The crew got together for another trip to Choccolocco Mountain Offroad in Jacksonville, Alabama. Much like 2020, this trip was plagued with issues: (1) Had a blowout in the rear of the van. The blowout managed to take out the coolant line that was running to the rear heat. After a few hours on the side of the road we finally managed to get everything back together. (2) We had a Jeep run out of gas on the trail (3) We had to do some death wobble diagnosis on the way home so Stopher could drive it back to Hattiesburg. Luckily a parts store nearby had what we needed to get it fixed. All of the issues aside, we had a great time. The park has gotten more difficult and with the addition of some rain, we failed to make it through some spots that we have done in the past.
I finally got to test out the camping van setup with the awning and door screens from SkeeterBeaters. Being able to sleep with the doors open is crucial since the van does not have camping AC. Pumped on how everything worked and super ready to use the van again.
