The Pine Belt Jeep Club made a trip to Choccolocco Mountain Offroad Park in Jacksonville, Alabama. We visited the park a couple of years ago with a pretty big crew and everyone really enjoyed it. This year we came back with a smaller group which allowed us to cover a large area of the park. Our group included three locked JKUs on 37s and my locked TJ on 35s.
Choccolocco is a great park for Jeeps our size and has plenty of trails for the one ton and 40s crowd. Every trail at the park had plenty of good rocks and challenging spots. I highly recommend this park to anyone looking to do some Jeep riding in eastern Alabama.
The weather was pretty decent for August and camping at night was kind of enjoyable. All of the Jeeps performed great and we did not have any issues on the trail.
Everyone we met was super friendly and helped point us in the right directions more than a few times. Shout out to them! Our group had the smallest rigs at the park BY FAR, but we had a blast trying to keep up with the big boys for a little bit, challenging our rigs, and getting some good footage of them on the big rocks.
I hope you enjoy the Choccolocco ride video! Please subscribe to the channel and follow on Instagram @ThatJeepAdventure for more Jeep content.

I’m sure these videos take a lot of work to put together. They are awesome and I appreciate you doing so! Perfect balance of music and commentary as well. We just bought our first Jeep last month so these videos have been really cool to watch!

Before it was a park we called it dump road and the hurricane trail can you still get to cut off road?

Choccolocco Mountain is a bad ass park. What park in the southeast should we hit next? We were thinking about making the hike to SMORR in the fall.

I'm in an FJ on 33s, sliders, with a rear locker and 2 " lift. What were the trails yall were on rated? Could I do the 3 level trails in that rig?

Guess it would depend on how much you don’t mind beating on it haha. All of us are locked front and rear and on at least 35s. It was hard on mine for sure

How bad are the main trails? Going here with the gambler 500 in April in my stockish Jeep

Being on the gambler I would assume they are sticking to service roads and lighter trails, but in a stock Jeep the 3s will be tough. I’d say mostly that the trails are narrow there, which opens you up to more body damage possibilities. I love that park though. Super fun

If your in a rubicon or have lockers, you’ll be better off for sure
