run his defense. And the new rules with the transfer portal have ruined everything about the game.
Certainly ruined it for Washington. DeBoer's ego and inflated sense of importance resulted in all but 2 starters transferring out of Washington. But even in a transition year, did you Bama fans really circle Vanderbilt as a loss? The question that Barrie and Finebaum bring up is the discipline of the Crimson Tide players. The Huskies had problems with DeBoer coached teams over these same issues, although it was mostly stupid holding or offsides penalties. The complete meltdown of Alabama players in critical situations has been a concern this year.
With this win for Tennessee: they've know won two of the last three meetings against Alabama after losing 15 consecutive. This is also the first time since 2004 and 2006 Tennessee beat Alabama consecutively in Knoxville. However, this is now the 4th time out of the last 12 conference games in which Tennessee did not score more than 25 points. Again, it's great for Tennessee that they defeated a team they usually don't beat, but they still need to improve on offense because for the first time since 1963, Tennessee went three consecutive games without scoring any points in the first half. As for Alabama, this is the first time since 1929 Alabama lost twice in the State of Tennessee in the same season. This is now the 4th time Alabama had two or more losses in the regular season within the last 16 years (2022, 2019, and 2010 were the others). This is also the first time since Nick Saban's first season at Alabama, 2007, in which the Crimson Tide lost two games in the regular season before November. And the problem with Alabama is that they lack discipline and what happened that night was weeks in the making now that Saban is gone. From the Alabama player punting the football in celebration after defeating Georgia to the Alabama player vs Tennessee flopping on purpose (after being told to do so by one of the members of the coaching staff), if Nick Saban was still coaching, he'd a ripped the players a new one. But at least this is a rivalry once again. I really hope the league expands to 9 games so Alabama and Tennessee can continue to play because even though I am an Alabama fan, I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN and this is a rivalry I hold very near and dear to my heart. Even Nick Saban on College GameDay said that the Tennessee game was a bigger rivalry to his players than the Auburn game because they wanted to wake up for the Tennessee game while having a harder time getting up for the Auburn game. Another classic game in this long played rivalry, although the previous one in Knoxville was way better and one of the greatest in CFB history.
Paul is bummed out his Bama team lost. Nick is retired, welcome to earth. So great to hear him and Bama fans cry instead of boast. Debois didn't play crappy at the QB position. The sad part, they didn't even Tennessee credit for not giving up and playing 60 minutes. Great beat down by Georgia against Texas, Paul is dying inside watching them be the next great SEC team. Bama will offer Kirby 120 million to go coach there soon.
That hole coaching staff is in over their head with the exception of Maybe of the DC I believe he at least he has a clue since he coached in the south and to say Milroe being a Heisman container is a joke. He’s never been that.
So Auburn already tried the letmist test, when they hired a coach from the West. That told all SEC schools don't hire from West. Now Bama fall down the same twilight zone...
@@Americansfinest21 It's not the losses, it's who they lost to, and almost lost to when the game seemed all but sealed. Did you Bama fans have Vanderbilt circled as a loss this year?
Texas stacked the 1st half of their season with teams they could easily win. They threw in a a Mississippi state team in there. They dont play LSU, Ole Miss, or Alabama. So they were #1 by default. Now they get a real SEC powerhouse and they folded. Or national TV. For everyone to see. LSU /Texas should be on the schedule this season. Ole Miss.
@alfredsturdivnat9267 If you think that Brian Kelly is overrated...get off the crack.DeBoar has never been a better coach than Kelly...who is now the winningest coach in college football. That's just ignorant.
How did all of the experts ignore that DeBoer only had 2yrs as a HC at a power school, 2 more at an FBS school, plus he had to spend 10yrs as OC at lower to middling schools to get there?
Finebaum is like whatever Bama did in the 1st half of the Georgia game.... you mean all the bad calls or missed calls. Go back and watch. No offensive PI, Bama Dbs bot getting called for holding and PI. Bama Oline just dragging people down. Thats the reason Bama won. Refs gave it to them like they did in SeC champ game. 1st natty, etc.
Every week, it seems like this show is 80% SEC with a sprinkle of Deion Sanders talk, and little to no discussion of any other conference. Yet the BIG 10 will have 3 teams in the top 5.
Well... I mean... this is ESPN/ABC. They just started a 10 year deal to be the exclusive home for SEC games. And they're already in a 20-year deal with the literal "SEC Network" (where Finebaum has a show). (Plus SEC games have the highest TV ratings anyway.) Big 10's deal is with literally all the other networks (Fox, NBC, CBS). This is a business. If you want a focus on a particular conference, go to the networks who have deals with that conference. There's literally a "Big 10 Network."
As a vol fan, i hate to admit that kirby making those types of comments is probably good for his team. Puts a chip on their shoulder and shows them how much he cares
1) Milroe doesn't play defense. 2) Milroe doesn't coach. 3) When you take a guy from the woke Northwest/West and transfer him to the non-woke Southeast...look out. Bear Bryant and DeBoer are as different as night and day - and it shows. When Bryant was at Bama, everyone _knew_ who was in charge. Discipline is missing at Bama right now, but wokeness isn't. 4) When you hand your opponent a gift of around 115 yards on a silver platter in penalties, you severely diminish your chances of winning. That again goes to the lack of discipline and the lack of good coaching. 5) Shame that a guy as brilliant and talented as Ryan Williams has to watch passes go astray that were meant for him. Even a guy like him with Heisman written all over him can't work miracles with some of this stuff headed his way. 6) When your opponent is as bungling as you are and hands you GIFT AFTER GIFT and you fail to capitalize on any of them, that is one of the most cringeworthy parts of watching this cringeworthy mess that is Bama right now. 7) Opponents have got the undecisive Milroe completely figured out by now. If they don't, they need to fire THEIR coaches. A team needs BALANCE - you can't get behind and expect ONE GUY to bail you out of the hole you've got yourself into. Tua and Bryce aren't around anymore. 8) Look for DeBoer to join the long line of coaches to get the boot sooner rather than later. That Northwest mindset just ISN'T going to work in the SEC. That takes some hard knocks and toughness. These are barely grown young men you're dealing with. They NEED mental toughness. They've got a lot of growing up to do...real fast.
